- Breaking in Nova Wheels or other Soft Resin Wheels, This is how I do it, and well, it works!!! Other may disagree, but remember, there are many ways of doing specific tasks in the lapidary craft. These Diamond Pacific Soft Resin Nove Wheels are the best (in my opinion) wheels someone can install on their Cabochon machine.

A very good set of procedures for doing this.
Thank you for the informative video. I was looking at my wheels today and wondering why it was taking so long, and then I realized that some of them are bald. This will be my first time changing them.
Added this to my save videos 😁
I’ve never did any maintenance on my hard wheel galaxies….ive had them for about 5-6 years. They seem to not hop. Is there anything you’d recommend to treat them to just extend life or tips?…I will just be buying new ones. If I can make last longer that would be cool if possible. Great video and thanks 💎👨🏭💎
I just clean mine once every few weeks with a blue sponge with the scrubbing scotch bright side. I do this for all my wheels including the hard ones. Now I do not use the hard Galaxy Wheels, I use the Sintered Wheels from Kingsley North, they work better for my style and will probably last me 10 to 15 years. They are also quieter. But see, there are so many different ways of doing work in the Lapidary craft. What I show is what I do and what works for me. Will it work for others? It should but there is no guarantee. Thanks for watching!!!!
understanding it can vary quite a bit by a number of factors... but how long are the wheels supposed to last? Years with weekly use?
To be honest, I am not sure. These wheels for some people last for years.
My wheels lasted for about three years before needing replacement. I cut about 100 pieces with them. I make large jade pieces and probably have used them incorrectly as this was my first set. I used the soft wheels as I would a grinder, because it feels "safer" for the jade. This probably wore them down my quickly.
"I'm not going to bore you with all the details," said after 11 minutes of intro.
If you do not like it, do not watch. You could unsubscribe and never watch another one of my videos again and it would not bother me in the slightest.
@@1JawsJr this was the first video of yours I've watched, and as you can probably surmise, you were never at risk of losing a subscriber you never had. You may have other videos worth watching, but I'll never find out.
@@dopperpod na, do not need you to watch them... I am just fine without it. See, unlike most other RUclipsrs, I am not in this for the money, I do this for fun, and if you do not like my version of fun, go ahead and watch the other rock hound RUclipsrs who are begging for views and memberships which is an indirect form of begging for money. Me, I am as real as one gets, but hey you do not like my style, do not let the door hit you in the rear on the way out.
@@1JawsJryou say you don't care, yet here you are responding to some unknown commenter talking about your 11 minutes of slow-flappin jaws.
Actions speak louder than words.
@@dopperpod yep a form of entertainment. I could do this all day like while I am waiting on my saw to finish cutting my magnificent Davis Creek rainbow obsidian, but you will not see any of it because you do not like my videos. Oh well.
