Fascinating gig from a period where we don't have a lot of live video. I'm not so convinced that trying to recreate the record was such a good idea. It seems so strange to have so much going on during a Police show. I'm guessing they were new to this set up at that time. I never liked the foot-pedals, they sound ridiculous. Still, a great document of the transition between a power trio to a the pop phenom of Sychroncity.

The horns were just a bad idea to begin with, but good lord. Where did they find these guys? The local high school band alternates? Undoubtedly another of Sting’s bad ideas for things to help the Police live, like those stupid foot pedal synths he could never get right, or the Synchronicity tour backup singers. What a shame, cause as a trio they really were badass. Too bad he was the only one who never quite understood that was all they needed.

To think that horns horribly arranged by the bands leader pretty much ruined much of this tour. Play the damn song like the record. Hungry for you is The prime example of trying to rearrange completely brilliant album. Ughh! What saves it, I mean the tour, not that song, is there unbelievable talent.
