Why didn't they build this at International Airport? Overseas tourists won't waste their time coming to shop here as they busy with tours. Only local travellers once a year allowed. Hope they done marketing research. It looks so empty.

An alleged negligence denied X entry into the Port City Duty Free. X flight landed in SL close to Mid Night on the 15th. Accordingly, X legally entered the country on 16th as shown in the Immigration stamp dated 16th in P/P. However, on the 19th, X was denied entry to the Port City, Duty Free stating the (04) day period had lapsed as the Computer in put by the Immigration shown as 15th Arrival. But, X legally entered the country on the 16th as per Immigration stamp in Passport. Thereby denied entry. Should not the date of legally entering should be considered?
As per web search, Definition of First Date of Arrival (FDOA) :" refers to the date of arrival as shown in flight schedule". Seems the computer would have taken your flight arrival date and time as FDOA. Hope this clarifies, please note this is as per web.
Do we need to buy a ticket or make any payment to visit the Port city Duty free (other than parking tickets)? Planning to visit in December. Thanks in advance
No, you don't need to buy a ticket to go there and access the non-duty free shops in the Mall. But for you to access Duty free section in the Mall, you need to full fill the details shown in the video. Please check later part of the video for the Terms & conditions. Thanks
I'm afraid, you can take the purchase to Sri Lankan territory. Tourist can do purchase any time and collect it at the Colombo Airport on your return. They have a counter at Colombo Airport.
For Sri Lankan passport holders, within 4 days of arrival they can go and purchase and can take home the purchase. Please watch later part of the video, we have a slide to explain this. Thanks

As I know, they don't have one but they have a counter where you can collect your purchase from Port City Duty Free.
