      Glad you enjoyed the asmr! Sounds 3 years with your Corsair can justify an upgrade lol

    Really need some sound dampeners tho

    • @AustinV
      @AustinV  3 года назад +2

      It already has foam in the case and behind the pcb so I don't think it can really get any more dampened :(

      @@AustinV you can take out the screws in between the g and h keys, the left of the q and the one next to the bracket keys to remove some of the metal sound

      helped a lot for me u can look at my typing test if u want, used shelf liner to dampen too

      @@saiph4986 Thanks for the tip! Since writing that comment, I bought some silicone o rings to put on the standoffs to help soften the bottom out sound and I think it really helped!

    i actually prefer the sound of the stock switches lol, would you say that the difference in feel is worth lubing them regardless?

    • @meese1k
      @meese1k 3 года назад +2

      yes. the feel is gonna be way smooether

    • @AustinV
      @AustinV  3 года назад +2

      @@meese1k Ben is right. There's going to be a significant difference in smoothness and also will get rid of any ping that the springs would have.
      If you don't like the sound that 205G0 gives, try a thinner lube like Krytox 203 or Tribosys 3203. You could also try mixing in some Krytox 105 oil or use oil only to lube them just for smoothness.
