This is the guy that made me a ducks fan, I still believe he can be great in the NFL he just needs to be given a chance. I was so pissed when San Francisco got him because they didn't need him at all and now he's reportedly on the trade block. Somebody better give this guy a chance because I can't stand seeing him on the bench and barely being used at all.

I feel the same way about all their backs. Lattimore, Hyde, Hunter, and James can't all play at once. maybe they are just trade bait, but it's upsetting to see all that talent go to waste between the 4 of them.

Man I miss watching him play for Oregon. He always gave it everything he had. Couldn't tackle him. Hope he gets his chance to shine in the NFL.

Oregon has had some great RB's including JStew, but none have run with the heart, fight, and determination that LaMichael James has. His leadership and effort on and off the field will be missed. He's the reason Oregon as so good in 2010, despite having a poor offensive line, he's made Oregon's running game lethal.

Looking back at these vids years later, I think it was understated how powerful of a runner he was. Like how was a 5'7" kid getting all these yards after contact

I''ve been a Duck fan since 2006; I can never recall a time that we DIDN'T have at least one fantastic RB. But LaMichael James is definitely my favorite! Ironically Kenyon Barner is my #2. Go Ducks!

@@devonrickcain9717 well you’re certainly right in that the Black Mamba was the truth. But he wasn’t used exclusively as a RB at Oregon. He was a RB/Slot/KR/PR. But DEFINITELY a stud!

The NIners quietly have a pretty loaded O. Gore, LeMichael, Hunter, Davis, Moss, Crabtree, and Manningham.
It seems like he was a lot faster in his first year but got better at geting the yards needed in his last 2 years.
James is a Zone Runner. He'd be perfect in Green Bay, they need a good RB and he can keep wearing Green :)

He has a fearlessness out if the hand off that will he huge. His speed is great, but its tye burst iut of the cut that will set him apart. That can't be taught. Frank Gore will he there to help him make better reads in the open field; a lack of awareness of defenders behind him and field vision will improve will tom rathman and frankie. He could be stellar!
I bet New England is going to pick this guy up. They always get these steals.

Once Lattimore is fully recovered from his injury in 6-12 months i honestly think he will be the one to land that #1 primary RB spot that the great Frank Gore has held for so many years and eventually push him out the door as he is in his 30s now and slightly losing a step, with LaMichael and Kendall splitting the #2/scattback/3rd down RB duties for years to come!!!
Oh and dont forget about James taking over PR/KR duties full time from

What was his total yardage average against SEC teams? Something around 140 if I recall correctly. That's one of the highest the conference allowed. Go ahead and talk, this kid is going to be special
