    Can the Tesla with PPF go through a car wash or is that an absolute no-no?

      It can if edges are wrapped over but still not recommended

    Awesome video! Can you do a follow-up of what to do when or if ppf starts lifting in places on edges over time?

    • @tesbros
      @tesbros  5 месяцев назад +2

      Unfortunately, if PPF starts lifting overtime, the best thing to do is to cut it to keep it from continuing to lift. After you do that, clean the area with alcohol/water mix and press the edge down with a clean microfiber. Use heat to seal the edge if needed.
      Also, If you're under warranty from the shop that did your PPF, they should be able to fix it or replace the panel.

    What do you do if it rains daily? Do you rinse and dry it daily as well to avoid watermarks?
    Example: while going to work - its raining. While in work, it stops raining and sun comes up. You get back home, do you wash right away? Tnx

      When you get home and it's no longer raining, use a clean, soft microfiber cloth to wipe down the car. This helps prevent water spots from forming. You don't necessarily have to wash it again, just wipe it down.
      You can also use a quick detailer spray like a waterless wash to lift any dirt or debris and prevent water spots at the same time. This also provides a bit more lubrication to prevent scratches while you're wiping it down too. We use our waterless wash for this method - tesbros.com/products/waterless-wax-16oz

    I live in an apartment and can’t do the wash there. Is it ok to just do a rinseless wash like ONR?

    • @tesbros
      @tesbros  5 месяцев назад +1

      Yes! Using a rinseless wash like ONR can keep your car clean and well-maintained even when traditional washing methods aren't an option.

    Will spraying tack solution on top of ppf damage the ppf? Not sure because it has alcohol in it and I don’t know what to use to clean it before installing MOHS EVO 2 ceramic coating.

      Tack will be just fine

    Hi thanks for the video. I put PPF on my new Mazda 3 hatchback T Premium’s hood. I purchased mitts and wonder how you clean them after use. I just rinsed them over and over for a while and they take a while to dry. What to you do? Also, did you say you added ceramic coating on top off the PPF? I was thinking about doing the ceramic to the rest of the car with out the PPF

    • @tesbros
      @tesbros  Год назад +1

      Great question! I spray them down with my hose once I'm done cleaning, wring them out, and then hang them or drape them over something to dry. And yes you can add ceramic coating to your PPF and the paint. No worries there. Just remember that you can't put PPF or vinyl on top of the coating since it won't adhere to it. So be sure that's what you want. If you want to do it yourself, I recommend the ceramic coating MOHS EVO for beginners. It's just easier to work with imo. It can go over PPF, vinyl, and paint. Here's our video on it: ruclips.net/video/krXTc5Eso7w/видео.html

    So is ceramic coding better ?

    • @tesbros
      @tesbros  4 месяца назад

      If you're looking to just make it easier to clean and keep clean, then ceramic coating is a good choice. Keep it mind that it won't protect against rocks or scratches like PPF will though. You can always ceramic coat on top of the PPF for that extra hydrophobic layer if you'd like.

    Can I apply Adams Advance Graphene over a Wax Based Ceramic?

    • @tesbros
      @tesbros  5 месяцев назад +1

      It won't adhere very well to the wax. The graphene should be applied directly to the paint

    Hi I have a black Honda civic sport with ppf and ceramic coating. I would like to take my car to wash it by hand but I’m afraid that if I use wash mitts it will give swirl marks, will using wash mitts leave swirl marks? Any suggestions or advice?

    • @tesbros
      @tesbros  5 месяцев назад

      Hand washing is the ultimate method for cleaning your car. To prevent swirl marks, use the two-bucket method ( ruclips.net/video/1PZxu9VwlMo/видео.html ). This technique involves one bucket for soapy water and another for rinsing, allowing you to thoroughly clean your mitt between panels and avoid introducing debris to the surface. Ensure your mitt remains clean and use straight, gentle motions rather than circular ones.

      @@tesbros what if I live in a apartment complex, would a touch less car wash bay booth work?

    • @tesbros
      @tesbros  5 месяцев назад

      Touchless car washes won't leave swirl marks, so that's a plus. But oftentimes, they use very harsh chemicals that can shorten the life of your ppf and ceramic coating overtime if you use them often. If you can't do a full wash at home, you can do those every now and then and use a rinseless wash like ONR or our waterless wash in between washes.
