I loved TOTP! And its true that viewers didn't care it their fave bands were miming or not, we just wanted to see our favourite bands "performing" on the stage 😂

3:14 It’s funny you mention the Swinging Blue Jeans, because there’s a rumor that one of the band members Ralph Ellis was at one point a double for John Lennon.
It’s possible he sung on a track because his vocals on Don’t Make Me Over sound very similar to John.

Some organizations remove Savile and revoke their accolades; others won't.
Additional edit: if it looks like a duck and it quacks like a duck it's a duck.

During his life time very few called him out. Those who did were banned from the BBC i.e. John Lydon (a.k.a. Johnny Rotten). Only after his death some tried to distance themselves from him, while others continues to sing his praises - highlighting that Savile helped them at the start of their pop careers. But mostly he has been airbrushed out of history wherever possible.....except where doing so would have drawn negative attention by highlighting that there was indeed a connection. Try finding more than one piece of documentation that names the celebrity mourners at his funeral and you will see how well the airbrushing was done.

So a literal airbrush out? Interesting. Like they did with Stalin.

Paul and John look the same height in those pictures.

At certain times they did appear to be the same height. Officially, they were claimed to be 5' 11"

Paul was a bit taller but not enough to be super obvious

@@aunch3 One of the "Pauls" was average height 5' 8" or thereabouts. Sgt Paul is 6' 2". But there are shorter "Billy" era versions. As you will see if you take a look and my video about their heights.ruclips.net/video/bNP0JOejS2U/видео.html

@user-rc2xt1gt7b Take a look at him with James Corden in my Beatles' Heights Short stories and Tall tales video - he's either shrunk a lot or there's a tall "Billy" and a short one - you decide.

You should put the birth names of the barons too just for historical accuracy

I've put full biographical details of the "Barons" on Part 6 of the Childhood Beatlemania series and all the details of those clever Jewish gentlemen who helped the lads up the ladder. Also posted a part in that series solely about Bernstein and Grade: ruclips.net/video/iashLOgHPIE/видео.html There is of course Google for those with the internet: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sidney_Bernstein%2C_Baron_Bernstein. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lew_Grade ruclips.net/video/oJA6lC6XZH0/видео.html
