  • Watch along as Ray and Emilie Reid ‪@EmmieOnTheRoad‬ continue their epic road trip-- this time stopping at Choke Canyon State Park in Texas. We loved this spot and spent a few days here photographing the variety of birds. The location was incredibly beautiful and we did our best to capture a variety of birds while there. This is part five of a new series-- Emilie & Ray's Photo Adventures! Check back in for more of our travels, part two of our visit to Choke Canyon is next.

I love how common caracaras are in East Texas. I used to see them at times in Central Florida growing up, but they are just super common in Texas. Also, I was wondering if y'all saw any White-tailed Hawks in that part of Texas. That's a cool one for the region.

Hey James, thanks for watching. I did have a White-tailed Kite, but we didn't see the hawk.

Come on out to San Diego, lots of birds, ocean, shore, lakes, mountains, desert, all in a couple hours drive.
Photographed my first Loggerhead Shirke and Ferruginous Hawk yesterday.

I think we are using a few lenses, 400 f/2.8 TC, 100-400, maybe 70-200, I don't entirely recall but those were probably in the mix.
