I’ve been dealing with this Jezebel situation for 7 years amen and this is good for me amen I’ve been waiting on this for such a long time. I have plenty on my plate amen prophetic word that the devil is just fighting so much amen but I will wait on the Lord amen!
The first sign of a jezebel spirit to me is a strong and overbearing personality. Remain in their presence too long and watch them eventually try to take over your soul.

I was with my husband for 35 years.
I always felt that something was wrong with him.
I began to go into deep pray with GOD IN 2017.
I prayed and paryed and waited on the LORD.
5 YEARS LATER 2022 GOD BEGAN TO ANSWER MY PARYERS.
SLOWLY HE BEGAN TO GIVE ME SIGNS.
I STILL WAITED AND PRAYED DAILY.
SURE ENOUGH THE DAY CAME THAT THE LORD GAVE ME PHYSICAL EVIDENCE...CONDOMS.
I WENT TO OUR PASTOR AND HELD HIM ACCOUNTABLE.
HE DIDN'T LIKE THAT ONE BIT.
I HAD CALLED HIM OUT ON HIS BEHAVIOUR.
OF COURSE HE DENIED EVERYTHING.
BUT GOD HAD EYES TO SEE EVERYTHING,
AND CONTINUED TO SHOW MORE AND MORE SIGNS.
THAT WAS 4 MONTHS AGO.
HUSBAND HAS NOW LEFT HIS FAMILY, AS IF WE NEVER NEW EACH OTHER.
WE CONTINUE TO PRAY FOR HIM AS A FAMILY OF GOD.
GOD KNOWS EVERYTHING AND I AM SURE HE SEES THIS ALSO.
I HAVE HANDED HIM OVER TO THE LORD.
THIS IS OUT OF MY CONTROL.
I BELIEVE THAT HE IS ERITHER A NARCISSISTS OR HAS THE JEZEBEL SPIRIT MAYBE BOTH.
I DONT ALLOW ANYMORE CONTROL OR ABUSE IN MY LIFE.
I TOOK BACK MY OWN LIFE AS GOD DIDN'T WANT ME TO BE CONTROL BY ANYONE.

Destroyed my marriage and other marriage.
Destroyed my business.
Relationship. I am in a bad Divorce. my husband of 25 years as gone from being a Chaplin to a President of a 1% motorcycle club.
Wanting to kill me and my sister. My husband started taking something to loss weight in September I don't find out tell middle of January.
The last 6 weeks have been no fun.
Got Security cameras up and calling the police alot.

Excellent sermon!! Many churches are dealing with a “Jezebel spirit” and some of the individuals who have that spirit even control the minister and elders!! Weak leadership can allow sinister persons to even be in leadership positions!! It can wreak havoc on innocent persons!! Yes. Happened to us specifically about me and my character then I set boundaries and the smear and accusations started flooding in. Still going over a year of social media post of lies and deceit and playing victim. Just managed to pull through it but I sought good leadership to help me identify the spirit and cut it off hence now the anger and rage we are getting from this person. I was at the front line of the abuse and I’m thankful it didn’t get past me. It attacked others but I was able to be their example to help them process these attacks and stand firm and pray with them also.
the Bible says we are supposed to submit to our husbands and our relationship is supposed to be like the relationship between Jesus and the church Ephesians 5:22-33

Oh but this is not what Evans teaches at all !!!! His shared control stuff in marriage is just plain demonic .
He never teaches us to be submissive to our husbands in everything , he teaches just the opposite.
Submission does not mean to be a door mat or live in fear. Most people don't understand what biblical submission means.

We all have operated and can operate in the Jezebel spirit....knowing your negative capabilities and how to keep them in check is first step to spiritual maturity....if someone says they havent ....dont trust them as a leader...

Very well explained after I was approached by one that I have to now inform after 2 short conversations, “I can’t help you” after using manipulation to try to control me before I have even met her in person. I kept asking myself each time, “Heavenly Father of Nazareth what is this, and I was told it’s a Jezebel Spirit.” However, thanks for telling me to stand up because I was just going to dismiss her without speaking up, but that’s the only way to oppress that type of spirit….

Christians who treasure their sins have a jezabel spirit.
Hypocrites claim a belief in Jesus, but they don't follow him.
Jesus said, "Go and sin no more." The majority of his followers contradict him.
Some even mock at the command that he gave us to live by.
Jesus did not make mistakes in the language he used, yet countless Christians feel that it is their duty to correct him. Many even say that he didn't mean that, or he meant to say something else. They will even use his own bible scriptures against him to try and prove him wrong.
It takes a lot of arrogance to challenge his authority, and those who do will be counted among his enemies. Those who reject his word reject him.
Romans 1:28-32
"And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting; being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers, backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful; who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them."
Jesus said, "Go and sin no more." Hypocrites contradict Jesus. They say that sinning, even daily, is a normal part of Christian life, and it is even expected of us all. They know nothing about the work of the Holy Spirit to transform us to righteousness, and if they are told, they deny it.

"For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear.
They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.

In my life I have seen that men want to have control, and do not want God to have control. A woman with prophetic gifts and a call to preach and teach the truth under the anointing of the Holy Ghost is seen as a threat to men’s domination and desire to control .
What too many ministers do is use a sermon on the Jezabel spirit to squelch what they perceive as an attack from within their own church family or within their own family or marriage. It is also misperceived often as "women trying to take control away from men" and as such, sermons are used to brow-beat and guilt-trip good Christian women. I am amazed that so many pastors never consider that a female may simply be acting as a good Berean and questioning his interpretation of Scripture, in order to reach a deeper understanding of it. I think oftentimes men are afraid of women and afraid to treat them as equals under God, even though it is undeniably true Jesus elevated the status of women. So the spirit of Pride keeps them from mirroring how Jesus treated women and they misuse scripture to protect their status and punish women. THAT is using the Bible and their position exactly as the Pharisees did. Their power and authority were what they would not give up and their "traditions" were created to serve their power and authority. So anyone questioning that (or wrongly perceived as questioning Pharisitical authority) was singled out for banishment from the Temple or elimination. God never intended men and women to be adversaries. The adversarial relationship began at the Fall. And the roles and duties for each had to be set down because that was the only way to make the best of a very bad situation. I only pray that pastors examine their own behavior first and study again how the Church as the Bride of Christ is reflected in marriage. Men are to cherish their wives as gifts and treat them like their own flesh, including protecting them at all costs. If women in your church are asking a LOT of questions, it may be because the men are not living up to their role. "Putting women in their place" only serves to alienate more within the Church. No wonder it has become Laodicean now at the End Time.
I agree with you Patty. I am a single women and been feel this way and struggle with finding a spiritually mature man who doesn't think your controlling but wise and being heirs together.

I have been to too many male dominant churches where men, even those walking in the sins of pride, arrogance, porn and addiction want full control. I have seen churches where sexual abuse of children was being hidden and covered over all the while women were exploitedly told to keep a gentle and quiet spirit. This is total misuse of the Word. I have seen so much of it that I can discern it after walking into a fellowship after two or three weeks of attendance. It's rampant and it's sad.

No, it does not. Look up the original Hebrew meaning from a Strong’s concordance under Strong’s H8669 and you’ll find it doesn’t say what Evans says it does.
The word there means “desire, longing, craving”. Not one single thing about “to control” there.
Why do ministers mislead their congregation by saying the Bible says or means something that it does not?

So, there are those with the Jezebel spirit and then those with the characteristics. That sounds reasonable and biblical. If you are viciously opposing the spirit of Jezebel working in someone, then why would you throw the baby out with the bathwater by showing them to the door? are they not redeemable? are you setting a boundary so they can consider their behavior? We wrestle not against flesh and blood but against principalities and wickedness in high places. That means that the person doing the complaining is not the enemy, but the spirit behind it. So, why show the person to the door? your brother or sister? they are not redeemable? why not show the demon to the door and lead the person to repentance? or am I missing something here? What about bless those who persecute you? Love conquers all, not exercising your 'spiritual authority' and deciding the person should leave. If you cannot overcome evil with good in your own members, how do you expect anyone to be added to you? Please I want to know. Please explain this to me. Or is this seen as divisive and controlling to even question what you are saying? to even be honest about how it comes across and seeking to understand it? does that make me manipulative? controlling? or just someone who wants to know? The answer is: we discern the spirits. I just want to know. I think that I understand why you would show the person to the door, but then it raises questions. I know scripture says do not let division stay around, but if this person has an illness from a traumatic childhood and the control and manipulation is all they know, then who will save them? wouldn't it be loving to be patient with them, bind up the strong man, and redeem the person through the ministry of the Holy Spirit? Sounds like God is the only one that could redeem and save a Jezebel spirited person because everyone is afraid of them. But I don't think it should be this way. Am I making any sense? So, someone with the Jezebel spirit cannot be saved if they want to repent? especially after we bind up the demon strong man-wouldn't that be loving to do? Seems like both are true: remove them from disrupting and continue to pray and reach out to the person. But I know some take a lifetime to heal from their trauma and control issues. And the grace of God, which is held in higher regard than the law, would be increased to them because of how much more damaged they are than all the other upstanding and righteous folks of the church. They need a Doctor. Doctor Jesus. God even saves some of these tough cases.
