The explosive bunny deals more damage than a single dynamite because on the sprite, if you look closely, there are actually 4 sticks of dynamite. 2 on the left, 2 on the right.
Dynamite needs to be in the bunny to use guts as shrapnel, but we can clearly see the dynamite is only on the outside. And also if dynamite was in the bunny, the bones would make a much better shrapnel because you can’t harm anyone with guts
I think the reason bouncy grenades do a bit more damage is because they're more difficult to come by. Pinkies are a pretty uncommon find even on the best of days.
