    Exactly the instructions I was looking for. The builder stuffed my appliances side by side in a closet and I can’t slide them out without disassembly. Thank you!

    Great video! You should do the same with top load washers please. If you can show us step by step what you look for in top load washers when you get them from your scrappers would be great. New to this business and learning a lot from you thanks!

    Anyone else have everything the same except the heating element he mentioned? I have a gas line dryer

    Very important thing he forgot.... the edges on the parts you are taking off are so sharp you can give my exgirlfriend a good shave..... they are so sharp, I was so mad one night when I first started (many years ago), I totaled a dryer (kicked and beat the hell out of it) because I was cut up so bad and urinated off!!! .... but that's a story for a whole other day :)
    Also, lots of times there is hair all around the wheels. Sometimes it takes me 30 minutes to get all the hair off. I also clean the back where the clothes tumble and the inside of the tub if needed. My grandson and I disassemble every dryer 100% like this. I also run my hand carefully around the front seal. Sometimes a nail or screw is lodged in it or even lint.

      Good tips. I always feel like if I give all the tips my videos become way too long. I try to wear gloves but I just can’t stay in the habit I just constantly drop things while I’m working on washers and dryers with gloves on lol.
      A quick way to get the hair from around those shaft is a mini torch. Just be sure there is no lint in the dryer when you do it because lint catches on fire so easily.

    • @lilolme69
      @lilolme69 3 года назад

      @@WasherDryerMoney lmao I don't trust myself with a torch. I use the tool made to scrape off an inspection sticker... it has a blade on the end and works so well for a ton of stuff. I wear a plastic glove on my right hand just because it kept getting so greasy under my thumb nail. I can't work with regular gloves on.... I use my finger tips too much. I actually had to replace a belt on our dryer today so my wife was watching me and she said, "No wonder you cut yourself all the time". lol

    Great instruction. Hey, in a few of your vids you talk about cleaning dryer vents out for customers when you sell a dryer. Do you clean it out all the way up to the roof? For Free? Because I would charge a minimum of $75 or more for that. Or do you just clean out the vent hose?

    • @WasherDryerMoney
      @WasherDryerMoney  3 года назад

      Just the easy vents. If it’s at a apartment or a rental I tell them they will have to call their landlord.

    • @WasherDryerMoney
      @WasherDryerMoney  3 года назад

      You could make a lot of extra money doing vent cleaning. It’s just not something I’ve ever really gotten into.

    • @lilolme69
      @lilolme69 3 года назад

      If it goes up, the roof vent needs to be cleaned.... you can't charge someone for a half way job if you don't get up on the roof and clean the vent up there. Personally, I do not offer this service because I want people to understand how important it is to keep it clean. If I offer this service, they would think I'm trying to upsell. Plus, in the time it takes to clean a vent correctly, I could deliver another set or 2 and make $400-$700 profit without getting on a ladder. Like Gabe, I will clean the ones that go straight out but they are usually not very bad.

    • @ACoustaDC

      @Jonathan T. Brown in my area it's weird The single story homes I've done I have to go on the roof and get the excess out of the stack on the roof. but the two stories have it right on the side of the house and I can almost reach it with my hand but I need a little step ladder.if you have a two-story where events all the way to the roof then I would not attempt that one but that's me personally.
