By the way you can just leave the room when Ultra Greed spawns, so it isn't an instant loss. Thanks for showcasing this item! Probably one of my favorite of the Wave one item reworks.
Actually - no. The door in the video was open because I teleported inside via the debug console. The doors remain closed if it happens normally. And it even transforms into Ultra Greedier on Hard Mode.

There's so many modded dice items already that we're now resorting to synonyms for naming them
surprised the positive effects are so weak if the negatives contain (albeit almost all avoidable) run enders. Like it's got more charges than dead sea scrolls yet its best effects are generating an extra shop once in your entire run (with an equivalent chance of ending your run right then and there because even by mausoleum 2 my ass is not beating claustrophobic ultra greedier consistently) and a d6, and the worst a sea scroll can do is anarchist cookbook which is usually good. Heck it's hard to justify any item with a chance to just blast you into the error room, but at least the chance is high enough that if you never use it for anything else you can run into a shop and use it at the end of a floor to try to roll either a free item or error, but 2 whole floors where using it is immediately run ending, and far more than that if you're going for a completion mark in particular is utterly devastating

Ultra Greed spawning in place of Greed in the shop is honestly rather thematic - it could be seen as you trying to be greedy by attempting to skip Greed and instead get an upgraded shop instead, and Ultra Greed is punishing you for that.

Yep, pretty much Shop or game over.
Base 50:50 odds would only be appropriate for an item with infinite charges. After all, active item uses are supposed to be a reward for clearing rooms, and so using an active item should be a net positive. With 3 charges, I would go with base odds of 70:30 good:bad.
Another way they could rework this is by changing the 'bad' outcomes into outcomes that are bad for isaac, but actually good for the player. That's in-line with the theme of the game. Becoming afflicted with a disease lemegeton wisp, or getting a tears up, or spawning poops. Creating champions, but then letting the champions drop their pickup drops. Etcetera.

@@tiburones202 crooked penny dont teleport you to error room or summon ultra greed. It cant damage isaac and only despawn items from current room. With upside of diplopia and chance of destroing items it feels like a good gamble

Nope, it's just a regular enemy that can be fought. You won't get any Greed-related unlocks that way.
This is way too random to even consider using it for the effects with conditions to meet

Nothing much. Just a regular room clear reward. That is, if you also beat the Ultra Greedier phase.
