I always learn from you that what I thought was just a weed is in fact beautiful and useful, my eyes are always scanning around now. I once was blind but now I see….thank you 😊
Another great video, thank you. I do eat herb Robert sometimes and it’s medicinal properties are varied and impressive. I mostly use a handful crushed on my arms and legs in the summer when I am out and about as it keeps flies, gnats and midges away. I have always known this plant as stinky Bob, for good reason.
Brilliant. You should definetely do a video of EVERYTHING that's edible in your entire garden. Perhaps make a Garden Sald with all the ingredients. Thank you so much for all your knowledge brother. Blessings
I had this growimg wild where I used to live, got in all my flower ours and ended up bringing it to my new place, and yet again has grown mad again, I'm so glad it's a herbal, Im doing a herbology diploma and realising so much ony garden is actually the sort of plants I need to thrive. I want to get off man made meds and use my garden as my pharmacy . Thank you for your helpful videos ❤️
Ahhh I never knew! Thanks for sharing your knowledge! I often use these to dry out the flowers, they hold their colour well when dried and I use them for crafts.
Great 👍 think this is growing in our garden, I’ll look and give it a go. I went out over the weekend and found some wild garlic buds, followed your instructions and picked them! They small amazing but have not yet tried them , will let you know when I do👍
I've been letting my garden get a bit wilder (ok, partly through laziness!) to see what takes, and have got lots of herb robert taking. It's lovely, thanks for the great video.
Ahh cool so this is what it's called. Whilst gardening last week I pulled some of this up, noticing it's coriander like smell. Interesting to know it's edible. Thank you I may use this in a curry ☺ Edit: can you dry you it out and use it also as a dried herb
Thank you. Always wondered what was growing in the rocks up against my house. Have always let them grow because I think they are pretty plants. Wondered whether or not they were weeds but guess they are a wild flower.
Hi, great video, I've had this in my garden for over 25 years, decided to research everything I discover now, interestingly though there is quite a few articles on its anti cancer properties.
Another new herb for me, the leaves look similar to small oak tree leaves. Can you eat the stems too, or is it just the leaves and flowers? Thanks as always for the video.
Ever since I was a kid, the smell has really bothered me! I can see the association with coriander i suppose, but not one for me. Lovely dandelion leaves at the moment though :)
So it's a herb, always thought it was just a really pretty weed. Happy to know it's a herb, any medicinal properties? Or am I wrong in thinking it's a herb and instead is a flowering plant?
Love this vid, thanks - had no idea it was edible as always been told it was a weed by ignorant people. I always thought it a very pretty wild flower and kept it in pots with Acers (much to the weed haters' annoyance, lol). Looking forward to trying a leaf later today.
This plant it's a powerful lymphatic herb and should be used sparingly and in teas preferably. Exccelent for cleasing the lymph and breaking down tumors. :)
Thanks for this, I'm pretty sure I have a lot of this growing around the place & always wondered what it was. Is there anything that looks alike to this that I could be mistaking it for? Cheers 👍
So I stumbled upon this video in an effort to rid myself of this weed… I had no idea it had medicinal. They take over everything, and every effort (less roundup🤮), is futile at best. I guess i should maybe embrace it?

Ah that’s great thanks 😊
Weeds are just well flowering plants 😁 often 'weeds' are useful and necessary. Funny how we've come to associate weeds with being a nuisance.
@@UKWILDCRAFTS Have you heard them called “Death come quickly”? Why are they called that if they can be eaten?

Thanks 😊. Yes I’ve heard it’s a good mosquito repellent

Thanks :). Yes most of what people think of as ‘weeds’ in the garden are actually very useful plants that we would have all used years ago
Ahhh I never knew! Thanks for sharing your knowledge! I often use these to dry out the flowers, they hold their colour well when dried and I use them for crafts.
Really enjoy your videos 🙏🏾
I have been a forager since childhood but always learn something new from your films 👌🏽
Thanks. Foragers never stop learning 😊

Thanks 😊. Nothing wrong with a lazy garden haha
The wife complains to me about not cutting the garden enough i just say "Wow, You're so old fashioned,Rewilding is the in thing nowadays"
@@Gos1234567Agreed! I think the manicured lawn is quite out of fashion!
Thanks. :) Just found some of this yesterday and was amazed by the redness of the stem. Love your videos!
Thanks 😊

I’ve not actually tried it as a dried herb. It’s already quite an intense flavour and drying would make it more intense. I’ll give it a go though!

Concise and informative video
My rabbit really likes this plant also

Thanks 😊. You can eat the stems too, they go tough quite quickly though so really only on younger plants
Great video! We have a ton of this growing in our garden and always thought it was wild coriander but wasn't sure if it was safe to eat..
Got some of this growing by my pond. I think it's quite pretty!
Another great informative video, thanks for sharing.
😁
Very interesting! Thank you very much.
I had no idea it was edible even if I knew it was a Geranium.
Thanks 😊
@@UKWILDCRAFTS Thanks again, I did forage them and eat them a few times since then
Perfect timing. Thanks very much!!
😊
Hello and welcome to UK wildcrafts with me, Robert Herb
Thank you for sharing and clear identification
Cheers 😁
I have loads in the garden it's a nice looking plant and covers the bare earth, i'll try it as salad veg.
Yes I like to let it take over parts of the garden. Some pollinators seem to love it
Herb Robert goes right by my front door, after seeing your videos I've picked some to dry. I'll use it like dried coriander.
Thank you! I'll stop pulling this up as a weed and start using it in the kitchen! Looking forward to using instea of coriander
Ever since I was a kid, the smell has really bothered me! I can see the association with coriander i suppose, but not one for me. Lovely dandelion leaves at the moment though :)
Same smell as stink bugs.
Thanks for watching, subscribe for more plant and mushroom ID videos ruclips.net/user/UKWILDCRAFTS

Good for sorting out mouth ulcers too

Thanks 😊. Lots of what people consider weeds are actually good edibles. In some cases they are better than the plants people try to grow haha
Great videos. Do let me know if you need any help with exposure on your camera. Looks over exposed.
Always find this in my garden!
I have geranium purpureum or little Robin in my garden, I just wonder if they have the same qualities is its cousin, herb Robert? Thank you
Good information, thanks.
You’re welcome 😊
Do you dry the leaves and flowers before using them as a herbal tea?
You can use fresh or dried. I usually prefer using dried for teas
The music's a welcome addition. Do you know who made it?
Thanks. I use Epidemic Sound for all my music for RUclips. The artist of this track is John T Graham yeah
Nice one! Like coriander? Salsa with herb robert me thinks!
Good idea 😁
This plant it's a powerful lymphatic herb and should be used sparingly and in teas preferably. Exccelent for cleasing the lymph and breaking down tumors. :)
My fave video on herb Robert. I’ve heard it also absorbs EMFs. Is there any truth in this?
Thanks :). I’ve not heard anything about that so not sure
Ooh !!?😮
How often can you water Herb Robert's?
So also the flower, and the whole plant is edible?
Nice one. Your sound is so much netter these days. : )
Thanks 😊. Been learning a lot about editing recently. I didn’t know a thing about it before I started RUclips
@@UKWILDCRAFTS And your learning is facilitating our learning. That's beautiful, man.
Thanks much appreciated
Nice one, thank you. ❤

Not really apart from other geranium species
As long as it’s got hairy stems it will be herb Robert rather than some of the other geraniums
What’s its good for ?
thanks i got this allready in my garden if no food rest assured its getting cooked
So I stumbled upon this video in an effort to rid myself of this weed… I had no idea it had medicinal. They take over everything, and every effort (less roundup🤮), is futile at best. I guess i should maybe embrace it?
Yeah personally I like the flowers of herb Robert 😁
Ewwww no, I wouldn’t want to eat herb robert. It stinks! Not everything that’s edible is worth eating
True but I enjoy it
@@UKWILDCRAFTSfair enough - there’s certainly enough of it. The smell really puts me off.
