@DarkKnux09 Actually, the Dark Force/Profound Darkness connection is cannon--Rykros entering the Algol system every 1000 years coincides with the weakening of some weird seal or other that allows a fragment of PD to enter Algol (eg, DF). Dunno about the 'using Alys' body' thing (although that did happen, to an extent, with Zio, and to a greater extreme, Seth), but all this means is: WE. NEED. PHANTASY. STAR. FIVE. Not 'Online', but FIVE.
Yes sage it is cannon, its how the humans made it to algol in phantasy star 2. The wormhole they went threw not only travel threw space but also threw time.
That's the problem with time involved story lines. Still 4 as a stand-alone....woah. Good questions. Zio/Seth are perfect examples of weaklings overtaken by PD and Alys and Rune are examples of the opposite....yet the interloper cares for the entities of good while PD uses and throws aside....which is its/her/his undoing. Alas. DF much stronger than PD. Happens.
@@joryneff9511 We'll never know with Seth. He's thought to be a fully evolved DF, so much it can infiltrate the world of mortal beings. He does show up all of a sudden and has no connections with anyone after all.

@DarkKnux09 So did I! It kinda makes sense, so why not. But I think that the women on the title screen of II are just supposed to be what the peoples of Algol imagined "Mother Brain" to look like, since no one ever seemed to have laid eyes on it. And because no one knew the location, perhaps they believed MB was omnipresent as well.
Its a huge throwback to every game, really. Not only Alis and Alys, who is close to Rune and Chaz, but Mother brain as well. It's taking a shape formed from the malice, pain, hatred, and anguish in the heroes' hearts. A form derived from millennia of battle that has the most impact on the hearts of those who would stand before it.
it's also not easy if you don't powerlevel before or inside of the fissure. Everybody falz-farmed or do all of the hunter guild missions first, so you do TPD when you're somewhat overleveled.
