@lowgunkai i only comment because he is one of my favourite surfers his power is unmatched in the history of the sport. he could still be at or near the top if he had just evolved his surfing to meet the developing style in the industry. then we would still get the pleasure of watching him surf. Always innovate !
Occy surf's with his legs too close together, too much weight on the back foot and too close to the tail of his board... Thats why he cant get the moves happening. I know, i used to surf like that! It feels stylish and fast, but if u widen your stance put more weight on the front foot ( like Slater) you can build speed and are more nimble in general , plus you can begin to slide the tail through turns ( If you don't believe me just watch Slater vids or better... TRY IT!)
@SquidgyMcGee his moves aren't radical anymore cuz he's part of the foundation of modern surfing. when he came out no one could believe what the hell he was doing. he doesnt need to bust his tail loose or spin or even pop airs because he buries his rail so deep that every turn sends a fat wave of spray flying. the projection he gets out of his turns, especially his backside bottom turn, is completely ridiculous. try surfing rail to rail. its not easy. power surfing ftw
