Nice video! I'm thinking about putting some switches into my car, too. But I'd use them for other functions like an antenna switch (so the stupid antenna won't raise every time I turn on the radio to listen to MP3s...).

On a double pole, double throw switch you have six connector points. Two in the middle are power and ground. The top two and bottom two are crossed together. There reason for this is for up on the window, positive is on one side of the motor and negative on the other. To go down, it's reversed. The switch handles reversing the polarity for you.

Switches on the console are fun...I plan to add more related to the megasquirt, like for fuel table switching and boost level.
