I've been coming back to this every other month for the last 10 years... one of my favorite metric songs, It just makes me feel like everything is okay.
no matter how much my music taste changes... Metric will always be playing on my iPod I was so bummed I missed them at Coachella, and I can't wait for their fourth album to come out and they tour again :D
This song *needs* to be on a future album, be it an LP or EP. Emily's vocals in this performance enchanted me & won me over yet again. Definitely one of my favourite Metric songs & it truly needs to be heard by more people. Pure love
Yeah I went to them in Edmonton for Jingle Bell Rock, and I'm sad to say that I was one of the people who didn't know their new songs.. but it did make me go on youtube so I could hear them all and now I know them all off-by-heart! So really, the concert definitely did what it was supposed to.. promote their new material.
any word that this is actually going to be released, I know Emily commented about how she got mixed reactions from audiences when playing this. Love the SONG!!! One of my Favs!!!
just think... if we lived in a world full of intelligent people with good taste, metric would be the biggest band in the world and no one would care who britney was.
Well, tell yah what, I cant stand punk rock but this isnt really punk....its like a mix between Daft Punk and something unique, like Cold Play...not too sure what i think yet, but theyre definately genious. Way to go Metric well done. Doing a good thing for the Music Industry.
Well, they joked about all being on mushrooms during the set. I'm too lazy to check their pupils, heh. I think tipsy isn't quite the word I'd use to describe it...search for Empty (Be the Riott) and read the comments section. Boo, Emily.
@bukketb0t : just saying my piece. I looked at the comments on your web site. Seems like you're quite the work. I guess for some people, negative responses are better than no responses.
That's not the Jonas Brothers at all. You need to get your faces and facts straight before dissing other people and telling them to think before they think.
well, this vaguely resembles 'under my tongue' by the rolling stones so i'll say they sort of sound like them.... except, metric's more indie! repetitive beats, frequently whispered raspy vocals, etc. i love them though of course.
I keep coming back here ever couple years

Just incredible. New touring in December, and the new release out in early 2009. How will I make it that long?
i love it, wish it made "fantasies"
Amazing crowd haha -_-
The fact that you're familiar with "the sound??" of Disney's answer to "The Partridge Family" says alot about you? It bewilders me...
I hope so. I'm quite surprised to see all these new songs !! :O
I second that statement!
release this song, pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaz!!!
they sound so good live
Her voice reminds me of the guy who sings in Motion City Soundtrack (I don't know his name as I haven't yet memorised wikipedia).
It's cool I like it.
yeah dawg
this band is a good example that Canadians can kick ass too
Yeahhhh dawgg
just think... if we lived in a world full of intelligent people with good taste, metric would be the biggest band in the world and no one would care who britney was.

Expert backbenchers? Classic.

great video, decent song
Well, they joked about all being on mushrooms during the set. I'm too lazy to check their pupils, heh.
I think tipsy isn't quite the word I'd use to describe it...search for Empty (Be the Riott) and read the comments section. Boo, Emily.
agreed
is it just me, or does the chick singing have a really strong Joisey accent?
@bukketb0t : just saying my piece. I looked at the comments on your web site. Seems like you're quite the work. I guess for some people, negative responses are better than no responses.
@maimiaa THIS.
she makes me cwy.
i think she said yeah dawg haha
Like her voice, (brandable) and she 's hot and just quirky enough. Like to hear another guitar but the band's pretty good; hated the audience.
Comment for traction.
haha i though it was gonna be roxette :D
What the? No Joyride on Fantasies? Joyride=fun/. sad. sad.
I'm thinking they won it via a contest, but blerg, I don't know. What an incredible opportunity, wasted.
Yea, and not wanting to know anything...trying to hide from the truth?
I am unsure which of her musical projects qualifies as anything remotely resembling folk.
Britney who?
Hmm.... maybe it's her vocal range?
the audience is wayyyyy to jumpy.
Daft Punk, say what?
who gives a fuck about the audience. I can't keep my eyes off of her
That's not the Jonas Brothers at all. You need to get your faces and facts straight before dissing other people and telling them to think before they think.
This song could easily be about the Trump election.
wow
... really?
smd honey
mediocre band pillages the 80s. story of the 2000s.
Repetitive and annoying keyboards
well, this vaguely resembles 'under my tongue' by the rolling stones so i'll say they sort of sound like them.... except, metric's more indie! repetitive beats, frequently whispered raspy vocals, etc. i love them though of course.
yes. .... i'm obviously not as familiar with them as i should be. :-/
thanks for the correction.
