And the gear is still working great! Just an unbelievable design Damon. Planning on replacing the G-110 motor with a Turnigy 6364-245 kv on 8s instead of the 6s the G-110 ran on. I think the power will be perfect then.
Thanks for the information, this helped my inspiration a lot. I'm struggling to find a motor with the threaded shaft, this would be ideal for my application. Can you buy motors with the thread attached or did you make it? Can you point me in the right direction? The only ones I have found have gears to slow it down and create more torque, is that what you normally do? Thanks again.

The motor I am using is a geared 300rpm motor. I got it on ebay. I make couplers and then add allen set-screws. I hope this helps! Rock ON!
