Sting is just as good a song writer as Paul McCartney.

Lazarus Heart as the opener was such a great choice. That tune gets me every time. Under-utilized weapon in Sting's arsenal, imho.

Seriously great music. This is prime, top of his game Sting. Awesome. Such an effective, efficient, and tasteful bassist with gorgeous tone.

There are no words that I can think of to describe this out of this world performance and experience and I'm beginning to think that this man and his band of brothers IS from another planet or dimension which fortunately I have now been allowed to enter into and make the connections I was meant to make from the beginning of time, so to speak. Are we not ALL connected and are we not one another in different universes which are only a flick of a light switch away, as it were? All I CAN say about this unbelievably beautiful display of incredible talent and total understanding of life as we have come to know it is WOW, WOW, WOW!!!

My all time favourite band. I was 15 Mum and Dad never let me travel from Glasgow to see them but I managed to see them twice as an adult.

The horn section was just a disaster which brought nothing to the police sound apart from ruining it. I’m not surprised Andy hated the use of the horn section.

Sting had a really good bass tone here. What happened? I can barely hear his bass nowadays, and when I do, it's just a wirey thinny thing.

So strange to see Sting as just frontman. Not sure he has the charisma and stage presence to fully pull it off (compared to with a bass on him), but the music gains another level. Sure, he's a fine bass player, but a dedicated one has so much more freedom and, as a singer, he also reaches another level, as not constrained by the physical burden of bass playing

In my opinion, one of the best bands. It sounds original, prolific and one of a kind.

Great tune, great band. Still, feels a bit rushed, doesn't seem to settle in that groove that other live versions do. Maybe I've just had too much coffee, dunno.

This was my first night working at The Hollywood Bowl. I was stage-right the whole show. Worked there for six years and saw some great shows, but nothing topped this one.
