- Hi everyone.
I have a lot of projects waiting for me to find some inspiration and motivation to continue them, so here is something I did before summer.
Otago, Oberth and Centaur from the game Star Trek Online.
Space Dock, additional ship modeling and sequence by TU.
Programs used: Blender 3D, Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop.
Hope you enjoy! Кино
I am here to triumphantly cheer on every last bit of this fanmade trek. We have entered a new golden age of fan made creations and I AM HERE FOR IT. Thank you.
Love to see the TOS-era NX-refit getting some love!
Is it TMP-era?
Yeah it's TMP
@@maybetoby More likely the TOS era.
I think this is the ship from Star Trek Beyond, not the bigger NX class
@@Forge17 I see it now. I believe you are correct.
Slow, graceful, with purpose. Great use of depth of field, lighting, etc. Top Marks!
Artist like you keep the real Star Trek alive. 😊
Loving the warp effect and the anime-esque "starburst" at the end :)
Beautifully done, once more.
Nice use of DOF, camera tracking, and smooth path-based animation. And THANK YOU for showing your space elements actually orbiting the planet!
Wow, I love it! Especially the shifting out of focus sequence and the warp effect at the end!
She's a real beauty! Love how much NX DNA is carried over to this class.
Okay! That warp effect was badass! Good job man!
Haha, I liked the Anime warp effect at the end. 👍
Beautiful ship, and great video..
This is how Star Trek should look. New subscriber here. Thankyou.
I like this, i like it very much, great work and look forward to seeing more 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
WOW! That bokeh effect especially. This is magical.
Fantastic namesake for my home province.
This is incredible. Well done.
such a beast ship
Nicely done. Now she needs a crew
This is how the new Trek shows should look like! not that awful cgi they have. outstanding job!!🖖🏼
Now this is Art, thanks for sharing
Columbia-Class, Nice!
Also beautifully rendered, I even liked the undocking sequence. and even the other blurred Centaur-Class starship in the back at 0:40
as always....perfect
I am so glad I found you. I'm blown away by the world of Blender I only discovered it recently because I live under a rock. Your art is beautiful.
Gorgeous!
Beautiful!
Keep up the excellent work!
Astonishing quality!!! Bravoo
@@EnterprisezJ thank you my friend! ❤️
Absolutely beautiful. The design, the graphics, everything. Love to see the NX refit in action.
I’ve got Faith.
Most impressive
Love your work.
NICE, VERY NICE WORK
ohhh i like that warp drive flare effect
You can almost hear an anime style “ching!”
great work. very well done
She's a fine looking ship.
Awesome!👍🏻🖖🏻
Very freakin' cool
cool post/work 👍👍👍👍
Hey it's the Franklin from Beyond.
absolutely gorgeous!
I can imagine this being a legacy ship designed circa 2280's incorporating reused saucer sections from decommissioned constitution class ships and a new star drive section inspired by the NX class. Little note of Trivia, from the excelsior class onwards space frames were designed to last a century and be highly modular which is why the excelsior class is the most successful class of the fleet. Most people think the Miranda class is the work horse of the federation but according to official stats star fleet built circa 100 more excelsior class vessels than Miranda's.
🖖Wonderful.
Looks so good every moment was perfect. Paramount quality VFX love it was the ship model yours if so best I have seen in a long time.
It’s a start trek online ship model though this one has adjusted not to have a secondary hull unlike the one in game.
@@EthanPorter-oy2vk thank you! The original model without modifications is from Star Trek Online.
@@TU-CGI thanks for letting me know looks so good can’t wait to see more.
Beautiful work!
Well done!
I really like this model. Almost like like a TMP style Akira Class and NX Class from Enterprise
This looks better than 5 years of Discovery special effects and evokes far more emotion.
Also you might hate me for this but I think this ship would look really good with the Kelvin style warp engines.
No hate here. I enjoy the Kelvin -timeline movies and aesthetics. in addition to the classic ones. :D
That was pretty
nice work !
I love it! A very inspiring work of art! 🖖
Beautiful! I write a Trek fanfic series set in this era and this kind of visual treat helps fuel my creativity. Thank you!
Amazing!!!
Very cool
Lovely!
Nice shop
Awesome!
Beautiful
Wonderful starfleet networks, keep it up🌌
Needs the Archer Theme to play. If its an NX homage, it definitely needs the Archer theme.
cool!
This is how it is done!
It's the one ship skin I wanted in Star Trek Online, but could never afford.
"hull"-less Columbia is a great look, and with the red impulse too looks fantastic. wish we had those options in game
...honestly, yeah, it looks brilliant without the secondary hull.
That was a lovely bit of animation, well done. Quick pointer, though, no real Captain or Master would willingly approach an obvious navigation hazard just for funsies. The Board of Inquiry into the loss of your ship would certainly not find that amusing.
Lembra uma nave da classe NX 🤔 Só que atualizada....👍
Vida longa e próspera para todos nós 🖖🖖🖖
Looks very good, but i miss the "main"-deflector. ;)
Excellent video. My only complaint is that you didn't use the NX-Refit design.
Woah nicely done man! That final shot of the Otago jumping into warp is stunning, I'd like to know how you managed to create the nebula in the background of the shot if you don't mind?
@@CJayI Just a stock-picture with the opacity toned down. :)
looks beautiful. I only have one pedantic criticism. You have atmospheric haze in a place where there is no atmosphere.
Awesome work, again, my mate. I enjoy your videos very much and draw inspiration from them. Also the warp effect perfectly fits to the TMP/Excelsior style NX variant. It's from Star Trek Online if I'm not mistaken?
Columbia-Class, although it’s missing the secondary hull it’d normally come with? Possibly that’s an alternative variant of the Columbia-Class?
@@Kreachie yeah that's the one
Astonishing!
What's the track's title?
Hey, mate what was the inspiration for the name? We have a region in New Zealand called Otago. Are you a Kiwi? 😊 beautiful starship.
So it's the Columbia class without the secondary hull? Didn't know that was a ship in STO lol
Is this a TMP NX refit? Amazing!!!!
It’s a Columbia-Class starship from STO, although she’s built without the lower module, still this is rendered beautifully.
When you say "from the game Star Trek Online" does this mean the ship model was imported from STO and able to be used in Blender? If so, I'm incredibly curious to find out how to do this.
I'm sorry, Otago? Like the Region in New Zealand?
I would pay you a lot of money to teach me how to do this....
'Otago'??? Is it named after the New Zealand South Island Province of Otago????
Are you a Kiwi? Otago is a region in New Zealand.
@@JamieSteam nope from Finland. I had no idea, got to go and Google the sights there. :)
What’s the Voulme M3
Please make a step by step tutorial explaining your making this video?
What’s the music tho??
Beautifully rendered, but there’s one major flaw. Your foreground ships that zip past the camera are out of focus as is the planet surface. For such a wide angle the background and foreground elements would be in focus. A real camera would not be able to have this amount of depth of field in such a shot. May I make a suggestion. Re-render with the background and foreground ships in focus. And the warp trail is unconvincing.
@@Gecco3d Thanks for the feedback!! I have no time to do rerenderings so this will stay as is.
@@TU-CGIsomething for you to think about next when you compose a new shot.
This is beautiful. You should add some drift to the ship when it set off from the station, maybe even some impulse drive power up or something to make it look more organic. This is a great video, i wish we could just have a good Star Trek show about a young crew living their lives in a well written story about exploration and guided by good solid morality. Sadly most people today have sugar brain and are so woke that they are more confused then the audience.
WRONG STAR BASE FOR THAT TIME PERIOD
too bright warp nacelles core, poor warp jump
That statement is just unnecessarily impolite and merely based on your poor opinion.
@@manicpanda8741 where you trying to convay the TOS movie jump to warp effect?
Ok well that can be modified too. The rest of it was glorious.
Gorgeous!
Amazing!
