Side note about the Oompaville situation: He still had money outside of the money he gave to the scammer. Still a bit of a dumb financial choice to trust the scammer so much without much of any evidence, but the scammer was an actual con man who probably scammed other people and businesses before. Certainly a lot less dumb then throwing life savings at internet money.
Edit: He didn't actually dramatize his financial loss in an effort to bait a guilty response from the scammer, or at least I cannot find any evidence of that occurring. He still had more money than he let the scammer know as a way to get out of making another payment.
Not to mention, Oompa can at least make fun of himself for it and not become a raging idiot.
On top of that he got scammed while trying to START a business. Not a get rich quick crypto grab that blew up in his face.
The scammer had a legit business. Scam isn't really the right word. It was more fraud. Cause the guy failed to deliver the product he said he would build for Oompa.

I'm kind of surprised at how angry and aggressive people like Sensitive, Acheeto, and even Optimus were getting during a verbal confrontation with someone like Jalyn, who is not at all intellectually intimidating.
Tom is way more mature and graceful with his energy and intentions than he should be for his age.
They were mad cringe the entire conversation. The issue is the same as with Jalyn, they get too emotional about their thoughts (live; videos are a different story) and when anyone at all disagrees they hit the big mad button.

I think it's a defense mechanism to avoid being vulnerable, and I don't even blame her, she obviously feels like the commentary community is out to get her, which a lot of it genuinely is. If you actually talk to her behind the scenes in good faith for long enough, she'll open up to you and is one of the nicest people. I'm not defending everything she's ever said, but I do believe that she genuinely has a good heart deep down inside.

It's more about having self destructive ideations due to being emotionally stunted/ mentally ill more than a humiliation fetish. I've seen this exact same scenario play out in people so many times, most commonly among teenagers with behavioral issues (i.e., narcissists or those with oppositional defiance disorder, BPD, etc.), drug addicts, and non-binary/ gender fluid people.

I knew someone once who was on a medication and one of the side effects was that it blocked their puberty. The doctor took them off it on their 16 birthday - they looked 10 at the time. Their growth is stunted and they still act like a child at 30. Yeah based on that - I’ve got concerns. Puberty isn’t just physical it’s mental and emotional maturity too.

Jalyn is so thick when it comes to grooming kids to be trans. Yes it happens and plenty have come out recently to discuss how they were groomed into it and how it never felt right which is exactly what the gay people who went through conversion therapy said about trying to be straight.
You can groom/influence people into doing just about anything but that doesn't mean it is who they are at their core and it almost always ends up with the people going back to the way they were before they were groomed/influenced. Kids are highly influential, if you put a kid to be raised by an angry person they’re probably gonna turn out to be similar. This isn’t how it is all the time, but chances are there are a lot of kids who get influenced and don’t go back to how they were simply for the fact they’ve already wrapped their head around being who they were influenced into being. Another thing is it’s easy to say someone can just revert to how they were before, but it’s not so simple. If their body is already altered, it can be hard because it can feel like it’s already too late. Especially if surgery has already happened.

Permanent body modification has always been a thing, for cosmetic reasons, for body enhancement reasons, for medical reasons, etc.
Some people who get these sorts of modifications do regret it and wish they never did them. Some love that they did them and love their body and themselves more because of it.
Yes, undoing some of these modifications *can* have negative effects. That's why it's extremely important to be 100% sure that you want those modifications before getting them and informed of the risks you take if you choose to undo them later down the line. That's why we have written rules about what needs to happen before gender affirming surgery takes place, like amount of time spent feeling dysphoria, certain things you need to grow beforehand, etc. The fact that some doctors bypass these rules is another problem in itself that we seriously need to fix, but it doesn't de-legitimize gender affirming surgery itself. The same goes for the problem of certain individuals grooming children into it.
If a trans person is above the age of medical consent and is fully and completely aware of what could happen should they detransition, all of the risks, and they still want to go for a surgery, I see no reason why anyone should have a problem with that.
I don't support Jaelyn, but Acheeto's opinion here is dumb.

I’m queer and pro-trans rights, but I won’t support any trans content creator who belittles or won’t acknowledge detransitioners. It DOES happen, everyone has different life experiences, and I have no patience for people choosing and willingly deciding to stay ignorant of such a fact.

im trans and ive met a couple people who detransitioned due to multitude of reasons and their stories matter a lot, but i think its okay to discount people who use it as a grifting opportunity i.e. oli london. (who was never transgender to begin with) a lot of twitter leftists will discount people who disagree with them but any reasonable person knows personally attacking someone over their life experience is wrong no matter what side of the fence they are on because these issues are very complex.

the problem with a lot of the talking points in this whole stream is that they discuss topics that are so individualized and should really have so much more nuance than they are actually given in the stream that many of these points can be argued back and forth and no one would get anywhere even if a proper debate were to be held. Acheeto especially was making asking very open questions that could have a multitude of legitimate responses and then saying "it's a very simple question; yes or no answer," like dude not only is that not how it works but he's also not giving any room for a proper response and giving neither the question nor the answerer the respect they are due, regardless of if you completely disagree with them or not.

It's not reasonable to make bad faith arguments that aren't based in reality like repeatedly trying to assert that 8 year olds are being castrated. Nobody is doing gender affirming surgeries on young kids.

Most people have inclinations towards certain ideas, but that doesn't necessarily mean they are groomed.
On the side of trans you can only make two arguments, being not all trans people do it or that it doesn't happen. They tried both of those then deflected because those are both bad arguments that don't address the actual issue, being that it is happening. They even hold these beliefs in the face of evidence, coming from exposed hospitals, individuals, and testimonials from medical staff, family, detransitioners and other trans people.
I guess a third argument on the side of trans is that the grooming is good, which is a harder point to make but is also brought up in the video.
In regards to the "pipeline" part of the right wing argument, I would put forth the same argument that some people are inclined to how far they are willing to go towards one side.
I consider myself to be on the right, and have watched a lot of videos through the "pipeline" and have found the opinions that I disagree with, Nick Fuentes being one of them. I've done the same with the left and found my cutoff as well, being Hasan and his like.

The puberty blockers discussion is so mind numbing. Yes, puberty blockers are reversible when used for precocious puberty, their intended purposes. But used off-label for GD we have no idea and there are not enough studies to say if effects are reversible. Multiple European countries have paused their use now including Norway, Sweden, UK because there is a lack of data. To say that they're safe and reversible is just not true. We don't know if they are. There are concerns it can stunt brain development in particular if they miss natural puberty, as well as the case of Jazz Jennings who was 100% harmed by them. These activists have no facts, that's why they call everyone a Nazi or transphobe to distract from that.
Not to mention that the Tavistock clinic scandal in the UK showed many doctors just threw puberty blockers at kids who were often gay or autistic, who would benefit from therapy to talk through their confusion, and almost all the time if a kid starts on puberty blockers they'll move on to hormones because they want to see the process through. That route is almost certainly going to lead to lifelong infertility. It's harmful to willy nilly throw puberty blockers at kids, especially with such a huge crossover between autism and gender dysphoria.

We literally live in a society where the Catholic Church treats exorcisms infinitely more scientifically than trained professionals in the field of medicine. No one is exhaustively researching the situation before writing a prescription. I went through a series of devastating events and ended up seeking help because I was so emotionally fucked that I was just done. At one point I was on 8 different medications, one of them costing just my insurance company nearly $2000 for a 30 day supply and all it did was amplify the effects of another medication by about 20%. The medication it was amplifying cost less than $30 for a 30 day supply, combined between me and my insurance, The doctor could have safely increased that primary medications dosage by 20 times and the cost for a 30 day supply would still have been below $100. I was basically on a micro dose of a drug and rather than even marginally increasing it, they chose to prescribe a medication that was never necessary and was insanely expensive. And this same doctor sees people specifically for "identity" issues of various types.
Well, the Catholic Church has always said that science is tue greatest tool to understand God's creation so them being meticulous in their exorcisms is standard (I mean the amount of red tape and rules you have to follow is actually insane)
Compared to a doctor when you discuss gender for one nano second recommending you a bunch of experimental treatments that will leave you as a permanent consumer of said pharmaceutical products.
