"Daily state of ecstasy"...YESSS! Same here! We live simply in Istra but are much happier than we were in Canada. Seems like a completely different galaxy.
    Those views are truly outstanding.
    Fascinating video...thank you!

6:40 this place where you parked your car is certainly not the customers property! It is a maritime domain or a public domain. There is no such thing as a private beach here. The sea, the beach and about ten meters from the sea are nobody's property. In fact, the owner can be held criminally liable if he occupies a maritime domain...

I didn’t mean that I was parked literally at his property, but near it.

Thanks for making another video Dušan. I agree 100% about the pace of life and really having balance. Money isn’t everything. I would rather have a cold drink on the Beach and not be in a rush than working non stop to pay the man.

Exactly, it’s so easy to just blur every day away working all the hours but is it worth it?

Glad you liked it! Was it anything specific or just because it’s more of real life over here? 😄

It's interesting that people who come from abroad keep telling me how beautiful Croatia is and how they would want live here. While my friends all flee to Germany and England for work and better pay, I understand the appeal of that. Sure, paychecks aren't big here, but there's more to life than affording things. Many people who move to big cities eventually realize this. Unfortunately, those European cities have become so focused on money that they often lose their original charm.
That sense of isolation doesn't need to exist in such Western cities, but they've become money zones. It seems to me they're prioritizing economic gain over cultural preservation, becoming these economic multicultural hotspots that don't feel hospitable anymore. There's something about living in a community where everyone is similar to you. It's a comfort that can be difficult to replicate in a large, impersonal city with a diverse population.
It seems people give up their culture and connections for the economic opportunities offered by these multicultural hubs, which can sometimes feel less hospitable. There's a certain comfort in living in a community where everyone is similar. While I'm not xenophobic, living in a very diverse environment can feel unsettling at times. Perhaps it's a natural instinct - a tribal urge to be around those we share a history with. Our ancestors fought battles, built homes, and developed languages in these familiar places, creating a sense of calm and belonging.
I think this is nature's way of doing things, a tribal instinct ingrained in our DNA, I guess. It's unfortunate that cities in the UK lost that in a way.
It's unfortunate that cities like London have lost this sense of community in their pursuit of economic growth. Western Multicultural Big cities often feel like places solely focused on financial gain, the constant bustle can create a feeling of perpetual unease. Unlike smaller towns where people seem to truly live, enjoying nature, relaxing etc.

I completely agree with what you are saying. I love that Croatia has preserved its culture for now and hope they dont get ruined by EU plans to emigrate mass third worlders to every European Country.
I like the way Croatia is and hope it stays this way.
