Located in Kajang, Country Heights was the development back then where bungalow lots were sold for buyers to erect their own private mansions. Building your own bungalow was the trend back then before landed strata were introduced to the public. But I guess the trend is kinda different right now.
As for the building, it's a home where the owner stayed for the past 18 years hence I like the practicality of the spatial arrangements. The intention to divide the main building from the entertainment and guest house really made sense. My favourite would be the flow of space from the basement carpark, going into the kitchen, then moving upstairs to the bedroom, followed by the reading room. It just made lots of sense in terms of segregating the private and open space in the mansion.
However, the house were built using technology and materials that were available back then. Window panels were small, round columns were on trend, and timber finishes were heavily used throughout the entire house. So the new buyer will definitely need to replace all those but this step is considered easier compared to building a new house from scratch. With that in mind, this current selling price seems attractive when you're somewhat buying time. You're now renovating an existing building instead of lines on paper.
I will add this to the list of properties I cannot afford 🤭 Awesome review as always Sean
xD
For a family type person, I would love to have landed property, so that children and future grandchildren can enjoy own garden, enjoy the privilege of planting flowers, fruit trees, and a vegetable farm (for self sustainability), and having fun time outside, enjoying chat over tea/coffee, and being close to Mother Nature. Interesting Sean described it as owning a piece of Mother Earth. In other words, become King or Queen of your own land lah. Well said.
Wow, you think soooo far ahead up to grandchildren!! Maybe I should learn to think that way.
Those plate numbers.. for those who are keen on searching.. they will know.. that collection is literally gold.. what a gap.. sad and amazing at the same time..
what do that numbers mean?
@@ForexGell Nothing - just a bunch of rich people trying to buy perceived rarity
In 1988 its price around 18 ringgit per sq ft... Wah making profits.. The price tag is it inclusive all the bikes n golden numnbers.?
I like the idea of basement parking of this bungalow.
I'll tear down the whole property to rebuild again because it is so dated. That will be a 15mil cost including the price of the house. Don't expect this house to be sold within the next 10 years unless neighbors keen.
Owner will have better luck demolish the building and sell as empty land. Buyer of that level, will definitely wants their own design
Well, they can opt to buy raw land directly actually if that's the case. So this is really for those who wants to work with the existing canvas of it.
Thanks for watching Anna=)
Last time when I was working with my ex-company.. we use to have many projects here. I still remember we have one buyer from Hong Kong. He have many businesses in Malaysia.. so he need one bungalow house as home. So my company built up his bungalow house with the price of Rm5 million.. 3 storey house include underground level. Rm5 million is only the price of built up.. not include yet internal fitting like carpentry works, sanitary, electrical appliances, tiles, painting, wiring, curtain & etc.. The house have sauna room, pool table, karaoke room, cinema room & lot of bedrooms. My ex-boss also lives here & he have lift in his bungalow house.
Thanks for another great high end review. Thanks for giving us tips about how to deal with the wear and tear of a property.
Country Heights had a similar project in Jitra, Kedah quite some time back.
There is big then huge then ridiculous size. This is a ridiculously large home. I could never feel comfortable in such a place. Thanks for the video.
Well it depends on the number of family members I guess. Back then, it was almost customary to have everyone to stay under the same roof, especially for the wealthy segment of society.
I guess that trend is also changing now.
Thanks for sharing Gemmel!!
Some renovation and ID will turn this into a great American Classic Mansion. Good buy compared to 4 season service residence. 👍
*cries in minimum wage*
just found this channel. Great!!! will be watching more your videos
Thank you soooooo much Maxera!!
Lesson to learn: never buy big mansion but unable to fill the pool with real water and clear the weeds. And in desperate property downturn, this will be very hard to sell. Ok!
They emptied out the pool for maintenance purposes. And if you really are interested in the house, all those weeds and cleanings can be arranged easily.
Plus the owner just upgraded to another mansion in the exact same address. So most likely this mansion has already been fully paid off. I also learnt that property downturns does not really affect this community of the Top1% of our nation's income bracket.
The gap is real SX. *I seriously need to work harder.
rich people lool
U forget to mentioned... Ugly bungalow.. 😂😅
Keep up your good work doing property review. I especially like your honest feedback.
Thanks for watching Joe!!
Come across this review bcoz i want to know bout this house..despite of its ID, it is quite practical for business man who want to have their own office at home without interupt the owner family, they can have visitors, meetings etc hence the separate building near the pool..and guess house is for extended families who want to visit with own separated entrance door.. so the guess will have their privacy if wanna go out or anything..and the main building actually is not too big..for a family of 20..i guess..haha. so whoever bought this house must have a vision not only see the fisical house..but with some plan and of cause have lotsa money..i have been to the house and the environment is quite good as it is at end road..so not many people lalu lalang at that area except the house and neighbourhood owner..btw, nice review bro..
are they really paying that much for special license plates? wow
Landed & another mansion review! 👍🏻👍🏻
Hope you enjoyed it Alexander!!
First time watching you videos and it's refreshing to see your eye for details.
Oh thank you! Haha=)
Thanks for watching Erika.
The ad should be.. “buy this mansion and you’ll get a free bmw” 😆 Great review Sean 🙌
Hahahhaah!! Plus some carplate numbers as well... hahahaha=)

Aiyo masterbed can do yoga studio dy.btw that stranded beamer n 2 taxi can tender or not
I wonder how many people live in such mansions. Even next door is a 4 story building 😄
I think it's gonna be several families I guess. Not too sure. Maybe I should find out. Great question yusof!
Thanks for watching:)
Please do a video of Moulmein Rise and a video of The Cantonment in Penang.
I will try to do it on my next trip yea Seng Soon:)
Nice review. It's a good idea to review different properties for different market segments. Nice👍🏻
Can an owner sell his/her property when there is a huge unpaid (accumulated) maintenance fees? Any laws/regulations that would be a hindrance for seller in this case? At same time, would the subsale buyer need to be responsible for previous debts owed by ex owner?
Yes the owner can still sell, but the property must be sold in the status of 'free from encumbrances' unless specified otherwise.
Great question Susan!
Lot of work from ground...ooo nombor plate mahal tu tersorok kat sini
Great observation Muszahar!!
Harga macam ni baik buat bunker kecik 3 beds + 3 bath
Wondering how much to spend to fill those spaces? Huhuhu... Probably easily cost more than a million.
I don't think that's enough hahahahahaha=)
Thanks for watching Ken.
Hello Sean, can you explain on the motorbikes? Why is it more expensive than the building?
It's not the bikes, but the number plates on them that cost more than the house:)
first time saw ur vlog.. awesome and great review!! .
Thank you so much Amir!!
Thanks for the video bro.
Hope you liked it Ray!!
I know people bid for special number plates on their first issuance. I didn't know there are people who collect double alphabets and double digits plates with the intention of selling them back for profit.
Someday in the future we can customize own number plates (like those developed countries) then all these “special” plates will be no value
@@xoxowifluvelle but the investment make from this bike probably only just the bike cost. So if he manage to sell those plate with 10x.. The maximum loss is really minimum. That how the riches make money. Because they have excess funds even if the investment failed. It does not matter to them. If it successed, 10x the amount.
This video hit me "you r broke af" very2 hard. Buttttt nice videooo keep on making
Instead we should think "work harder to get this!!" Hahaha.
Thanks for watching Ahmad:)
Good content bro👍🏻👍🏻
Glad you liked it Metalakustika!!
yeah another bungalow review ♥️♥️
Hope you enjoyed it Sitri!!
To live in this big house, how to call a family member? It is so big cannot hear.
Well, I've seen people with walkies back then. I guess now you have the phone=)
No problem to repair if the person could afford this house
If i could afford it, i would like to own the empty plot as well
Thanks for sharing your take Y2K!
you can buy a 2 bedder in downtown Singapore for this price
How do you gain access to this property to tour around?
I worked closely with agents:)
Thanks for watching Jacob!
Tahnk you for this iherng!
Thanks for watching Nafis!!
Nice vlog!
Next... Nearby bungalow by DCA ya.
*Tadao Ando inspired perhaps :)
Oowh really?? Thanks for sharing!!
If the kids play hide and seek, it will take years to be found
Hahahaha. I will just give up looking!!
Thanks for watching yea:)
Country side not for a poor it really for true rich
Hahahaha. Especially this location. Thanks for watching Muszahar=)
This level of wealth equal to?? Menteri? Boss Mcdonald's? Traders?
Apparently the owner is a business man involved with car selling:)
Thanks for watching 😁
I think, it's incredibly cheap really for the quality, size and representative value you get However putting this though to 2021 standards and maintaining tit throughout the years will be a massive p.i.t.a. Not cheap to maintain this at all or it'll fall to pieces one by one very quickly.
cantik👍
For the amount I can buy new plot land and build brand new units. This unit have to add in 300-500k to renovate
I like marble flooring...
I like it too=)
Thanks for watching Maida!!
@@iherng Trued right...
Most Welcome 🙂
Your content is my favorite too in here❤️.
Keadaan nampak luas berlantaikan marble, serta sejuk..
Fuiyohhhh can buy few semi D in a row
Hahahaha. You're absolutely right!!
Video very shaky..dizzy leh...content all good
Noted James. Thanks for watching!!
Just my opinion.if i had a land of this size, i would have a big garden for trees planting, . A home needs a balance between Nature and Living atmosphere. Not just occupied 80 or 90 % of the land with the structure. I would demolish this home and rebuild. No Greenery at all, except the few coconut tree. Shame!!
Those kind of design where they maximize the house size is the hallmark of orang kaya baru (okb). No sense of aesthetic. Every thing must maximize 'value'.
People of such , has no soul, as they never appreciate nature. But $$$$ ..only!!
Just a comparison...RM6.8m aka approx S$2.119m cannot even get you a inter terrace of just land size of not more than 1600sqft in Singapore! Now inter terrace even land alone is more than S$2.5 to S$2.9 that need a complete rebuild.😆😆
Thanks for sharing Keng Lee. Malaysia is so awesome!!
aiyo too much rm rm. wow its seems worth it , still walking there is a work out
Hahaha. Yes, walking around actually took a while=)
Wow near where I live😍
Owh really? That's so cool!!
Thanks for watching Imran=)
Do rich people really stay here or they just use it as a weekend home or holiday home?
The previous owners stayed in this house for the past 18 years. That's why the design layout is practical, just that the materials are aged.
Thanks for watching Farid!!
Asking price 6.8m? + renovation of min 1.5m or could be more. And rich ppl now would prefer super high end luxury condo for safety concerns compared to Super big banglo. Probably just a trend now 😄
This is a bargain actually compared to KK property
Owh seriously???
Thanks for sharing!
@@iherng yea even my 6800 square feet bungalow in KK in a okay location is valued at already 5.5 million but country heights is a exclusive address so it’s considered cheap . In KK a penthouse might cause 8 million upwards
😮
Looks haunted. 👻
My cousin house is there
That must be nice!!
Two toilet bowls in the same cubical!?! Whyyyyy
One is a bidet
This was the bidet design back then. One to release... another for washing... =)
Still vacant ??
I think sold.
Ramai politician ada rumah di situ 😅
Owh really?? Hmmm... Let me go find out!!
I have a land there tu around same size. But planning to sell tho..if ur interested to sell it ..we can meet up and plan haha
I would recommend to contact Ms Joanne (010-2397887) instead. She'll be the best person to help you!
if they sell at 1 mill there will be alot of buyer
The land itself is already worth around RM 4mil airofd hahaha.
Thanks for watching=)
zahid hamidi ada rumah kat sini
Eh benar ke??!
@@iherng yup. try google zahid hamidi country heights. hehe
@@alifudin007 saya rumah dekat zahid hamidi, tak tipu
such a mansion and folks dont seem to be caring much about privacy...bit odd to me
wonder why it's so cheap hope this bungalow isn't one of stigmatized property 💀
Design is so outdated. ID was not a thing back in those days. Just put marble or tiles everywhere, quantity over quality
Yupe. And I'm super glad that we documented this as it really demonstrated the difference in spatial design of different eras.
Thanks for watching TKM!
@@iherng we have come a long way in terms of design since our parents’ generation. The contrast between the newer strata project vs this mansion is really stark. People appreciates ID now and the makeover guys are making it affordable to the masses too
Lets work harder. Hahahahaa
Technically it's poverty that restricted our imagination hahaha=)
@@iherng well said 🤣
Sigh.... Where is Najib when I need him.
You'll need to tear it down and build from ground up.
Thanks for watching Stargate!
Jeez dude use a gimbal. Your video is really headache-inducing.
Erm, I've tried but it slows down my flow of thoughts. And it wouldn't make sense using a gimbal to film myself.
Maybe until I can afford a videographer to help me with filming, I'll still stick to this method unfortunately.
Thanks for watching!!
@@iherng Huh why wouldn't make sense to use a gimbal to film yourself? Dude have you seen gimbals nowadays? Or do you think it's one of those big rigs, body-strapped that professionals use? You can literally hold them single-handedly and they're no larger than those selfie stick/monopods. Try Googling DJI Osmo Mobile if you're using phone, or DJI Ronin if you're using larger cameras.
Really old design
Yea, it was built around 20 years ago=)
so land worth 3 mil. this crap wants an extra 3.8 mil?
Sorry im no support cina 🙌 muslim only
It's surprising to still see these kinda statement in today's context.
Nice banglo and very bigger area
