Cheers mate. That really means a lot, I've been feeling a bit down lately and that was just the pick me up that I really nee...wait. You said Murray. My bad. Oh well, back to the goodbye note...
*this is a great era for British tennis* * this is a great era for Scottish tennis * *im very proud to be the first Scotsman to eat a banana on national television 😂😂
When Murray was on the show after winning Wimbledon, they asked him how many bananas he eats during a game (he replied only one) because bananas are a sudden burst of energy due to their high sugar content, so it was a joke about how tennis players are always seen eating bananas. As for the Scotland/fruits it's because Scotland is famous for deep frying everything, so Frankie Boyle makes jokes about their unhealthy diet because of the stereotype (Scotland was the first country to commercially deep fry a mars bar according to the newspapers).
If Andy had bought some of his tennis mates wouldn't Hugh have been Outnumbered and tennis players are banned from partying because they make too much of a racquet
I dunno about you guys, but I would love it if Mock the Week brought back Between the Lines - I think Hugh still got it in him to make it funny. Oh, and bring back Newsreel too!
I half agree, I do think Australian comedy in general doesn't have as many true geniuses as British comedy does, but we do have some good comedians. What do you think of Shaun Micallef and Working Dog, aka the people behind Frontline, The Castle and The Hollowmen?
Andy Murray...can't quite figure out if he's really like that in real life or if he's being deadpan. Either way, he and Hugh Dennis were a perfect pairing here. 😂
God I love the Scottish & their dry sense of humour. Scots have a natural wit so dry that James Bond. Could add it as an ingredient to one of his martinis.
Im Proud to be the first Brit to win wimbledon in 77 years+Im Scottis, Its s the first time a male Scot has ever won any an international sportng competttion
I wish Andy Murray would stop trying so hard to convince people he has a sense of humour and that he's personable; he's not and he needs to make his peace with it, as do his management.
When you put yourself in the public eye and actively court attention, you are going to get, and should expect, both negative and positive attention. Stop clutching your pearls
Funny how the likes of Novak Djokovic, Rafa Nadal etc who know him extremely well can't speak highly enough of him isn't it. Or that tournament organisers have commented on how polite and courteous he is. But we should definitely take your word for it that he's not personable, because you definitely know what you're talking about.
in fairness he could be the life of the party in his private life but even if he is about as fun as depressed shoe, at the end of the day its for charity
+retnavybrat Wow, thanks for the info. Here's me thinking he was a comedian. The point I was making is that he is not up to the job of an entertainer, so he should stay off these shows, as his attempts at humour are risible. Get it now?

I don’t get the whole banana thing. Frankie boyle makes jokes about Scotland and fruits in general and I don’t get it. Anyone know what it’s about?

Phill O'Donnell thanks man. We Irish are just far enough away to be out of the loop in these things. Or at least I am anyway
@@thekeith1221because we have the worst diet in Europe. Chips are one of our five a day.

Matthew Kwok bring back frankie
I'm not as fussed by newsreel, but definitely bring back between the lines
Matthew Kwok newsreel is often on the special end of season episode
Hugh isn't funny at all
Andrew Garfield has such a great range of acting that for a second I thought it was some tennis bloke.
such a great sport, and I'm sure tennis is cool too
That girlfriend joke was brilliant, don't know why I love videos where people make fun of andy 😂
Thank-you for uploading things in 1080p. :D
I'm an Andy Murray expert and in my expert opinion Andy Murray did ok.
EnigmaAgent But he did OK, expertly.
Andy Murray has been in the audience of the show quite a few times.
"Have you seen my girlfriend"
No
Yh that Hugh Dennis is a great talent!!
Andy Murray should have mastered the deadpan
@@Boschwash24 he only acts like that because journalists try to get dirt on him which he deflects by being intentionally boring
cant beat british humour. i really wish australian comedians would take note and be half as funny as this

Tim Minchin. My personal favourite.

A shame this is edited from the live version, because Andy totally cracked up laughing over the girlfriend line.
LEGEND ANDY MURRAY
gawd i love his voice!!
What a good sport.
Andy Murray: Show the real me behind the public image.
Hugh Dennis: There is no real me.
funny thing, I just saw this promo for the Australian Open, and they made sure to show quick flashes of Andy Murray as well as Kim.

Andy Murray looks like Andrew Garfield

Yes, because every celebrity who's ever taken part in one of these shows is Shakespeare-material.
