  • Hi Guys ➳
    I rececently hit 3 years in the Marine Corps and I wanted to share some of my thoughts with you. The military lifestyle is very strict and I just want you to consider these things before you sign your contract.

      Kayla, Find a skill, language, training that would further your career. For example a pvt. pilots license. Learn to speak French with online classes. That way you MIGHT get the job & location you want.- Best

    I have been out of the Corps for over 20 years and sounds like same. Pretty basic info and great info for future Marines that come in. I am from Jersey and last duty station was here in Pendleton. Been living in San Marcos since 2000.

      How is your life nowadays after the marines?

  • @TheTruthman89

    Getting up early and working late is common in the civilian world as well. Listening and following directions from someone you dont care for, also common in the civilian world. Doing drugs.... yup will get you in a lot of trouble in the civilian world.
    A lot of the changes young marines experience are not caused by being in the military but from being thrust from childhood to the adult world. The difference is you are forced to learn these skills quickly.

    Good job for keeping it real I was in the Marine corps for 13 years I was at MCRD I was in the Persian Gulf desert Storm warn I was military police but I was a sign to a tank regiment and in the Marine corps you probably already know and they're short and something you're going to learn how to do that what they're short in so I helped out with the tanks a little bit I got let go from the Marine corps because of medical I got into a predicament where I got injured any Rock and my leg got pretty mangled so I had to get out but yeah everything you say is on point congratulations on everything you doing keep your head straight don't worry when they yell at you they're just doing their job it just makes you stronger and just look at that when you get older and you already out of the Marine corps you can tell your grandkids and kids about everything of course a lot of people that asked me about the Marine corps I just tell him that ask people that are in now keep up good work simplify once a marine always a Marine

      From my experiences in the Marines, if you're older than 21, the USMC isn't worth it. Highly consider going into the other services as they will set you up better for civilian life after you're done with your service. Also, they'll most likely treat you better in the other services than the Marines will.

    • @homiesenatep
      @homiesenatep 2 года назад

      @@KiLLED5639 i noticed that the usmc is more of a teenager's branch than an adult branch. It doesn't have much opportunity in it compared to other branches.

      It doesn't matter if it is in the Military or the Civilian workplace. Bad leadership will continue be around somewhere. It is up to you to learn and pick up what makes a bad leader and try to mold yourself to become a better leader for the future. Lack of training and experience will result in bad leadership.
