Dana fumbled this one spectacularly. Dropped the ball. After all the months of secrecy and speculation, we get this. It's an ok fight, but nowhere near 300 main event caliber. What a disappointment.

Dana failed in his promise of what we the fans would feel when this fight was announced! It's not a wow feeling and my mouth is not left wide open! It's a good fight which should take place on ufc 301 in Brazil but Dana you ran out of options and made it 300 such a shame

Headlining the main card of UFC 300 should be fighters with real name recognition and a media presence. It's just good business. This fight is interesting and it would be fine as the main event of any other PPV but not UFC 300 after all the hype and anticipation.

Imagine an alternate universe in which Dana White isn't an incompetent sociopath who struggles to run his business even as it's a near monopoly. It's UFC 300. The most iconic event in MMA history. Francis Ngannou headlining. Islam Makhachev in the co-main. Volkanovski, O'Malley, Poirier, Gaethje, Chandler, Chimaev, all appearing on a 7-fight main card. Boggles the mind.
If you're going to go hard, make UFC 300 a two day event like Wrestlemania. Two separate cards so more fighters can get on it. Win win.

It may be or a one sided beat-down leading to a KO within 2 rds in favor of Hill. JH's boxing is so much better than Poatan's sh may not look pretty in there for Alex unless Mahal hasn't fully recovered. Pereira has the striking advantage tho but Jamahal's striking is exceptional, look at his fights.

Guys if u spent time actually thinking what possible events were available for the 300 main event u would come to the conclusion that it had to be a LHW title fight, pereira hill or pereira ankalaev, all the other weight class events were already booked

Let's campaign to make it the least sold event in history.
UFC 300 Main Event just dropped & i'll be the first to say, if Hill's leg is near 100% & he's back healthy, he will KO Poatan in the 1st-2nd rd. Alex's boxing is not like that. His boxing defense is nearly non-existent even after the Izzy KO in which JH has better boxing than Izzy. AP also doesn't move his head often. Pereira is confused when combos are thrown at him especially in the pocket & Hill's bread n butter is that. He often stares or tries to parry to block. Also doesn't have anything off the backfoot aside from a left hook or a 1-2.
Alex has the better striking but Mahal has exceptional striking which can hang with the best of them. JH's boxing is better almost all-around if not all. I guarantee anyone if JH has recovered, he will end things early simply due to the big skill gap in the boxing. He also has one punch KO power to go with it. Some ppl actually don't know that Mahal hits harder than Alex. He also has a better chin than him as well, barely gets hit & never been wobbled even tho he was caught by some bombs by guys like Santos, & Glover.
Mahal's also pretty good everywhere, needa see more of his wrestling tho. Grappling is solid. Alex's grappling is solid as well. There will be no takedowns shot in this fight. JH openly said he wouldn't, & that he will go for the finish & we know how Pereira's coming, just🎆waiting to happen.
Hill is probably the most underrated fighter in the UFC & the most underrated P4P puncher in the sport. There's a reason why they call him "Sweet Dreams", this fight will show that. Injured or not, Hill always game. Came back rlly fast from a severely distorted arm in the Craig fight & became champ.
Y'all will see just how underrated Hill is in this fight on the feet if he's 100% Those who don't know Jamahal, he never has a boring fight & neither does Alex. Both ALWAYS go for the finish. This fight is a CERTIFIED BANGER!
Sweet Dreams vs Poatan 2 of some of the sports hardest hitters, P4P [hence their nicknames] & it's guaranteed to be on the feet. Can't wait for this sh. It will be fun while it lasts.

Push McGregor's comeback up to 300, like he wanted. Hes put on a ton of weight and wants to fight at 170 or 185 now.
GSP is about to return to active competition, but only in grappling. Throw a BAG at him to get him to make his return in MMA instead. A blown up McGregor would be a dream opponent for him and the 300 main event is a mouthwatering opportunity.
