This box contains a whole album of bonus tracks for The Beatles In Mono box set fans - 16 original US mono mixes transferred from the first generation UK master tapes. Many complained in 2009 that these mixes were not included in The Beatles In Mono. And now they are, but mono lovers are silent and unhappy.

Not a box set you really need. It says american albums, but most mixes are u.k. mixes and not the capitol ones. Listen to roll over beethoven from a real capitol album and compare it to this mix. Ten you will now what I mean.
While I agree it's not a box set you really need, it's a box set I'm glad to have picked up. It really is a beautiful collection, and there are unique musical elements included. Not all of them, but enough to show a little respect toward the U.S. albums.
You are right on the money. I used to have this box set but I gave it away. I just bought for the package alone knowing that the sound wasn't accurate.
