Dimash would NEVER claim to “outsinging ” Celine Dion. He is extremely humble, and Celine is one of his idols.
that goes for anyone he covers. he doesn't want to "copy" or "outsing" the original artists because they're the reason why he is a singer today. he honestly hates being compared to certain singers because he doesn't want to be put on the same level when they're the inspiration behind him. he's always so respectful and humble to every artist.

Honestly as a BIG big fan... like I'm not sure if there is a concert.... or live performance I haven't seen of his... but I completely get what you are saying. This performance is one of my least favorite of his. I understand where you are coming from. I still enjoy the end as you do but he is not Celine Dion. I saw Titanic in theaters with my parents and I remember the song playing and Dimash didn't give me the same feeling. There is a reason why people consider her one of the best vocalists of our generation. I really got the feels from her performance but to be fair, the thing I will always appreciate about Dimash is his musicality. He really understands dynamics. When to be quiet, when to get loud, how much to emphasize a note... he's truly a virtuoso. I've played guitar for over 20 years and I could never stop appreciating his overall musicianship. That's what I enjoyed the most. The way he changed the end to put his mark on the song and that moment at 12:17. The twirl gives me goosebumps every time because it's on beat lol.

The reason why you didn’t feel that in the beginning is because to make it different and make it his own, he started in a lower octave and then he went up to another octave. You will not hear a woman’s voice because he’s a man Lol! C’mom, tell me what man vocalist can sing a Celine song like that...I will like to hear Celine singing one of his songs in which he goes deep and all the way up Lol!! Dimash can do it all.
At the time he sung this, he didnt speak english at all, only singing in english. Try one of his kazakh songs to sing along, and you will have a glimpse how hard it can be without having any speaking practice in a language.
I really appreciate the effort he takes to sing something in so many languages (he sings in 12 languages), and i was totally blown away as i heard him sing in my language (german).
What i learned in terms of Dimash: Just open your heart to the music and the emotions he is conveying, and you dont need any words. Every time Dimash is singing I just want to feel and turn up the volume, that is what makes me happy every day since i know dimash. Greetings from Germany o/

Приветствую вас. Я конечно же поклонник творчества Димаша и проживаю в Казахстане, но не думаю что, Селин Дион в 1997 году когда вышел фильм "Титаник" она исполнила эту композицию также как наверно вы думаете, допустим в 2016 году и т.д. Важно, учитывать и возраст великолепной певицы. Естественно, разницу 1997 года и спустя двадцать лет слышно и это уверен видят в Ютубе и другие люди. Поэтому, считаю что нет необходимости сравнивать версию нашего дорого Димаша и выступление этой же песни в исполнении Селин Дион спустя двадцать лет. Это некорректно. Если я правильно понял ваши комментарии. Если нет, то извиняюсь.

It's actually an Eric Carmen song which Celine covered along with many others. Dimash didn't deviate much from the original version on this one. He teaches patience, he tells the audience to sit back and enjoy, savor every note...tysm🤗

Maybe by this time you should listen to some of his Chinese or his Kazakh songs, because you will not know the original and will not be distracted by his pronunciation. Autumn Strong from I am a singer 2017, Daybreak from his Bastau concert ( this is based on a true story that you should research to enjoy it to the fullest).From his Kazakh songs I can recommend Unforgettable Day ( I am a singer 2017), Daididau ( Bastau), or Qairan Elim.

Please react to 'Daybreak' at his Bastau concert. Its a song written about a tragic cable car accident in China. A mother and father held their 2 year old baby up so rescuers could grab him before it fell. That little boy was the only survivor because of his mummy and daddy. A singer adopted him and wrote Daybreak. When you watch Dimash sing it, it will braak you heart. I know that you know Dimash is a superstar and you have a lot to watch but this song is something else. It blew me away.
Dimash is not about high notes all the time. He puts his heart and soul into every song. He is living in it.... he also NEVER tried to outshine anybody... he has DEEP respect for his fellow artists. And he teaches us, his fans - Dears, to respect the work of every artist. And we do! Love him to bits...

Dimash has a lot of admiration for Celine Deion and I think he is showing a lot of respect and maybe even some restraint by not trying to overshadow the original. Just because songs are in English doesn't mean you will feel more passion. To me English songs lack a lot of sincerity because of the lack of value to things that can't be bought. Also it's funny how quick the songs that are sung by Dimash are summed up as to the outcome, even though he always surprises us. Thank for your great reaction as always.

I just had a look back at the Dimash songs you've covered and noticed some of the ones missing that would fill in gaps of understanding. BEFORE you react to Olimpico (Ogni Pietra) you should listen to "The Show must go on", "Opera 2", "Daybreak" (Note: MUST have English subtitles for you to understand the emotion of this song. I's a true story and a tear jerker) and, my personal favourite English language song, "Adagio". All are from the singing contest "I am a Singer" contested in China. The show turned Dimash into an International Star. Cheers.
