I would think that the careful routine would be so important in doing this line of work. A place for everything and everything in it's place. Sort of comforting in this very chaotic world. Also the personal items make the space yours. So it's not a lifeless space. Nice sounding guitar, by the way! Here in the US the routes are mostly freeways, usually with little to look at. Your route looked like small towns and countryside. All around, it seems like not a bad gig, indeed! Cheers, man!
You are correct, you have to get this down to a science and lead a disciplined lifestyle. I did some trucking going back and forth between the US and Canada last year and had a great time, I did it exactly the way this guy did it and its the only way to handle the stress and enjoy yourself. I would correct you in one aspect though, trucking in the US can be fun, specially if you are driving in the west coast...the scenery is beautiful! But you have to be disciplined or you won't even find a parking spot at the end of the day!
