What is summit night like on Kilimanjaro 5000m above sea level

When one is planning a Kilimanjaro expedition, one of the things they may wonder about is what is the summit night like. In here you will fine a snapshot from 5000m above sea level. You hopefully will not be surprised to see that the ascent to the top takes place during night. I have chosen to go up the Kilimanjaro via Rongai Route and together with my guide and porter we started the summit night ascent exactly at midnight from Kibo Hut Camp at 4720m above sea level. We were very lucky to have a great weather with not even one cloud up the sky being able to admire the stars and the moon.
