    S1mple is finally coming back to professional Counter-Strike, just not in the way anyone expected.
    He’s not stepping back up on NAVI. He’s not joining C9. He’s now playing for Falcons, as a rifler, for a month.
    Only question is… why?

    I honestly think this a test for both S1mple and Falcons. Its no secret Falcons were trying to get a star player, and with S1mple on loan, this could be what they need to become a Major contender and potentially get S1mple as a permeant role on the team. For S1mple, this is his test to see what he can do after taking a break, and to see what teams might be interested in him after the Blast showdown. Tbh, I wouldn't be surprised if we see a +S1mple -B1t, but we'll just have to wait till the Blast Showdown for the answer.

    • @DomzyDX
      @DomzyDX 6 месяцев назад +4

      Not likely, the absence of another ukranian player (s1mple) is why b1t wants to leave Navi. If it's +s1mple it's gonna be -IM since hes not been performing as well as expected and b1t and s1mple play well together and are famously close friends. OR even possibly they keep IM as young talent and boot JL but I don't know about that tbh..

    Definitely think he’s playing for Falcons as to not compete in the majors and possibly have a chance to win it not on NaVi, something he doesn’t want to do. I think he’s testing out his LAN performance again and possibly generating some buzz to see if another team or falcons themselves offer something ridiculous for him after majors if he does have a good performance. Plus, not saying that all teams aren’t trying, but if you haven’t qualified for majors or you are an org that has qualified but isn’t trying to expense a lot of focus and energy on playing outside of it, chances are you’re not playing as good and it gives simple a window to play really good and generate some positive feedback.

      @@zjeee nobody wants to normalise undue influence from countries like saudi but it was only a few years ago when players at simple's age had to retire. average age of cs players are in their early 20s so 26 is getting up there in age but the best players who are older can at least have longer cs careers than previous gen of players. would we be as outriaged if simple joined a russian cs team like virtus pro or team spirit or a chinese cs team? if you want to limit it to countries who kill people across the world, why not bring the US into the fold who eliminate people all over the world or cause unnnessary wars...my point is most people who criticise would make the decision to take up team falcons offer even though we talk a big game about morals & values, ultimately simple joining falcons does equal him being okay with saudi's human rights record. it's a decision to put his future first.

    It’s a very smart move from simple
    If he does bad with Falcons, he and his fans can blame the team and Saudi money, while if he performs well on the team then everyone will talk about the goat being back.
    Simple can’t lose here.

    I'm not going to lie, it leaves a very sour taste in my mouth that s1mple, a very outspoken critic of Russias human rights violations in Ukraine, would join Falcons of all orgs, even if it's only temporary.

      I don't think you can genuinely fathom the amount of money he is being paid for that 1 month. If it was a full time salary, you'd think you could buy the whole world the way you'd act with that much income.

      If it leaves that much of a sour taste in your mouth, do realize that Ukraine has been at the forefront, alongside the US in supporting Israel with it's genocide. It's all a proxy war US and Russia are playing and we are all caught up in it

    This Falcons stint will just go down as a training ground for him for upcoming competitive plays. Na'Vi will constantly keep tabs on him and his progress in CS2. Once they're convinced that the GOAT never left, they'll re-up his contract and find a spot for him in the roster. Smart move from S1mple and Na'vi. S1mple gets the quick $$$ and Na'Vi gets a break from monthly payments.

    His prime is over. All my old heroes from cs 1.6 had a hard time in cs source. and the best from source were not seen in global offensive. That's exactly how it looks now. Bit from Navi is still in top because he never stopped,,,,but simply lacks the competition for months now. I don't think he'll ever be as fast and as good as he was a few years ago.
    but I could also, HOPEFULLY, be wrong because it's still simple ;)
