+Moritz Velten Thanks! 641 - 648 were built in the 1980s by East Lancs, which was a company that built bodywork for buses. In fact there are still many buses with East Lancs bodywork in Blackpool Transport's fleet. So the styling and some components were similar to buses built in that era. Also these trams were designed for one person operation, with their door positions being similar to a bus (except that the trams are double ended).
