    Man, you keep making me want more tools... Even those I don't need to have...

      I love tools. I justify buying them because they always pay for themselves 10 fold in time.

    This is even handy for the tools that I keep in my toolbox in the back of my car. Believe it or not as an IT professional I do require a toolbox with some tools very often.

    I think we need a review of those bathrobes too XD.
    (Edit)
    Before someone give me shit about my comment, it's a joke. You can wear whatever you want and we still be watching your videos.

      Lol. My wife is not going to like that. It’s an insulated flannel she bought me a few days ago. Now that I think about it, it does look like a bathrobe though. I thought your comment was hilarious btw.

    I never cared for tool rolls in the past. I’m on the road a lot now towing a travel trailer so now I find myself wanting one of these or the full size to use as a compact decent all around tool set instead of carrying a big heavy socket ratchet set. I can throw a large variety of tools in that in case I need to work on the camper or the truck.

    Bought one, and it's as good as I hoped from your video. The only thing I think I'd change would be to line up the stitching on the elastic strip with the tool pockets below to make it easier to have longer tools secured in the elastic strap extending into the tool pockets if needed. (Yes, I know that would require changing the sewing pattern on the elastic strap.). Not a big deal on something so close to perfect. Thanks for bringing this to our notice.

    Nice review. Got something similar just a couple of weeks ago: "Carhartt Legacy Tool Roll". My father (rest his soul) used to have a similar roll (canvas) in his car, and my intention was to use the one I got the same way. But when I got it was hard not to notice that a tool rool can have many different uses. So currently I use the one I got for my pocket knife collection, ordered a new one now for my car tools. :)

    Dam that's a nice little tool roll. Would make a great kit for around the house repairs among others im now thinking about. Small enough to have a few different and not a bad price. Great review 👍

    Ben,
    Amazing review! I saw this armadillo bags like 1-2 years ago. Those can really help for people who need a compact set of tools or a specific/dedicated tools for a job. I have an engineer friend who carry like 4 of this bags and each one had the specific tools to fix certain types of HVAC chillers, he is always prepared for emergencys and no need to rush looking to pick tools, everything is in palce and ready to go. Very nice.
    Thia same friend introduce me to 'Veto Pro Pac' more heavy duty and wide options to choose. I bought the black tech pack, high quality material and perfect for my set of tools. I can carry on my shoulders, even if is heavy but It make my work a lot more easier with all of my tools organize in 1 place.
    I highly recommend you to try those ones, Sir. You get what you pay. A little expensive but you get great quality.
    Greetings from Laredo!

      I had never heard of Veto Pro PAC before. After spending a little time going through their website, it looks like they make some high quality products.

    Aside from foldable knives and pliers what other edc tool I can carry on my belt that you would reccomend?
    Edit: I already own the surge and the crunch.

    • @txtoolcrib
      @txtoolcrib  3 года назад +3

      A flashlight, number one. Make no mistake about it, a flashlight is a tool. I would definitely recommend a good high-quality flashlight. If you find yourself in need of an EDC prybar, there are many options out there for those as well. If you find yourself measuring things with any frequency, then a quality laser measuring device would be a good option. The Bosch that I just reviewed is a very nice option. That one will integrate a digital level as well. Before I started carrying the Knipex pliers wrench at work, I also used to carry a small 6 inch adjustable wrench. Some of those items would be considered more of a work EDC as opposed to a regular EDC though. I would definitely say a high-quality flashlight should be high on the agenda.

      @@txtoolcrib thanks a lot! Yeah, my EDC isnt the stereotypical cause I do use tools almost everyday as opposed to sometimes, which Is the case for most people.

    $38 for the large roll and $45 for this small version? Strange I like it but not for that amount.

      Small roll has the zipper pouch, makes it a little more expensive, but I take your point.

      @@txtoolcrib not that it matters but watch the manufacturers RUclips channel. For the most part its only the Germans who say kuh nipex. But even a lot of the Germans say nip ex. Kuh nipex comes from a German "slang" if you will. A lot of people say hk , heckler koch the German gun manufacturer a million different ways as well. Good videos either way. On a side note the only reason I brought it up is my snap on dealer went to their factory in Germany. A lot of snap on pliers are just re-branded knipex.

    • @txtoolcrib
      @txtoolcrib  3 года назад +1

      I’ve heard it both ways from the manufacturing representatives. Some of my German friends have told me that the K is indeed pronounced. It is their language, so I’m going to defer to them. To the best of my knowledge the actual true pronunciation is Ki knee pex.
