My camaro has like a line running from center out on the rotor there are 4 of them like it was forged that way. One of them has a divit in it like it fell out?
Does the official fifty model 2017 special edition ss have zl1 rotors? A mechanic is trying to tell me the official fifty model ss has the heavier rotors but chevy never bothered to change the part number on the fifty. Do you know?
I have 2019 SS/1LE 6 piston from calipers and 4 piston on rear Can this rotors fit on my SS/1LE ? I believe the ZL1/1LE have same calipers sizes 6 from and 4 on the rear But have bigger rotors I just want to know if will fit those rotors? On my SS/1LE
One more question here, I am running Ferodo DS1.11 on my 2019 ZL1 1LE, Does Girodisc front brake rotors work great along with the DS1.11? I am considering to replace the oem one once it is worn out.
So what is needed to upgrade to the ZL1? Currently I have a 2017 SS and I would like to have the bigger rotors to fill the wheel well area. I understand it's going to hurt me in terms of unsprung rotating mass but I'm not tracking the car. Is there anything that's special or can I bolt the calipers up and buy the rotors and pads? If I recall correctly, the ZL1 has 15-in rotors whereas the SS has 13 and the SS1LE has the two-piece 14 in. And for whatever reason, the six-pot calipers that are on the SS1LE's say that they cannot accommodate the ZL1 rotors that are 15.4 in
@@knsbrakes608 is it direct bolt on for an SS I can pick up a set of calipers for about $800 for the fronts and correct me if I'm wrong but the rear calipers are the same as the SS. It's only the fronts that change when you go to the SS1LE and then to the ZL1 has a slightly bigger caliper to accommodate the larger rotor?
@@knsbrakes608 ok sounds good. Can you buy zl1 rotors for the stock SS the calipers look the same, or do I need ZL1 rear calipers as well? Thanks for the replies guys

Are these better than the 8 pot brake kits? I found a good price of the D2 kit..
For track use I would not change the OEM Brembo's for D2 brand brakes.

They will but you will need the correct size pad to work with the Girodisc conversion
Is it possible to upgrade an SS/1LE to ZL1/1LE spec using just a rotor, pad, and caliper bracket? Or would it need to change the caliper as well?
You will need the ZL1 calipers
SS 1LE has these rotors I believe
Here is the part number for the whole GM assembly: 84236462. This has the 14.6-inch rotor, and six piston caliper.
So what is needed to upgrade to the ZL1?

You would need ZL1 calipers, rotors and pads. It's a system and so you need all of it.
