I have a question: If Jesus was symbolized by the scape goat, why did the priest have to cast lots to determine which goat was the Lord’s? In addition, the scapegoat was not sacrificed. Jesus died for our sins on a cruel cross, he was not led away and left to die.
Why? Because neither goat was technically "guilty", and this way it took the appearance of judgment away from the one performing the SYMBOLIC sacrifice.

Maybe your have more insight on this, but here's my thoughts after studying teachings of Ellen and listening to former adventists who came to faith. it's because their false prophet demands they be loyal to the Sabbath day to get into heaven. And the ultimate enemy of the true Adventist is the Christians who gather on Sundays (the day of the resurrection, ironically), according to Ellen G White. Ellen paints a picture of how Sunday gathering believers (who she referred to as Babylon in revelation) will ultimately persecute and hunt down all the loyal Sabbath keepers. She taught that keeping the Sabbath was the seal of god, and worship on Sunday will be the mark of the beast. The passage in revelation has nothing to do with loyalty to a day but selling your soul (by worshiping the image and receiving the mark) for short lived security and false hope, or refusing the mark and clinging to Christ even at the cost or your life. As Paul said, to live is Christ, to die is gain. In short, Ellen G White proved in her writing that she hated the true church. Ellen G White hated the true gospel. And she wanted to make sure her followers never believed the true gospel. And that's why the adventist knee jerk reaction is the ten commandments, especially Sabbath keeping. There were also taught by her to be loyal to Sabbath day, for God is in heaven right now judging them on whether or not they keep the ten commandments (they call this the investigative judgment), especially the Sabbath. But there is hope bc I grew up Adventist and I was told Ellen G white quotes and doctrines as if they were in the Bible. I was so young that I think I remember asking if she was a woman in the Bible lol. My family was heavily involved in the SDA church growing up, and some of them still are till this day. I remember joining a Bible study with a group of non SDA girls and they showed me scriptures, showing me that we were not commanded to keep the sabbath, and despite the scriptures making sense, I just couldn’t accept it. The doctrine of the sabbath was so ingrained in me since I grew up that It felt like these girls were trying to lead me astray. I experienced cognitive dissonance. This led me to a very painful shipwreck season of confusion and destruction in my life. I lost almost everything, and suffered terribly, it was then that I started to understand the gospel. At a moment where I experienced a lot of destruction, and despite all my efforts, I couldn’t "save myself" no matter what I did. I needed a Savior. I didn’t realize I mostly saw Jesus as Lord, (Lord of commands), and not as the Kind, Patient, Loving Savior He is. God saved me out of seventh day adventism. It was very painful but He removed the veil that were over my eyes and I was finally able to read the Bible, with the correct interpretation. The books of Galatians and Hebrews really helped!!! He did it for me, He can deliver SDAs from Ellen G white’s bewitchment. I pray the Truth sets them free!!!!
