70 USD seems steep compared to the other Hwange camps. Was it worthwhile and do you need to book in advance or can you do when arriving at Hwange. Did you book online and please provide details of possible. Loving your adventure 🙌🙌
Yes, it is pretty expensive, especially for a site with no functioning ablutions :). I booked in advance via whatsapp (+263 77 404 1757) but it is much cheaper if you book on arrival - I think about half the price. But then the site you want may not be available. I paid $588 for 2 people (2 nights at Makwa Platform and 2 nights at Masuma dam). That included conservation fees but excluded vehicle fees.
I have been 14 times in Hwange in the last 11 years most on my own self drive was camping in Detema and other picknick side. Hwange is an eldorado for visitors who want to see lions. (in 2023 october I saw in 8 days 21 times lions!) Oh BTW: I have tonnes of video about Hwange on my channel and I don't make money with them either.
Yes. It is quite expensive if you are not from zim. Much cheaper if you don't book in advance, but then you might not get the private campsite that you want
JUST STUNNING, Though way to short!! MORE PLEASE
Thanks so much! I will try upload one a week till December, but that depends on finding the time to edit.
The peace and tranquillity is palpable. Beautiful footage of the drongos!
Thanks Mark. Yeah it was a really perfect afternoon

Loving that dynamic range... I need to get back over there!!
Yeah, it's a great camera. Make a plan to visit again - I'm sure you can come up with a project and find some funding.
