In turkish we have a saying "your soul is a soul but ours is an eggplant?" In 90s, 1million Azerbaijani Turk became a refugee after Karabakh occupation by Armenia . They didn't even give them a time to pack their belongings!!! According to UN, 20% of Azerbaijan lands were occupied for 30 years. But at the end of the movie the lady gave important comments " they died in vain, if they are going to give the lands, why we fought" I can only say two things, I don't think they died in vain, this is war, one part win, the other one loses. They lost the war. Second, they thought they would win but problem is instead of themselves, they trusted foreigners and diaspora (to me another version of foreigner). Currently the diaspora is whining and keep repeating " international community didn't help us..bla bla". Here is quote from Kemal Ataturk said "during" Turkish liberation war in 1922 (not after! "during", so they didn't know if they will win the war or not). In the assembly other representatives said we must get help from big countries, listen to them ..etc and this was his response: ‘Which independence is there that can rise with the advice and plans of foreigners? History has not recorded such an event " If they keep this attitude, they will be betrayed again again again and again. no surprise.
They have showed perspectives from Azerbaijan. They released mini documentaries on the bombing of Ganja as well as perspectives of Azerbaijanis returning home to the reclaimed lands. Journalism is showing both sides of a conflict, and they have been doing that.

Armenians have lived in the region for thousands of years, and Stalin signed over this region to Azerbaijan to expand the Soviet Union. Armenians wanted to be independent, and Azerbaijan didn’t allow this so they responded with pogroms. The only reason this region is azerbaijani is because of stalin. Armenia is protecting its people and land because Azerbaijan does not want to let this region go. That’s why Armenian soldiers are there, so that the azeris don’t kill the villagers there.

These resolutions are non-binding and have no legal weight in any court of law. They were issued under the UN Charter, Chapter VI. When an you start to claim these UN recommendations are the reason why Armenians are considered occupiers, read Chapter VI. Also pre-1915 internationally recognized borders of Armenia includes lands all the way to the Caspian, just below Baku. And the control of those lands to Azerbaijan were done so by Stalin, who was not internationally recognized, so that transfer of control was done illegally and is null and void when we are talking about internationally recognized.

NKAO was an administrative unit (oblast’) within Azerbaijan SSR which has no such a right to choose staying or leaving a country which it belongs to.
