    Still love this video!!!!! Just ordered an SD S465 swap kit with SD manifold. Can't wait to get installed

    How's your mpgs driving empty and towing? I've got a deleted '12 truck, but I think the vgt turbo is going. Thinking on getting a 2nd gen kit, but going stock fuel. I don't need big power, as I daily drive and tow sometimes mostly highway.

    • @CORNYOTE

      Brian Lunt i can get mid 20’s but the way I drive it, it’s usually around 15 😂

    You have an S&B intake listed now is that a CAI or the intake horn going into the manifold?

    • @CORNYOTE
      @CORNYOTE  7 лет назад

      TheTLassiter if you check my other vid you'll see it's the tube and filter to the turbo. Not really a cold air intake but it definitely flows a ton of air.

    I have an 09 that I 2nd gen swapped over a year ago and loving it so far. Only difference is that I have I have a stock 68rfe that I’m reallllly thinking about replacing with the G56. Is the G56 still holding up strong? Read mixed reviews on it

    KawieRider when you did this swap did it keep the EGR delete that you originally had or did you get to remove that? I already have an aftermarket boost horn from HS and boost sensor in it but wondering about the EGR crap on the pass side. I started pulling mine apart this week in prep for the kit to be here Monday when I have the full day off work.

    • @CORNYOTE
      @CORNYOTE  6 лет назад

      Big T sorry just saw this. Yes you retain the EGR delete if you have one. The swap will not work without an EGR cooler delete. My 2nd gen setup was not a kit so not sure what they come with

    • @tonyturner779
      @tonyturner779 6 лет назад

      KawieRider thanks, mine was a kit so I only had to keep the egr block off plate, what kind of boost are you seeing with your s464?

    • @CORNYOTE
      @CORNYOTE  6 лет назад

      Not sure on the boost. It maxes the factory sensor at 38lbs, but I suspect I’m closer to 45-50lbs

    • @tonyturner779
      @tonyturner779 6 лет назад

      KawieRider oh ok cool. I'm hitting 56lbs at WOT from 4th -6th. Then it levels off and sits around 22-25 until I wot again.

    How much did it all cost you and have you dynoed it? Im thinking of same thing but was thinking a s472 but your videos got me on this turbo i just plan for a mild 400-500 hp turbo (push it later) and itll mostly be daily driving and stuff

    • @CORNYOTE
      @CORNYOTE  7 лет назад +1

      I think with everything, including tunes, exhaust, egr removal, and the whole swap probably close to $3500

    • @CORNYOTE
      @CORNYOTE  7 лет назад

      I haven't dyno'ed it, but it's a healthy truck now for sure.

    • @CORNYOTE
      @CORNYOTE  7 лет назад +2

      Had I had an automatic, I would've likely gone bigger. Probably an S467. The S464 spools quicker though and it comes into play with the manual trans. It'll make over 550 with additional fuel mods. I suspect I'm around 500-550 on stock fuel on my big tune. If you plan to do fuel mods soon, I might suggest the S472, but you'll want injectors and either a stroker pump or dual pumps to get the most out of it.

      KawieRider So did you buy a complete 2nd gen kit or piece it together? And where did you get it? I have a 16 g56 mega lookin at 2nd gen kits but im goin crazy tryin to decide what brand kit to go with and what turbo, i like the 463 and 464

    • @bmws1krr179
      @bmws1krr179 3 года назад

      @@kornfedkustoms1548 pieced mine together but mines a 3rd gen. For now the little 5.9 got a s475 and quite honestly the drive pressures are down enough where the 3.73 gears still love the highway and it escapes all the low end torque and brings it in later. Low to roll it and the rest to keep it going. Drives like a dump truck till i get better injectors and a bigger pump. The 6.7l can push a bigger charger like that easier. I'd do close to a 70mm. Lots of fun for stock and enough room to be serious down the road without buying another turbo
