    So, lubricate first, 400 grit light pressure on one side/edge of spinny thing Speed 1, 800 grit, 1500 grit, lubricate again, 3000 grit then more lubricant then 5000 grit, then a dry 5000 grit on speed 2 (Ryobi). Looks like 225mm diameter?

    Could you please tell me where you purchased the 3 and 5K grit sandpaper? I could only find 3K in sheets. Thank you

      I just ordered 30 pack of 10000 grit orbital sander paper. They have it on amazon

    You've wasted more paper towels than the work you did - seemed like a paper towel commercial.

    Mirror finish should be coming a long time before 5000 grit, it should be noticeably mirror like at 2000 so maybe you should use lubricant and won't need to go as high.
