- Let's take a look at the traumatic and terrifying experiences of the teenage girls from New Jersey on that fateful trip to the 1995 Soccer Nationals - and how those experiences continue to play out in their adult lives.

As a psych student with complex PTSD, i have found this show so interesting to watch. Loved this analysis
I’d adore to see your read on the second season and how they’ve developed on the psychological aspects of each character especially Lottie!
The gasp of joy I let out when I saw you had a new video up. Yay! Also if you're taking requests I'd love a more in depth analysis of Moon Knight (did love the brief one you did elsewhere and would love more) and I'm sure you're getting tons of requests for The Last of Us. But whatever you do I look forward to watching!
I’m a mental health professional and another great one to review would be the Netflix series called the society. There is a lot of diverse situations in there such as abuse, relational difficulties, identity crises, loss and grief, the antisocial personality spectrum, depression, telling a loved one about a loss they have experienced and seeing - analyzing the expression of sharing the loss and other emotional factors that are positive to analyze such as teamwork, finding and developing healthy connections and coping mechanisms as adolescents in difficult times and taking it one day at a time no matter how many emotions we may feel at once. Great one to break down! Highly recommend!
As a patient of Borderline Personality Disorder and OCD , I would love for you to discuss these illnesses in further detail as well. Great video as always.
I'm surprised you didn't mention Tai's trauma as a child. I think Tai’s issue is also a result of her being very close to her grandmother and watching in horror as her beloved Nana dies while HALLUCINATING some frightening figure. Tai was at a very young and impressionable age and something like that might’ve been traumatic for a small child. Under normal circumstances it might only reappear in an occasional nightmare throughout the rest of her life. However Tai is a driven alpha personality who might be adversely affected by being stuck in a situation where she has little control over her destiny. That wilderness experience (the stress, anxiety, isolation, malnutrition and presumed toxicity in the area) possibly turned the childhood trauma into something much more serious. Agree on the Pica. I had it when I had fibroids and could NOT stop eating/crunching ice all day everyday due to being anemic during that period.
I think Emo dude with no eyes is merely a figment of Tai's imagination. It's also a cool scary image to help send the audience down a "supernatural rabbit hole". Grandma described a figure with no eyes. Note that bro looks like a 80's Brit punk-rock star. Or... what Michael Jackson was morphing into during that period of the mid 80's (to the horror of many of his fans like myself, I'm old). lol
That scary figure is more likely TAI'S INTERPRETATION of her grandmother's hallucination.
You’ve reignited my love for psychology, passion to learn, and strong empathy to help people. I decided to go back to college! I originally wanted to be a psychologist but my parents advised against it and I never completed college. I see an opportunity and I’m going to take it!
I also just want yo know what you think about the Netflix series You.
Absolutely best vid about YJ. I wish more people tuned into this instead of thinking everything is supernatural!
Glad to see you back....would love an analysis of Swarm.
Yesssss!!! This movie was so good but sooo disturbing...it would be an excellent choice for The Doc to review 🙏🙏
Not me watching Yellowjackets in one day after I saw this video upload in order to watch it, definitely not me. 😅
So excited for season 2 of this show. Thank you for offering an analysis of these complicated characters.
Coming here after watching your Wired video, which was just released (2024-05-14), and which you absolutely crushed! Please, make more videos. 👍🏻
Hi Doctor please make more videos
pls make more vds like that, it is better than learning psychology at school
Welcome back! You were missed. Thank you for the analysis.
Thankyou for coming back. For communicating so clearly. You're wonderful.
hi Dr. Eric, will you make more videos in the future? i am already so amazed with your videos and admire your work very much. ☺
Dr Eric!!!!! Thank you for the new video!!!!!! Please keep making more
please come back these videos are so important
Stellar Review and Psychoanalysis of the characters!! 🙌👍👍
I binged all of your videos, you have such a compassionate and clinical way of explaining things, and I'm absolutely hooked. I would love to see you review books, there's one called the Foxhole Court, its a series of three books, I'd be interested to see how you look at each of the characters.
waiting for the caption to understand better!!
thank you for the content, I look forward to your videos, it's always so interesting
suggestion: I don't know if you've watched it but I recommend the series The Bear, the topics about stress and how to deal with grief are very interesting.
Omg i just started the video but just had to say love his glasses!
i would love to see you talk about sharp objects!! i think it’d be really interesting to hear your thoughts on Amma especially
I’m very interested to see how you would handle some of the most challenging situations in 13 reasons why
I hope you could make a video about saltburn!
Hey Dr. Eric I love your videos I hope u can upload soon. I hope you're okay as well
PLEASE DO A VIDEO ABOUT MIDSOMMAR
I love all your videos! I feel like I'm getting therapy watching😂! If you can do a dive on the characters on The Sopranos, I've always been so interested in Livia and her mentality.
I know this video was a while ago! But I’d love to see you do a video on American Psycho on Christian Bales character, Patrick Bateman.
Loved this video! Feel like I know the characters so much better now.
Hi Dr. Bender, could you do a video on Big Little Lies? Thank you so much for publishing your work on here, I really appreciate how thoughtfully you engage with the material.
Does anybody know if Dr. Eric posts videos somewhere else? he would be one of my favourite youtubers. I really wanna learn more from him.
Sopranos next, please! Such a fascinating video series, Dr. B :)
Would love to see you cover “the sandman” series… have loved all your videos both here and on GQ
what a fantastic analysis of these characters! i would love to see you do another yellowjackets analysis, just for the sake of lottie. i find her so interesting!
This is fascinating, thank you for this analysis !
please do an episode about the Scream franchise !!
YAY He's back!!
The king has returned!
I love your videos and you need to have them mention your channel in your mainstream videos for other channels
I subbed a few days ago despite the lack of uploads. I would love for the Sherlock Holmes series to get discussed!
I think it would be interesting to see his review of the movie Hector and The Search for Happiness. Simon Pegg plays a psychiatrist of some sort, who becomes a bit disillusioned with his work. He feels like he's trying to help people find happiness, but he realizes that he isn't really sure what that is. So he goes to China, Africa, and the US (to visit an old girlfriend), trying to find out what happiness means. In the end, he rediscovers his passion for his work, and becomes a much better psychiatrist because of his experiences.
Can I suggest that you review Harold and Maude? Mrs. Chasen is a pretty good example (at least I think) of a narcissist. The common portrayal of a narcissist is a cold blooded superhero villain, but Mrs. Chasen is just a regular person who pays no attention to her kid.
Dr Bender, you should review/ react to the TV show Dexter. It is about a serial killer with a code. It's very interesting. I think you will enjoy it and we would love your input on it.
i'd love to see you tackle mr robot sometime, lots to unpack there lmao
ty for this i love yellowjackets but anyways when i lost my grandma something happened i cant rember and they finall said it was diassociation amnesia can this be better i have a therapist nothing helps i cant leave the house due to the trauma great video im learning
I do wish you could consider disabled people and use captions. Thank you.
Found you on GQ and I had a video request! Can you cover the movie Split with James McAvoy and all of his different personalities. Maybe cover Glass with Samuel L Jackson and Unbreakable with Bruce Willis? They all exist in the same cinematic universe and I would love to see your thoughts and reactions to the characters?
Love these videos so much :) I’d love to see you analyze some characters from the boys tv show
Would love one on bojack horseman!! I get there's alot os seasons, so maybe the one where he adopts hollyhock and they live with his mother?
Insightful content as always!
Hey Doc. New sub. great content! Also, IDK if you edit your own vids, but if you do, nice work!
Keep well,
J from NJ
Process your trauma, or your trauma will process you.
I love your glasses!
Also great video😅
HE’S BACK ✨✨
Can you break down an episode of criminal minds where mental illness is the focus of the unsub??
Can u talk abt what happen if we scroll tiktok too much?Because I feel overwhelmed when I scroll too much.
*GUESS* *WHOSE* *BACK.* *BACK* *AGAIN.*
*YEAH,* *HE'S* *BACK!* *YEAH,* *HE'S* *BACK!*
THANK THE (fire) LORD
Plz do one on HBO's Barry
Thank you for your videos! I’d love to hear your take on Memento and anterograde amnesia. Would that be taken into account for his sentencing?
We just finished season one last night, and your evaluation is so good!I appreciate how you consistently show things are not always black and white, but there are some traits of this and some of that... really helpful content for those of us who have PTSD/CPTSD and/or like to diagnose everyone we don't like as "borderline" or "narcissistic". :) Which may or may not be something I do. I didn't catch the Pica. Ready for the next video, chop chop. 👏👏
Uh huh. So a shrink told me I had C-PTSD caused by the medical industry of a certain time in my life. I had flashbacks, numbness, occasionally emotional outbursts. I had a bout of pain killer abuse which I kicked and fear ever going through again. Apparently I suppressed too much of my actual real emotions during the extended illness to 'be the great patient in order to get great care'. Lots of shame. Lots of anger. Lots of vulnerability. I had bouts of sleepwalking when I was put on sleep aids because I was suffering from serious insomnia which is too hard on the autoimmune diseases. I woke up on a neighbors porch swing, in a field, and in the driveway. So I can't take them. I was extremely driven for a few years to get my degree. It all sucked. I still want to have fun like a young adult (when I was sick) and I'm 42. So I save it for my birthday month (we do things those weekends like family meatball rolling for the next weekend, and D&D prep this year so my birthday weekend will be a full fun game day), and we hit up kid fun plays for other game prep. Why not? An old mentality is what ages you.
Would you do one on new amsterdam and the psych patients they deal with especially with kids
Hi Dr Bender! Just to let you know captions aren't available for this video.
Could you do just edcuational videos on child trama and growing up with abusive parents
I would love a video like this for season 2
you should go over the hunger games!
I think Misty has some traits of being a psychopath. I will be curious about how her background will unfold in later seasons. Maybe I’ll change my mind. But yeah, definitely cluster B even though we don’t use clusters anymore.
PLEASE DO THE SQUID AND THE WHALE!!!!
Isn't he look like Matt Smith? The 11th Doctor?
Anyone watch Season 2?
Barely relevant but I love his glasses
Im starting undergrad at 32 years old , even if that means being a psychiatrist at 44, I don't care.
Tyessa, has did and cptsd. She also Has new alter is pushing to take over from the trigger of stress and the feelings from the past. The sleepwalking (catatonic) is before a new alter presents it’s self. I’m curious how many alters she has total.
i came here from GH and i suppose this is an old channel...
Hi, thanks for checking out the channel. I am hoping to get some more videos out in the near future. Please stay tuned! Thanks.
Misty is a sociopath
Have you ever seen The walking dead? Quite similar but from a different perspective because you're trying to survive.
Great vid, but I do disagree with not diagnosing teens with BPD. Was diagnosed at 14, and fits very well. 19 now and definitely have bpd
I have noticed that you do not respond in any way to ANY of of the remarks made . Is there a reason for this? I recommend you listen to some classical music and seriously consider your motivation. Love to see you analyze characters on "Survivor" perhaps instead of an acted scenario for consumer entertainment.
YAY
Hi, I love your work, could you please analyse Ted Bundy's jail interviews? Thanks a lot 🙏🏻
❤
I'm gonna harass Dr Bender till he caves in and reviews Hannibal TV Series. I mean the question is on everyone's mind: does psychic driving exist?
Oh yes yes yes!
She gives me Angel of death vibes
Are u taking new patients
He's in demand with GQ. Doubtful
Make a video about ‘BEEF’
I'd love to see you explain what is going on with basically everyone on House of the Dragon. Those Targaryen kids need all the help they can get. 🫣
Please review bojack horseman! 🥹
so happy to see that you posted a new video doctor bender! hope to see more soon
