- Hi Guys ➳
I rececently hit 3 years in the Marine Corps and I wanted to share some of my thoughts with you. The military lifestyle is very strict and I just want you to consider these things before you sign your contract.

I only have a couple more years of high school and im enlisting in the marines.
Kayla, Find a skill, language, training that would further your career. For example a pvt. pilots license. Learn to speak French with online classes. That way you MIGHT get the job & location you want.- Best
So am I
you deserve more subscribers because female Marines on RUclips like you have been super helpful in my decision making process & i'm sure for a lot of others too
Rebbb Thank you!! I really appreciate the support. Goodluck to you in whatever decision you may take ☺️
I have been out of the Corps for over 20 years and sounds like same. Pretty basic info and great info for future Marines that come in. I am from Jersey and last duty station was here in Pendleton. Been living in San Marcos since 2000.
How is your life nowadays after the marines?
Getting up early and working late is common in the civilian world as well. Listening and following directions from someone you dont care for, also common in the civilian world. Doing drugs.... yup will get you in a lot of trouble in the civilian world.
A lot of the changes young marines experience are not caused by being in the military but from being thrust from childhood to the adult world. The difference is you are forced to learn these skills quickly.
Thank you for the intel in your videos & thank you for your service 🙏🏽 I’m enlisting this weekend at Meps in Springfield, I’m from Mass too. Just like my recruiter in Worcester told me, he can tell no matter what he tells me good or bad I’m going to do this no matter what😂 & like it for what it is 💪🏽
Zavier Ortiz as long as you stay committed the whole time youll do great!
Yarieliz Cortez of course 💪🏽 quick question.. would you recommend having a relationship while serving ?
I am joining in about 5 years and I am starting to train right now.
Same I am joining 3 years so Am getting ready right now.
Good job for keeping it real I was in the Marine corps for 13 years I was at MCRD I was in the Persian Gulf desert Storm warn I was military police but I was a sign to a tank regiment and in the Marine corps you probably already know and they're short and something you're going to learn how to do that what they're short in so I helped out with the tanks a little bit I got let go from the Marine corps because of medical I got into a predicament where I got injured any Rock and my leg got pretty mangled so I had to get out but yeah everything you say is on point congratulations on everything you doing keep your head straight don't worry when they yell at you they're just doing their job it just makes you stronger and just look at that when you get older and you already out of the Marine corps you can tell your grandkids and kids about everything of course a lot of people that asked me about the Marine corps I just tell him that ask people that are in now keep up good work simplify once a marine always a Marine
Me watching divergent got me here
Great video I ship out June 29th thanks for the information 💯
From an old old old devil dog (1967 / 71 - RSVN 68) you go BAM. That was said with utmost respect . Daughter wanted to follow in my footsteps NFW would I allow that - she was a college cheerleader who could have done modeling. Now ? Maybe.
Military life in whole is challenging I'm also in the military of my country
I’m leaving in June on the 22nd lookin forward to it
Kamar Skeete when did you first speak with your recruiter? Mine said I won’t be leaving till October.
lex S it’s because of the mos you pick they give you a usual ship off date which mine was August but they gave me a list of mos one left in February one left in May and one left in June and i think one left in September so i picked the one that would fit because my mom was supposed to graduate in May so i chose June it all depends on your mos you picked
Kamar Skeete gotcha! I haven picked a MOS. I don’t know what to choose
lex S it depends on what your score is on the picat or the asvab
Kamar Skeete are you in the DEP?
“Laffy taffy ankles”😂
Not yo ankles being laughfy tafys 😂😂😂😂
I’m a senior right now and I want to talk to a recruiter but I don’t know how To get started, btw I subbed.
Go to the marines website and they can help you find one!
Go to the website and somewhere in the website it will ask if you want to contact a recruiter and just go there and ask all you want to know and also set up a appointment when you can go in to the recruiting office.
Call the recuiter in or near your town. And get on with it.
Literally go to school and you should meet one. If not, you probably either live in ghettoslumtown or richyrichcommunity. In that case, go to a recruiter station, trust me, the military WANTS you, after all.
Hope your exams go well ,best of luck
What was your recruiter experience?
Great video💯
Dang she is pretty
You’re not living in the barracks now?
No, when you’re married you don’t live in the barracks. And I’m not in the marines anymore either
Bootcamp is in August.
I leave for bootcamp in 14 days 😮💨😮💨😮💨
Jonathan
Que hermosisima😘😍⭐😘❤
Also can you get tattoos in the marines??
Kayla Reshaw Yes, theres just certain rules that come with it.
@@YarielizOrtiz oh ok thank you.
I've also been told it's better to not get any before bootcamp but if you already have one you _might_ get a waiver
Rebbb its just easier for you to not have any coming it but yes you can get waivers
@@YarielizOrtiz did you have your tattoos before you went to bootcamp?
🦚
I’m 26 would it be crazy to join now?
From my experiences in the Marines, if you're older than 21, the USMC isn't worth it. Highly consider going into the other services as they will set you up better for civilian life after you're done with your service. Also, they'll most likely treat you better in the other services than the Marines will.
@@KiLLED5639 i noticed that the usmc is more of a teenager's branch than an adult branch. It doesn't have much opportunity in it compared to other branches.
HI FRIEND
Hi.
Hey i don’t want to join the marines because of how bad I hear the leadership is
But salute to you I joined the army
It honestly depends. Ive had both good and not so good leadership.
It doesn't matter if it is in the Military or the Civilian workplace. Bad leadership will continue be around somewhere. It is up to you to learn and pick up what makes a bad leader and try to mold yourself to become a better leader for the future. Lack of training and experience will result in bad leadership.
Why are they so…. Perfect? Id be afraid to talk to u in person out of fear of where my eyes might keep landing 🤦♂️
LMAO SOMEBODY MARRIED HER LOL ... WHOEVER HE IS , IT'S A LAME
When I was in the Corps, there were no fatties. Every female Marine I see doing a RUclips video is a bloated cow. What happened to my corps ?
Our beloved corps is doing just fine without you. Thank you for your service now take your negativity, stick where the sun don’t shine and keep it moving. Don’t discredit the constant hours of dedication this marine has put into bettering herself and the corps.
I was in the Marines back in the late 80s and their were plenty of overweight alcoholics back then. It was kind of embarrassing actually. This lady is willing to die for her country so give her a break. There is nothing wrong with her.
How rude and disrespectful. Pay no mind to that & God bless you & your hubby always.
