- Watch along as Ray and Emilie Reid @EmmieOnTheRoad continue their epic road trip-- this time stopping at Choke Canyon State Park in Texas. We loved this spot and spent a few days here photographing the variety of birds. The location was incredibly beautiful and we did our best to capture a variety of birds while there. This is part five of a new series-- Emilie & Ray's Photo Adventures! Check back in for more of our travels, part two of our visit to Choke Canyon is next.
Gotta love road trip adventures!! ❤
Always a good time, thanks for watching and commenting!
Looked like it was a fun trip for both of you, got some lifers too thanks for sharing.
It sure was and we had a blast, thanks for watching!
I love how common caracaras are in East Texas. I used to see them at times in Central Florida growing up, but they are just super common in Texas. Also, I was wondering if y'all saw any White-tailed Hawks in that part of Texas. That's a cool one for the region.
Hey James, thanks for watching. I did have a White-tailed Kite, but we didn't see the hawk.
Come on out to San Diego, lots of birds, ocean, shore, lakes, mountains, desert, all in a couple hours drive.
Photographed my first Loggerhead Shirke and Ferruginous Hawk yesterday.
Sounds like a fun spot, glad you are getting to enjoy it!
That looked like such an awesome location to use a float hide or float pad. Another great video guys keep them coming
Except for gators lol. Thanks Brad
Ah, man you're making me miss the "South" the Rio Grand Valley is such a special place. So incredible. I've spent lots of time down there. I hope you made it to Goose Island, Leonabelle, and Estero Llano!
Thanks for watching and we only went to Choke Canyon, then hit Bolivar flats on our way back east.
New to your channel like your video
Thanks so much!
What lens are you using?
I think we are using a few lenses, 400 f/2.8 TC, 100-400, maybe 70-200, I don't entirely recall but those were probably in the mix.
You might let people know that there is no canyon at Choke Canyon SP.
Hey this is only a few hours away from me haha
Oh damn, wish I knew that before hand, would have been great to meet up!
