yeah they are good mates. byrne is from swords, just north of dublin and o’brian is from wicklow, about half an hour south of dublin. so i dont think they grew up together. however they both did best man for each other at their weddings. id say the speeches were hilarious.

People saying Milton isn't funny, I thought he was good, this whole segment was top rate. That's the thing about comedy, its very subjective.

billiesbiggesfan I think especially one-liner comedians are very subjective as well. If you are a story comedian - like Dara, for example - then during an hour long gig, you'll be able to get some ones for everyone in. One-liners can be very hard to get right/funny so if you don't like a couple of lines, it's unlikely you'll like the entire set (if that makes sense).
Milton Jones is actually really funny. Many of his jokes would need to take a second longer to get them. I have seen all mock the week episodes and had to pause for a bit just to think what he meant and when i do get them, they are funny.
@@otacon23 Theyre so unconventionally funny...hugh has some wit and intelligence but the way milton catches you off guard with just insane delivery, persona and the content of the joke (which is usually so absurd it warrants a laugj in itself)
