Thanks so much for taking the extra time on this, Jack! Looking forward to seeing lots of entries, guys.
Just discovered your channel the other day. So glad I did. I'm looking forward to exploring it much, much further. I like your style.
Hell Yeahhh. Jack's rules 👏👏🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🎼🎼
I love you Jack
Jack... Thanks so much for this brillant lesson. I really enjoy the way you start with simple principles in your lesson, and then you build up on to, until the more "outside" at the end. So nothing is scary and out of context. That really creates confidence for the listener of the lesson, because we are never lost, regardless of the level of difficulty. One thing that I would have like to hear (maybe because it's a resolution my ear is attracted to), is when you exit the bridge (C7, Am7), it would sound cool to highlight the minor third of the Am7 (which is a C) and push it a half-step to C# upon coming back to the E-vamp. The c# is the 6th of the E-scale ; which fits in either your dorian or mixolydian view of the E jam, and crates a tension to resolve to the D after ; hence allowing chromatism. Anyway... Thanks for your great lesson. I love your teaching skills and the way you explain your concepts.
Magical as always!
Amazing playing man, look forward to these Friday lessons every week! Keep up the amazing work.
When jack plays one string and sounds better than I could ever over 6! 😩
Great playing 🎸🤟🏼
As always, great video!!
Jack, thanks a million for this. Hands down THE best lesson I have ever seen on RUclips. Just a brilliant break down of what works, and demonstration of what the different options sound like, laced with nuggets like using arpeggios for outlining changes. And all with fantastic tone, and that stunning Ibanez. I have been the lucky owner of a Suhr Classic for almost 20 years, but my first good guitar was an Ibanez, from 1980, so I have a sentimental thing going on, and the AZ 22 fretters are right up my street ... struggling to find a reason to resist after watching this 😁
Thanks Jack - several real gems in there and very helpfully broken down. Cracking variety with the different takes, each one as effortless as the next.
So clean with those licks dude!
Great great playing Jack!
It is so fantastic to listen to your playin´, even if you only use the pentatonic scale...love it !!
Jack i recently discovered your channel and music and I just want to THANK YOU massively for being a huge inspiration and opening my mind to jazz fusion. Your lesson on intervals got me rethinking my approach to guitar and I feel like I’m making more progress in weeks than I have in years. So thank you, hope you keep the content up!
B string imrpo definitely . WOw man!
Killer lesson Jack! Thank you.
Brilliant vid!
Thanks, awesome tips 😊
Thanks jack
Amazing man❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thank you
Great lesson from Great Teacher... Thank you for the Lesson...
beautiful playing and teaching cheers
Gold lesson! Love ur channel very well explained! Thanks 🙏
Great video dudeee
Excellent vid! Think my favorite was actually the outside take. I’d love to see more lessons talking about outside playing, going over scales like diminished, altered, etc and where/how to use them!
Love the Mixolydian!
The phrasing 🤤
You're such a fucking good guitar player mate. Impressed. Very.
Always love your playing mate. But if you don't mind accepting request from a fan like me, please make a cover of Spain as we know that master Chick already passed away and left us a big legacy. Thank you Jack, I always there waiting your video updates. 🙏
Jack! Is right kidda...brought up off Sleepers Hill
Awesome lesson Jack. All the best from a fellow scouser ;)
Holy sh*t, you’re good 👏 👏 👏
Great lesson as always. Can u please do a video about using pedal notes in solo please? You always use that technique and I am looking for detail explanation for that.
God damn u r good jack
thank you¡¡¡
1. Diminished,
2. Super Locrian,
3. Lydian Dominant
Great job.. It' pretty darn closer to fusion Jazz then blues..
♥️
Amazing playing and concepts as always, Jack.
But, I’ve got to ask, are we going to see an Ibanez endorsement soon? That poor Strandberg must be feeling left out here haha
From JTC Guitar page faceboock i comme to see this .... waw... nice ! Tks ! Best regards from Portugal !
Sold! 😢🙌
Two thing - gosh this is a great demonstration. Thank you... I think I’m gonna study this video quite a bit :-) Second, do you have a “tone” video? Or could you say a basic “here’s how my tone is built” comment or video.... I love how the notes sing... thanks for this, wonderful stuff.
Jack uses Neural DSP plug-ins and he has a bunch of demonstration videos with tones and some presets, so I guess you can check those out ;)
@@PeetaPlays Thanks :-) I found those, and they are awesome. I was kind of wondering if it was specifically the Pilini (or another) - I know most of what I’m hearing is how he plays, but for some reason, this particular tones just sounds so good to me. I’m a tone nut like any one, but this just hit all the right qualities for me...
This was great. Too bad I didnt watch it before I submitted my jam of the month lol. Anyway, you've got a new subscriber! (me)
👍👍👍👍
Man. I've been uploading my progress after picking up Electric in 2018. Coming from Prog drumming nearly 27 years I missed music so bad, I picked up guitar instead of return to drums. Aside from keys which I did tinker with prior. I fell in love with Endless River Floyd. Bought black strat and fever of emotional release happened. I've a long way to go...but id love you to check out my recent atmos bluesish stuff. Peace man.
Hi how are you Jack? It’s been so long since the time that you were doing guitar lessons at my school.
Awesome lesson Jack. What plug-in are you using for this lesson?
Amazing as usual!
But the link for the backing track doesn't work...
Hey Jack, the track link throws a Page Not Found (404) error. Any chance of you updating the link please?
Has anyone transcribed 0:17 - 0:27 ?
Hey Jack, love your content. Pleased to subscribe. You blow me away with your chops and knowledge. The one string exercise was just amazing. I just want to ask you, please speak up or produce your voice clearer. I can hear you better than earlier vids but want to hear you even better. Cheers mate. Tim
This video is like "dropping fat"... Just for using a colorful Italian (super positive) expression 😂
Sometimes I think you ve got 6 fingers,...
Stay alive
This guy thinks he has to it all covered! Not even close! Lol
Eh? 😂 When did I ever say that?
@@JackGardiner I think he is referring to chromatic scale 😅
“This guy” is a better player than you’ll ever be…
@@valebliz Show me your video bro! There’s lots of better guitarist than I am! So why don’t you show me yours! Until that time, we’ll you know hate on someone else PeAce ✌🏻 Oh by the way the next time You will be reported to RUclips for future action! Thanks for your interest.
This time too little feeling in there too much shredding
Every time the Lydian Dominant comes around ... i just think of The Simpsons ,, i cant help it ... sorry
