- Let’s take a journey through time, where glamor and nostalgia intertwine. These captivating images capture the essence of Old Hollywood's golden age. But here's the catch: these photographs have never seen the light of editing.
From enchanting portraits to candid moments captured on set, here are 60 unedited photos from old Hollywood that need your attention!
I’ll admit it- I used to think of John Ritter (Famous film cowboy TEX RITTER’s Son by the way) as a run of the mill comedy and almost slapstick performer but I was GOBSMACKED by his beautiful, gentle and hauntingly nuanced portrayal of Vaughn in SLINGBLADE. Gone too soon.
I have to say, I am so very happy this video has all new photos! Nothing I despise more than a video which touts itself as, "all new, unseen before, untouched", blah, blah, blah. And, they are the same old same old. As a 60-something, these photos are refreshing and brought great, big, humongous smiles to my face as I wandered through the past I love. Thank You, Thank You, Thank you!
The personal side that stars want to share, but there agents won't let them. Great collection of images... As goofy as it sounds, I love the old pre-war glamor shots that you can buy in souvenir in Hollywood. Many of those women were extremely beautiful and look absolutely fantastic even in black-and-white glossy photographs. I used to shun these souvenirs as cheap tokens, but these were really the best of the best the industry ever produced.
My brother & I stood in line with our dad for at least 2 hrs just to see Star Wars. I had a miniature R2D2 with me. It was awesome to wait and finally get to see it. I still love Star Wars today
Loved John Ritter's comedy and his smile. He certainly was a comedic icon. He's still missed a lot.
I remember having a purple chopper bike in 1980 when I was 7 years old. I loved that bike.
This video is amazing!! Thank you so much!
late viewer from Philippines
Thank you.
Otherwise, it was really nice to see these and remember those stars and celebrities
FUN!
I forgot about Clint Eastwood and Clyde. Those movies were HILARIOUS. At least as a kid I thought so. I haven't seen then in at least 40 years. And Don Rickles was almost unrecognizable in that picture. Until you said his name. Then saw the resemblance of the old man I could recognize. And the original Star Wars. Was the first time major special effects were in a movie. EVERYONE wanted to watch it. In my home town they only had One Large multiplex theater. And on SW opening weekend they kept the theater open from 10 am Friday thru the midnight showing Sunday night (Monday early morning). The theater had 6 screens. And the movie was shown on all 6 screens rotating times. Continuously that weekend. One theater the movie would end. They would go in and quickly sweep and remove any trash. Then start the next showing. The poor employees. They had to even go to all of the 5 grocery stores to restock candy and soda AND popcorn. But they still charged the same prices for smaller sized products. My big brother and I walked the 5 blocks from our house to the theater. At 6 o'clock Friday morning. They had off duty cops covering the line. To stop any big kids from pushing smaller kids out of line. And to stop people from cutting in line. My brother and I took turns taking bathroom breaks. My Mom would of killed him if she knew he left me to go to the bathroom alone. But I remember when he had left me the second time, when he came back. These kids were screaming for the cops because they thought he was budging the line. And the cops tried to kick him out to the back. Everyone was screaming i was only 8 and i was trying to stop the cops. Finally I grabbed the cops arm. And SCREAMED LET GO OF HIM HE'S MY BIG BROTHER. And my brother kept saying she my sister I can't let het wait alone. And the cop let go of him, but they stood by just to make sure no fights broke out. And I was And the line of people waiting was over half the length of the strip mall. We weren't able to get in for the first show, but we got in for the second show. We thought the special effects were so awesome no movie had had anything close to that quality before. Now looking at it over 50 years later it looks cheesy and bad quality. But at the time it came out it was the goat.
she always looked like a princess ❤😊 . Will forever have her in our hearts and souls yes yes yes 👍💓💖🥰🥰🙏🙏 .
Cool stuff about the stars. I love John Ritter he reminds me of my brother. He did a few dramatic roles I thought he was great actor. Always love and admire John Ritter. He died too soon, God bless his heart so much.
Ww
This voice I can't take anymore it just make's My skin crowl.
So good
The "Old Hollywood" banner is a bit of a misnomer but the photos are rare and fresh enough to be enjoyable all the same..........!
16:58 Aunt Esther' purses LMAO🤣🤣😂😂🤣
Flip Wilson ❤
Not only are most of these promo photos and so edited, some aren't even photos!
"Bullet Bra" 😂😂😂
These are wonderful, thank you. But you should know, nobody used the word "groovy" after around 1967. "Far out," "freaky," "cool..." but "groovy," nah.
Sophia Loren was beautiful and so was Lucille Ball.
It’s Gina Lola Bridge ah da
Yes!! GEEna Lolla BRIDGE ida
@@tricivenola8164 Your’s is a much better translation 😊.
I really enjoyed this video - my only comment is that the up and down panning of the photos was annoying as it would have been easier to focus on each one if it stayed still. Otherwise, it was really nice to see these and remember those stars and celebrities. Thank you.
The slow panning of these photos makes this video almost unwatchable.
Certainly have a different definition of old Hollywood and I do. What the hell does Stevie Ray Vaughan and Jimi Hendrix have to do with the Hollywood
What does British band Jethro Tull have to do with "Old Hollywood"?
Angelina Jolie felt out of place with the rich kids at Beverly Hills high? Wasn’t her father rich by then himself?
Jon Voight was not financially supportive towards his ex wife and kids
The torpedoes is what made me stop
And the a.i. robot voice mispronounced names....yeeeesh.
The young Steven Segall looks creepily like Emily VanCamp!! Could be father and daughter!
This is introduced as unedited photos from old Hollywood, but you open with Stevie Ray Vaughn, then John Mayall. They're great musicians, but have nothing to do with Hollywood.
Sophia LOR’ en is the correct pronunciation. ❤
No, the emphasis in "Loren" is on the second syllable.
Ian Anderson Hollywood?
Loved Hulk Hogan before he went Hollywood
that poor orangutan was beaten to death by his 'trainer'
What does any of these people except for a couple people have to do with old Hollywood
~ I wouldn’t call this “Old Hollywood”.
I Love Stevie Ray Vaughan To This Day - But Why Is He In A Bunch Of Photos Relating To Hollywood??? Or Jimi Hendrix??? Or Any Other Musicians?? Soul💞Soul, Stevie💗😘
19:06 . . Do not make fun of this woman. . She was injured in the Vietnam war, where she was struck in the back by TWO Cruise missiles. . .
Natalie Wood's first upskirt shot occurred in "Miracle on 34th Street".
Just sayin'..........
Wasn’t that Cher with the pink station wagon?
I thought so too, but it's not. Shorter face. It may be Barbara Feldman.
No, this was a magazine add with a model.
Wasnt Angelinas dad a Celebrity actor….?🙄
between the narrators voice and the photos floating up and down this was hard to watch.
The traitor steven segal has no place here
While the narrator's voice is impressive, it's not a good narration voice. It's too deep to be clearly understood.
It would be great for ASMR, where the tone and hypnotic quality matters more than clarity.
Nope find a different creative outlet please.
Women who act are called actresses not actors get it right
"Actor" is NOT gender specific and can be used for either male or female performers, but "actress" does refer only to females.
"Actress" is a bit dated now, younger actors don't use the word. It's inevitable in English that the -ess/-ix ending disappears. Like when I was a kid, a woman handling an estate was called an "executrix," a term that is never used today. Anyone handling an estate is an "executor," regardless of gender. The -ess/-ix ending as a feminine form of words that end in -or is from Latin, a gendered language. English is not gendered, so those gendered usages usually fade out of the language. "Waitress" is the only one I can think of that's still in wide use.
The bikes were in Tasmania as a child in the 80’s
