I feel like "passionate" shouldn't be blindly loving everything Nintendo does. Passionate, to me, is exactly what you do. You get upset about what Nintendo does because you love them so much and hate something they've done. Your honesty and loyalty are your passion! Love you, Wood.
yeah but for the last 2 years his reviews have been getting weirder and weirder, that last review for the nintendo direct were weird at best. If he isn't salty maybe he doesn't have the grap for a good review anymore, don't mean to judge, but ever since what happened 2 years ago he has been moking or low reviewing nintendo
@@pedroborges8732 if you don't like his videos, don't watch. The important thing is to remember there is a human being on the receiving end of these comments. Better people communicate dislikes with fewer views than hateful comments.
I thought the direct was great but a lot of my friends didn’t. He already commented the direct wasn’t for him and that’s ok. He had mentioned who would be more excited about that direct because not everyone will like everything that comes out in a direct.
I had just thought to myself the other day after a difficult day at work, "don't ask for someone's honesty and then be frustrated at what they say." You don't owe anyone anything. Keep making your honest content, because when you're honest then people know they can trust you, and trust isn't easily earned. So keep at it 💚
@M J I totally agree. They really lost a big one with him, because his content is full of nothing but love and honesty for the company. Nintendo needs to rethink who they use to manage their ambassadors.
I totally agree with that statement. Such a hard pill to swallow but true nonetheless. I'm glad that Wood has been upfront with his opinions. Even though Nintendo dropped him, he still makes videos gushing over Nintendo products that he loves.
I'll take an ambassador that speaks their mind and calls out the bad and hypes the good. Passion isn't blind to faults. Saying garbage is fantastic? That's not being an ambassador, that's being a used car salesman. All that leads to is people unsubscribing.
Exactly! That's what happened at Boeing when they started, they support the passion of the employees and wanted to receive feedback. After their merger with McDowell they started caring less about the passion of the employees and more about Wallstreet. This caused layoffs and crashes to the planes.

Nintendo is extremely anti consumer. How can people think criticism towards them is a grudge. There are things to criticize about them every other day.
I've always thought, since it happened, that them dropping you was better for YOUR brand. No pressure from any companies to talk about anything specific. Instead you get to discuss what you want and how you want. Much love ❤️

If your a fan, you can see both the good and the bad in whatever thing you like If your a fanboy/girl you get mad at even the slightest negative thing that you like. I feel like your oldest viewers understand nothing has changed since you were dropped from the ambassador program. Then there’s people who found your channel just before or just after and that’s all they know you for. Love ya brother. Please keep creating and ignore what others say.
It's a difficult balance between interacting with your viewers enough to let them know you care about them, but not becoming so invested in their opinions that it becomes an emotional drain on you. Sadly, I don't think those accusations will end because a large chunk of them won't see this video or they'll see it but choose to ignore it. No matter what happens, stay grounded in who you are and continue being you unabashedly.
So glad you brought it up at the end of the video, cause it’s like you reached into my brain and pulled the words out. It pains me to know that the people who want to say you’re salty will absolutely die on that hill. You put so much effort into making this awesome explanation, and the ones who want to be crappy won’t give this video a chance. They essentially won’t let you “have your say”, because they’re petty. And the people who have watched this fully through, are the ones who will fully support you through the ups and downs regardless. We love you Wood. I think the point about reading between the lines is important here. I think wood knows that’s not what they were saying. They can’t literally say what they were trying to say so they said that hoping the true point would be received.

Honestly, the drama you had with Golin/Nintendo when you got dropped from the ambassador program is what brought me to your channel. I’m still here because you produce great content. I love hearing about gaming from all sides, positive and negative, and about more than exclusively Nintendo. In my humble opinion, you’re one of the best for that. Your content is some of the most genuine/authentic as far as gaming goes, so keep being you Wood!
The difference is you're a fan and not a fanboy. Fanboys want you to be fanboys like them. They basically gatekeep whatever they're a fan of and if you have a criticism of it, they try to discredit your opinion in whatever ridiculous way they can. It makes them feel better about someone disagreeing with them. If you were a Nintendo fanboy who believed they could do no wrong, you're opinion would be predictable and hold little value. This is why you have a successful platform and they don't.
No real Nintendo fan can just "love" Nintendo. As years pass, all of us end up hating Nintendo a little. Or a lot. We like the games, but we don't like the company behind those games. Nintendo as a bunch of developers is amazing, very high standards and gameplay first, great principles. But Nintendo as a company, wow, that brand has a LOT of problems. For some reason, Nintendo inspires a lot of loyalty. Some cult techniques and psychological manipulation from their part. Apple does a lot of things in a similar way. Some Companies are good at cultivating the blind loyalty of a few people. But that's what they are: A few people. A bunch of people, that scream loud enough to feel like an army. And they go together, like an avalanche. But at the end of the day, most of us who followed Nintendo for DECADES know how flawed the company is. Being a Nintendo fan means SUFFERING. A lot of joy, but a lot of pain too. A lot of questions without answers, a lot of frustrations. Whenever I find a gaming channel that just hypes Nintendo, I know they are not trustworthy. Because nobody normal can be like that. A channel truly made by a Nintendo fan, will have at least a few problems with the company. And that's a good sign. Sign that the channel is honest.
@@cassandrastell2248 they REFUSE to adapt the market for one. Could be a good and bad thing but it’s more of that latter. No backward compatibility, no good online multiplayer, cheap hardware, ports galore/lack of original AAA content compared to competitors

Honesty is one of the things that has kept me coming back to your content. Sadly, Nintendo has a core,die hard fanbase that can never see Nintendo's wrongdoing's (mainly because most of them have only experienced gaming through Nintendo and its consoles). I've come to realise that they will never really change, you just have to learn to live with a horde of 30 year olds that never aged past the age of 13 and will passively-agressively ""cancel" every negative comment/opinion/argument they come across.
Sounds a lot like the modern left cancel culture. If anything major bad happens to our nation I can firmly say we deserve every piece of it from a spiritual moral level of things. We asked for it!!!
Have you seen Sony? What Nintendo does is minor. This is one of the reasons that we still watch your videos and streams... you have always been honest about the games and the systems. There is no bought bias.
People really seem to have a hard time dealing with the fact that others' opinions of things can be complex and a real mixed bag of positive and negative. I think anyone can see that you are passionate about Nintendo, you are probably the most passionate Nintendo Guy I've ever seen, and I think it's maybe a bit ridiculous at times, but that's why people love your channel! Nintendo plays dirty sometimes, plain and simple. All huge companies do. Egos and money. But, take Disney for instance, some things they do are downright disgusting, but they are masters at magical experiences and some pretty deeply profound themes lately in some of their animated features. The positive things they do are astounding to me. And you can CHOOSE to be entirely "salty" about it and just say that Nintendo or Disney are all bad, or you can accept there are some negatives and hold the positives dearly in your heart and appreciate them. Nothing is black and white in this world, absolutely nothing. And I know people hate that. They want to be able to define things, and be right about them, and pretend to understand them, but they don't truly understand things. All things are ever-changing and evolving and there's beauty and ugly in it. But you get to choose which side of that you want to participate in, what you want to focus on. No one else can do that for you, no one can force you to be "salty" about the negatives all the time. There's light and dark in all of it and you have to be grounded enough to accept that, and that you cannot change that about things, but you can choose which end you want to focus on and create your experience out of that. That's your creative power, and it applies to literally everything under the sun. Nothing is as it seems, it's all how you create it to be. That goes for Wood or anyone else reading this. You can be salty and love something, and even be salty because you love it and it lets you down. But no one can pretend that they have it all figured out for another person. It's infinitely complex, and so be it. As frustrating as it is to not be able to defining something, and have it stay that way, no one would want it any other way. Stagnation is intolerable. It is our nature to want to grow and evolve, we just seem to think we have a say-so about everyone and everything else. And we don't. Understanding that is also part of our evolution.
Personally, I believe it's for the better. As it has been said multiple times your content has only gotten better. Infact I greatly appreciate that you tell it like it is. I have watched other channels where they are basically Nintendo "can do no wrong" and it can be very off putting. Since you say what you feel it only leads to a more genuine review, which is why I value your opinion over others. I cannot thank you enough for being as genuine as you are. You tell it like it is. I cannot speak for anyone else but that's how I feel.

The funny thing is that the first video about Nintendo dropping Wood from the list of brand ambassadors was the first video I ever saw and got me in the radar of this channel. And I have been an avid fan ever since. Its still feels bad how they handled the whole situation but I have to applaud Wood for handling it so maturely
Nintendo can be just the absolute worse sometimes but the impact they've had on my life cant go unnoticed and I still love em haha. I don't see you as salty against them, just enjoying games as a whole on your channel. I think it's really helped you evolve a lot of your content here too :)
@@mario_adv2nture yeah. Stuff with cease and desist letters sent to people (like sml) and not to mention theres was a custom made etika (i believe) joy cons, the mkney was going to a charity, then nintendo wrote a cease and desist letter.

Nintendo has lost it since Iwata. Japan is very rigorous in business terms and likely is what's holding Nintendo back. They have to have permission from the bank to do anything like all companies do in Japan and they get fundings cut if they don't have a good track record compared to other (Non gaming) companies that make more money
For me, the most honest your are about the brand you're ambassador of, the more passionate you are. It's as simple as that. If you weren't passionate you'd just make content they're happy with, and you wouldn't challenge them to be better and grow

Your getting dropped by Nintendo videos were actually the first of yours that came across my page and since then I’ve been a huge fan. A lot of RUclipsrs will just pick a side and stick to it but one of my favourite things about your channel is that you can be critical and impartial but still a fan. The meaning of passionate is "having, showing, or caused by strong feelings or beliefs". If there was one word to describe you for anything you do on your channel, it would be "Passionate". They definitely used the wrong word and it makes sense why you were salty about it....you know....because you're so passionate lol Keep going bro, love your videos!
In the gaming community any emotional reaction is discredited as just saltiness. You do seem less shy about sharing your feelings as time goes on. Don’t let the comments put you in a negative feedback loop. People are gonna people and that’s not always nice. Sometimes people suck.
Great video, people can forget that you can love something and still be critical of it. Just like with a favorite sports team, you can be upset with decisions they make but still be a fan

I’ve always loved Nintendo but they seriously have been taking the lazy route with some games lately, which is why it annoys me that people will ignore that and just say “oh he’s just salty they dropped him” So you can’t have an opinion anymore because they dropped you?
I like how you are honest and I am sorry you are going through this. Sad that some people have no idea what is going on and throw hate. I am happy you make and still continue to make nintendo videos.
I think it’s incredibly unfair to say that you have to pretend to love what a company does to be a good ambassador. PR is wholly dependent on trust- that’s why there’s an ambassador program to begin with! People trust advertising less and less nowadays and so reviews made by peers are of SUPREME importance. So if you aren’t true to yourself and your opinions when you write a review (and if people notice), that credibility is gone and Nintendo has lost an advertising stream. All this to say, please don’t beat yourself up over this and blame your own actions for being dropped. Honesty is the best policy, and Nintendo and their brand managers should appreciate that.
I would also distrust channels more who only have one mind about Nintendo games. Where they say every game is wonderful or where all games are rubbish. You can say this game is not fore you because it takes 30 hours to just learn the controls. It is why I have Xenoblade 1+2 but never go far there... But also it is important to say yes this games is really easy, because it is meant to be played by 6 year old and not gamers counted as adults with years of experience.

There's this crowd who white knights for Nintendo and will strawman everything anyone says who isn't 100% pure praise of Nintendo. They think anyone who has even the slightest criticism of even one of Nintendo's games, or services, or anything else to do with Nintendo is just salty. They've just found something with Wood that they can refer back to every time to "justify" calling him salty.
Honestly, your honesty is really appealing. I’ve dropped creators over time, and watched new ones, not because the old ones were bad, but because as I grew, I looked for different things. However, I’ve continued watching your channel for a while and even after binging a whole lot of your older videos, I still find you making new thing and continuing being creative and don’t mind waiting however long for your new videos. Even in these types of videos, you are honest and keep it real. You tell us what’s on your mind, you acknowledge things going on in your personal life and tell us the bare minimum you trust us to know about. I never see any cringe, “I know him so well, I’m an older fan,” fans in the comments because you have created a mostly healthy community of trust where you never give anyone information they don’t need. Your videos show effort, creativity , and originality. Wood I completely understand where you’re coming from and how you feel man. There will always be people without class and/or people who don’t have the life experience necessary to know where you’re coming from brother. I only found your channel a couple of weeks ago and I’ve stayed watching your videos because you say what you feel, you show your frustrations and all of the joy you find in things and you have fun with it. Watching someone be who they are is much better than watching someone reading off a script that was written by someone else. Not saying that you don’t read off scripts but they are written by you, from your thoughts and feelings not by someone telling you how you should feel about it. Wood, you’re legitimately one of the most down to earth, nice and honest people I’ve ever seen on RUclips. Usually when people grow in a fan base they change, whether for the good or the bad. I remember finding you in 2017 (or 2018?) while looking for cheap switch games. 😂 And ended up staying. You’re one of the only ones I’ve seen that have stayed the same, stayed humble and stayed true to yourself. These people just want to bring you down. I am happy I found your channel when I did years ago. You tell it like it is and it's exactly what I want in a content creator. Your passion for games and especially Nintendo and the Switch match my own. The Switch is by far my favorite console of all time and I love that Nintendo has combined their home console and portable market into one amazing console that I can take with me anywhere (literally anywhere). I always check on your videos since I had my nintendo switch 2 years ago, I really like how you interact with your friends and family with nintendo games, buy random nintendo accessories to each other, the must buy game list, the random game bought and play, visit to Japan, your honest review and effort to edit the videos. I never felt you are salty and given bias comment on any games cause I really didn't felt it throughout all of your videos. I really appreciate all your effort and you did your best.
When you're honest you'll always have good and bad to say about something you're passionate about. The reason for calling out the bad is so they know where they might improve next time so you can praise them then. It really isn't hard but unfortunately we live in a world where constructive criticism of anything is a big no-no.

I found your channel right before you were dropped. After the incident, I never felt that you were "salty". It was an unfortunate situation and you have provided opinions on both sides of the spectrum. That's a great thing! There are a lot of people that don't understand criticism. People are different and have different opinions. We're not robots...or are we? You're fine, Wood. Keep doing what you're doing.

I've been following you for probably over 4 years and I always loved your honest reviews about games. I can't believe there are so many people who think you started hating Nintendo because of the embassador program thing. Out of all the Nintendo content creators I follow or have seen on youtube, you're the one I honestly trust the most, because you've never been afraid of speaking the truth and I also love that you can both criticize a game and enjoy it at the same time, like what happened with sword and shield. Lots of times I just wait for your review before buying a new game, specially with Pokemon, even though it's a franchise I love, but I feel like since Sun and Moon, they have gone a little bit downhill for me. I hope you keep being you and keep your honest, funny and cool videos and reviews, you're the best Nintendo creator on this platform and no one can change my mind ❤
To be fair, an ambassador is supposed to be an intermediary. Sure, they specifically represent a party, but they're also supposed to report back what the other party is saying or feeling about a situation. And the only way you have to report to Nintendo that their customers and fans are unhappy about something is to make a video about it. That said, you're a GREAT Nintendo RUclipsr.

You're the only "Nintendo/Switch Person" I watch consistently. I think I've been watching your videos since early 2020, maybe before then. I love that you're honest. The idea that an ambassador shouldn't say anything negative ever really doesn't sit right with me. I have always appreciated your unhindered opinions. I understand that ambassadors should follow rules, but calling out a company (for being greedy or anything else along those lines) is something that I think should be allowed. If you had only made positive videos and never shared any criticisms, that would've come off as dishonest or even fake. This is why I can't stand MissClick or PlayerEssence. I know they're your friends, but the fact they can't say anything and won't say anything bad about a brand because they don't want to lose that "ambassadorship" makes them lose ALL credibility. I mean they go so far as to fight and belittle others that have a differing, negative opinion of Nintendo.

I'd like to gently push back on the idea that having negative things to say about a company automatically disqualifies you from being a good ambassador. Are we really so complacent that we're willing to accept someone that isn't even being paid or compensated needs to mind their words and only post glowing reviews to help The Almighty Brand? To me, passion means trust, and when that trust is broken by greedy tactics or anti-consumer practices, who else but the most ardent fans would care so much? A company doing right by the creators that work with them would be taking that negative feedback as constructive criticism and say, "Alright, what can we do better in the future? Why do you feel the way you do, and if it's something we can fix, how do we fix it?" I can't agree that they did the right thing by dropping and being evasive and uncommunicative, but I can say that it was an ultimately good thing if only so you get to do what you want.
Bro. I have always enjoyed your videos and your energy. Nintendo is one company and this happened way too long ago for people to still be hung up about it. People need to take reviews with a grain of salt and remember that most reviews are made with the content creators opinion in mind. It is up to them to decide whether they like a game or not and yes, reviews are informative, but that's all they are. Information to give you a better opinion on if you should play the game or not. I thought the direct was great but a lot of my friends didn’t. He already commented the direct wasn’t for him and that’s ok. He had mentioned who would be more excited about that direct because not everyone will like everything that comes out in a direct.

It's a difficult balance between interacting with your viewers enough to let them know you care about them, but not becoming so invested in their opinions that it becomes an emotional drain on you. Sadly, I don't think those accusations will end because a large chunk of them won't see this video or they'll see it but choose to ignore it. No matter what happens, stay grounded in who you are and continue being you unabashedly.

Honestly, the drama you had with Golin/Nintendo when you got dropped from the ambassador program is what brought me to your channel. I’m still here because you produce great content. I love hearing about gaming from all sides, positive and negative, and about more than exclusively Nintendo. In my humble opinion, you’re one of the best for that. The difference is you're a fan and not a fanboy. Fanboys want you to be fanboys like them.
They basically gatekeep whatever they're a fan of and if you have a criticism of it, they try to discredit your opinion in whatever ridiculous way they can.
It makes them feel better about someone disagreeing with them.
If you were a Nintendo fanboy who believed they could do no wrong, you're opinion would be predictable and hold little value.
This is why you have a successful platform and they don't.
No real Nintendo fan can just "love" Nintendo. As years pass, all of us end up hating Nintendo a little. Or a lot. We like the games, but we don't like the company behind those games. Nintendo as a bunch of developers is amazing, very high standards and gameplay first, great principles.
But Nintendo as a company, wow, that brand has a LOT of problems.
For some reason, Nintendo inspires a lot of loyalty. Some cult techniques and psychological manipulation from their part. Apple does a lot of things in a similar way. Some Companies are good at cultivating the blind loyalty of a few people. But that's what they are: A few people. A bunch of people, that scream loud enough to feel like an army. And they go together, like an avalanche.
But at the end of the day, most of us who followed Nintendo for DECADES know how flawed the company is. Being a Nintendo fan means SUFFERING. A lot of joy, but a lot of pain too. A lot of questions without answers, a lot of frustrations.
Whenever I find a gaming channel that just hypes Nintendo, I know they are not trustworthy. Because nobody normal can be like that. A channel truly made by a Nintendo fan, will have at least a few problems with the company. And that's a good sign. Sign that the channel is honest.

Honesty is one of the things that has kept me coming back to your content. Sadly, Nintendo has a core,die hard fanbase that can never see Nintendo's wrongdoing's (mainly because most of them have only experienced gaming through Nintendo and its consoles). I've come to realise that they will never really change, you just have to learn to live with a horde of 30 year olds that never aged past the age of 13 and will passively-agressively ""cancel" every negative comment/opinion/argument they come across.

People really seem to have a hard time dealing with the fact that others' opinions of things can be complex and a real mixed bag of positive and negative. I think anyone can see that you are passionate about Nintendo, you are probably the most passionate Nintendo Guy I've ever seen, and I think it's maybe a bit ridiculous at times, but that's why people love your channel! Nintendo plays dirty sometimes, plain and simple. All huge companies do. Egos and money. But, take Disney for instance, some things they do are downright disgusting, but they are masters at magical experiences and some pretty deeply profound themes lately in some of their animated features. The positive things they do are astounding to me. And you can CHOOSE to be entirely "salty" about it and just say that Nintendo or Disney are all bad, or you can accept there are some negatives and hold the positives dearly in your heart and appreciate them. Nothing is black and white in this world, absolutely nothing. And I know people hate that. They want to be able to define things, and be right about them, and pretend to understand them, but they don't truly understand things. All things are ever-changing and evolving and there's beauty and ugly in it. But you get to choose which side of that you want to participate in, what you want to focus on. No one else can do that for you, no one can force you to be "salty" about the negatives all the time. There's light and dark in all of it and you have to be grounded enough to accept that, and that you cannot change that about things, but you can choose which end you want to focus on and create your experience out of that. That's your creative power, and it applies to literally everything under the sun. Nothing is as it seems, it's all how you create it to be. That goes for Wood or anyone else reading this. You can be salty and love something, and even be salty because you love it and it lets you down. But no one can pretend that they have it all figured out for another person. It's infinitely complex, and so be it. As frustrating as it is to not be able to defining something, and have it stay that way, no one would want it any other way. Stagnation is intolerable. It is our nature to want to grow and evolve, we just seem to think we have a say-so about everyone and everything else. And we don't. Understanding that is also part of our evolution.
Personally, I believe it's for the better. As it has been said multiple times your content has only gotten better. Infact I greatly appreciate that you tell it like it is. I have watched other channels where they are basically Nintendo "can do no wrong" and it can be very off putting. Since you say what you feel it only leads to a more genuine review, which is why I value your opinion over others. I cannot thank you enough for being as genuine as you are. You tell it like it is. I cannot speak for anyone else but that's how I feel.

The funny thing is that the first video about Nintendo dropping Wood from the list of brand ambassadors was the first video I ever saw and got me in the radar of this channel. And I have been an avid fan ever since. Its still feels bad how they handled the whole situation but I have to applaud Wood for handling it so maturely

Nintendo has lost it since Iwata. Japan is very rigorous in business terms and likely is what's holding Nintendo back. They have to have permission from the bank to do anything like all companies do in Japan and they get fundings cut if they don't have a good track record compared to other (Non gaming) companies that make more money
For me, the most honest your are about the brand you're ambassador of, the more passionate you are. It's as simple as that. If you weren't passionate you'd just make content they're happy with, and you wouldn't challenge them to be better and grow

The meaning of passionate is "having, showing, or caused by strong feelings or beliefs". If there was one word to describe you for anything you do on your channel, it would be "Passionate". In the gaming community any emotional reaction is discredited as just saltiness. You do seem less shy about sharing your feelings as time goes on. Don’t let the comments put you in a negative feedback loop. People are gonna people and that’s not always nice. Sometimes people suck.

I’ve always loved Nintendo but they seriously have been taking the lazy route with some games lately, which is why it annoys me that people will ignore that and just say “oh he’s just salty they dropped him” So you can’t have an opinion anymore because they dropped you?

I think it’s incredibly unfair to say that you have to pretend to love what a company does to be a good ambassador. PR is wholly dependent on trust- that’s why there’s an ambassador program to begin with! People trust advertising less and less nowadays and so reviews made by peers are of SUPREME importance. So if you aren’t true to yourself and your opinions when you write a review (and if people notice), that credibility is gone and Nintendo has lost an advertising stream.
All this to say, please don’t beat yourself up over this and blame your own actions for being dropped. Honesty is the best policy, and Nintendo and their brand managers should appreciate that.
I would also distrust channels more who only have one mind about Nintendo games.
Where they say every game is wonderful or where all games are rubbish.
You can say this game is not fore you because it takes 30 hours to just learn the controls. It is why I have Xenoblade 1+2 but never go far there...
But also it is important to say yes this games is really easy, because it is meant to be played by 6 year old and not gamers counted as adults with years of experience.
We can all agree that we all love Nintendo's PRODUCTS, but Nintendo, as a company, is a different topic.

There's this crowd who white knights for Nintendo and will strawman everything anyone says who isn't 100% pure praise of Nintendo. They think anyone who has even the slightest criticism of even one of Nintendo's games, or services, or anything else to do with Nintendo is just salty. They've just found something with Wood that they can refer back to every time to "justify" calling him salty.
Honestly, your honesty is really appealing. I’ve dropped creators over time, and watched new ones, not because the old ones were bad, but because as I grew, I looked for different things. However, I’ve continued watching your channel for a while and even after binging a whole lot of your older videos, I still find you making new thing and continuing being creative and don’t mind waiting however long for your new videos. Even in these types of videos, you are honest and keep it real. You tell us what’s on your mind, you acknowledge things going on in your personal life and tell us the bare minimum you trust us to know about. I never see any cringe, “I know him so well, I’m an older fan,” fans in the comments because you have created a mostly healthy community of trust where you never give anyone information they don’t need. Your videos show effort, creativity , and originality. Opinions everyone has, but when it comes to speaking the truth regardless of the backlash or support I definitely have seen that in your videos . I only found your channel a couple of weeks ago and I’ve stayed watching your videos because you say what you feel, you show your frustrations and all of the joy you find in things and you have fun with it. Watching someone be who they are is much better than watching someone reading off a script that was written by someone else. Not saying that you don’t read off scripts but they are written by you, from your thoughts and feelings not by someone telling you how you should feel about it.

Wood, you’re legitimately one of the most down to earth, nice and honest people I’ve ever seen on RUclips. Usually when people grow in a fan base they change, whether for the good or the bad. I remember finding you in 2017 (or 2018?) while looking for cheap switch games. 😂 And ended up staying.
You’re one of the only ones I’ve seen that have stayed the same, stayed humble and stayed true to yourself. These people just want to bring you down. You’re a wonderful person and I know that other people believe the same.

I am happy I found your channel when I did years ago. You tell it like it is and it's exactly what I want in a content creator. Your passion for games and especially Nintendo and the Switch match my own. The Switch is by far my favorite console of all time and I love that Nintendo has combined their home console and portable market into one amazing console that I can take with me anywhere (literally anywhere). I always check on your videos since I had my nintendo switch 2 years ago, I really like how you interact with your friends and family with nintendo games, buy random nintendo accessories to each other, the must buy game list, the random game bought and play, visit to Japan, your honest review and effort to edit the videos. I never felt you are salty and given bias comment on any games cause I really didn't felt it throughout all of your videos. I really appreciate all your effort and you did your best.
When you're honest you'll always have good and bad to say about something you're passionate about. The reason for calling out the bad is so they know where they might improve next time so you can praise them then. It really isn't hard but unfortunately we live in a world where constructive criticism of anything is a big no-no.

I found your channel right before you were dropped. After the incident, I never felt that you were "salty". It was an unfortunate situation and you have provided opinions on both sides of the spectrum. That's a great thing! There are a lot of people that don't understand criticism. I've been following you for probably over 4 years and I always loved your honest reviews about games. I can't believe there are so many people who think you started hating Nintendo because of the embassador program thing. Out of all the Nintendo content creators I follow or have seen on youtube, you're the one I honestly trust the most, because you've never been afraid of speaking the truth and I also love that you can both criticize a game and enjoy it at the same time, like what happened with sword and shield. Lots of times I just wait for your review before buying a new game, specially with Pokemon, even though it's a franchise I love, but I feel like since Sun and Moon, they have gone a little bit downhill for me. I hope you keep being you and keep your honest, funny and cool videos and reviews, you're the best Nintendo creator on this platform and no one can change my mind ❤
To be fair, an ambassador is supposed to be an intermediary. Sure, they specifically represent a party, but they're also supposed to report back what the other party is saying or feeling about a situation. And the only way you have to report to Nintendo that their customers and fans are unhappy about something is to make a video about it.

You're the only "Nintendo/Switch Person" I watch consistently. I think I've been watching your videos since early 2020, maybe before then. I love that you're honest. The idea that an ambassador shouldn't say anything negative ever really doesn't sit right with me. I have always appreciated your unhindered opinions. I understand that ambassadors should follow rules, but calling out a company (for being greedy or anything else along those lines) is something that I think should be allowed. If you had only made positive videos and never shared any criticisms, that would've come off as dishonest or even fake. This is why I can't stand MissClick or PlayerEssence. I know they're your friends, but the fact they can't say anything and won't say anything bad about a brand because they don't want to lose that "ambassadorship" makes them lose ALL credibility. I mean they go so far as to fight and belittle others that have a differing, negative opinion of Nintendo.
Nintendo is lucky it has the IPs that are amazing. Everything else sucks....voice chat, online store disappearing, emulating old games....etc.

I'd like to gently push back on the idea that having negative things to say about a company automatically disqualifies you from being a good ambassador. Are we really so complacent that we're willing to accept someone that isn't even being paid or compensated needs to mind their words and only post glowing reviews to help The Almighty Brand? To me, passion means trust, and when that trust is broken by greedy tactics or anti-consumer practices, who else but the most ardent fans would care so much? A company doing right by the creators that work with them would be taking that negative feedback as constructive criticism and say, "Alright, what can we do better in the future? Why do you feel the way you do, and if it's something we can fix, how do we fix it?" I can't agree that they did the right thing by dropping and being evasive and uncommunicative, but I can say that it was an ultimately good thing if only so you get to do what you want.
Bro. I have always enjoyed your videos and your energy. Nintendo is one company and this happened way too long ago for people to still be hung up about it. People need to take reviews with a grain of salt and remember that most reviews are made with the content creators opinion in mind. It is up to them to decide whether they like a game or not and yes, reviews are informative, but that's all they are. Information to give you a better opinion on if you should play the game or not. Ultimately, you are doing awesome, keep up the good work, don't worry about the past and continue striving for the future and we will continue to watch your videos, happily. Keep it up.
