    For You:
I'm more sorry than you can possibly know for how things turned out between us, it's without doubt my biggest regret in life, but I know that this pain is necessary, for without it I cannot grow. You once said that things are fated to happen, that some people are not meant to walk with us forever, that they are only fleeting acquaintances there to teach us a lesson. If that's what fate intended for us, then I just want the world to know that I have no regrets. It's infinitely better to have loved and lost, and walk away with shattered hearts but cherished memories, than never to have known you at all.
I stumbled across this song by chance, and I do not plan on sharing it with anyone else. I know that you preferred songs with lyrics, but I would like nothing more for you to listen to it, and hope that you may find within it something special, just like I have. As I listen, the music stirs within me a myriad of indescribable emotions and long ago repressed feelings, and a scene, borne out of future vision, or a jaunt down memory lane I do not know:
A warm afternoon along the beaches of Nice, onboard a quiet train, we sit, on the same side around a shared table. Normally I wouldn't sit here, lest it becomes awkward should a stranger decide to sit opposite, but here and now it is just the two of us. Sunshine floods in liberally from the cloudless skies outside, painting the interior with alternating waves of dazzling light and brief, intermittent shade. Your sit with your back against me, almost lying down on the bench. The feel of you is solid and real against my chest, the rise and fall of your chest rhythmic and calming as my arms wrap around you from behind, holding you close. Our solitude is briefly interrupted in the form of the inspector, but he is quickly gone again after an exchange of tickets and swift smiles. Your eyes are closed, your breathing slow and deep, the upturn of your lips gentle and not at all helpful in determining whether you are asleep. Unconsciously, I feel the corners of my own lips lifting to match yours as I look down into your face, the sea breeze but a whispered caress as it rolls in from the open window, swirling around the compartment and filling my senses with nothing but you. Outside, the sun's reflection forms a sparkling streak of blinding gold that stretches shifting but unbroken towards the ends of the Earth where deep, mysterious ocean meets joyous, blue sky.
The melodic beats are steady and insistent, their nature unassuming and open to interpretation. My mind is light years away now, skimming through what seems like a lifetime of pain and tears and heart-wrenching sobs; racing past fears of inadequacy and feelings of shame rooted deep in childhood scars; drowning in the helplessness of heated argument and drama-filled confrontation; and ultimately, predictably, losing myself in those "what if?" moments as endless possibilities dangle in front of my mind's eye, each representing a tiny pinprick of hope against the suffocating web of despair like the feeble fairy lights we used to put up at Christmas against the never-ending abyss of night; despite all this, I also recall with perfect clarity your beatific smile lighting up my world; the way your dress flowed as you raced down the stairs into my arms; staying up talking about anything and everything into the small hours of the morning even though you had to get up at six; how you literally dragged me out of my self-imposed holes; your lips tinged purple with cold outside Heathrow as I ran to find you; and not only how we took care of each other, but also how you took care of me when I wasn't strong enough to continue. Most of all, this music reminds me of the joys and sorrows of lives just begun, and the endless possibilities ahead, how with blood, sweat, tears and relentless focus, we can succeed in whatever it is we choose to do, and that we, as humans, have no limits.
I am pulled out of my reverie by you shifting slightly against me. It has gotten considerably darker; outside the Sun is a muted orange, bleeding long strands of crimson into restless seas against a diminishing canvas of dusky sky. Ahead of us, towards where the train is headed, I see a full moon, accompanied by the faintest suggestion of wispy cloud, rising in tandem, higher and higher towards the inky skies above; reflexively, I pull you in closer, not intending to let go again. I close my eyes and let the music take me away, for in this moment, I am at peace with the world.
    G

Oh my God, your videos speak to the deepest parts of my soul.
I've never seen a music video that encapsulates how I feel in my every day life. Your flashes to moments in the past are some of the most evocative imagery I've ever seen.

    This video is simply beautiful.
The contrast between man and nature, the love and life of women, the constant of the Earth.
Seeing a wave crash in slow motion, as waves have done for millions of years and overlooked by our own narcissistic thoughts, interchanged with a young woman, eyes open and then closed, is a perfect metaphor and is simply beautiful imagery.
    Thank you.
