Thankyou so much for reminding me of how wonderful this plant is. Mugwort is one of my favourite plants but it's been a long time since i've seen it about as I moved areas. I used to make dream pillows and smudge sticks with it but the pillows were my favourite. I mixed it with other dreamy herbs. I was practicing being lucid in dreams and you know what? I got pretty good at it after some time of working with this plant and journaling routinely as soon as I woke up, I enjoyed many a flying dream!☺
Love the way you explain things. A worthy channel
The stems make my favourite hand drills too.

Thank you!! What is the latin name of this mugwort you are showing? Aren’t there several artemisias in the mugwort family?
Ooh I’m in Leicestershire where did you find this? Looks like you are near a canal 🤔
The first rule of foraging 😉
Well-done!😊
I've never been able to find mugwort, does it prefer water-logged ground? Hedgerows?
We tend to find it in ditches along hedgerows and on disturbed soils. So it doesn't mind having wet feet.
You forgot to tell your viewers that it shouldn't be consumed if pregnant as it causes miscarriage. In olden times if a pregnancy was unwelcomed this is how it was sorted out - with strong mugwort tea.
Thanks for sharing this.
That is why I grow it , mugwort , pennyroyal and rue make excellent abortion tea.
Most ppl should look up any herb etc before they even ingest or use it topically. Ur good point
Mugwort is a euphanistic term used for it being Wormwood and used as she indicated, tho used to make abisynth and it is an anti cancer herb as well as an anti parasitic...!
Wort is the old english word for plant
I have it in my yard and it says invasive in New England USA should I get rid of it?? Thanks
Yes! Mugwort is very invasive in yards/gardens here in the Eastern US; take action if you don't want it to take over the whole yard. Good luck!
@@marthaj5466 I have been weeding it out and cutting back where I haven't yet . Thanks!
