Thanks George, and sure I will have a look at your channel. I went up Snowdon again last month but this time did it via the Parson's Nose Arete - was awesome. Bit scary at times as it was raining... If you liked this video and like also some alpinizm then please have a look at my video from Mt Blanc due Tacul - I am really proud of this one :-) Staying at home at present with a knee injury but hope to get back there soon. +Charles Bristol Hi. Yes, this is the normal route - part of so called the 3M route.

+Anna Stachowiak I had also missed the steep part after 9.00 in the film. That looks very steep indeed. This mountain must have changed. I have seen videos from a few years ago and there did not seem to be anywhere this steep on the normal route. The part from 10.00 onwards looks quite dangerous - it appears nearly vertical in the film, or is this partly due to the position of the camera? I did speak to a local mountain guide (Frank Chapon of Chamonix Sport Adventure) last year and he did tell me that the mountain had become more steep in parts. I was planning to paraglide from the top of here but I am not confident that I could do these steep parts.

+Charles Bristol It was my first time on Tacul so I can not say if it became steeper or not. Overall I feel it is a steep mountain but I have to say in some parts of the film the angle looks definitely steeper due to the angle of camera fixed to my helmet and position of my head in the action - you can appreciate I was very limited in controling it during the climb - simply trying to survive haha ;-) However look at the scene at 5.43 - shows you the angle very well - we actually had to use ice screws traversing this part of the mountain as it was very icy and dangerous. I would say that the part from 9.10 was for sure steeper. The one at 9.56 - definitely angle of the camera/my head affecting reality - look at 10.18 which is the real angle. Was it 'the normal route'? It should be but take into account that we were the first group who attempted the summit after 2 days of poor weather conditions and fresh snow fall - we had to find our own way up traversing around all the crevasse as you could not fallow any previous 'footsteps'. I hope this helps. I wish you all the look should you decide to paraglide from the Tacul - would be something! Please let me know what you decide to do and if you go for it make sure you have a camera with you too ;-) Regards

+Anna Stachowiak Just to add - thinking about paragliding - the only plateau I can remember not too far from the Tacul's summit was the one at 5.19.
