Masterpiece ever. Longhorn rules since 2013. The others look cheaper beside longhorn until now 2024. Great
Love the ‘ L O N G H O R N ‘ letters on the bottom of the tail gate.
Me too! When I first saw this truck in the parking lot I noticed the lettering and had to literally run over to check it out :)
Wood in interior best looking! Perfect!
That video finally pushed me over the top, I'm switching my GMC to RAM. I absolutely love that interior and grille. Dang, its like RAM just doesn't stop making that truck Bad Ass. Love it.Only ONE thing I would change and thats the dial shift. Know it works well, but we want a pistol type shift. still buying that truck!
I hope gm put such a interior on the Silverado
I've always loved the Ford King Ranch. Now I'm torn between this Ram Longhorn and Ford King Ranch
Excellent presentation. Well done. Best I've seen. (I own a 2016 Longhorn and love it.)
I'm ready for you to do a 2019 Ram cause nobody gives detail on a vehicle like you do! GJ
6 years ago, I buy 18' Ram 1500 pickup Mike.
Didn’t like the new front grille on these higher trims at first, but they’re growing on me. They do really stand out in person and look nicer in person.
Can't wait for you to do a review on the 2018 Ford F-150
Beautiful interior. I wish the rear seats had a flat floor like the F150. Over all, a nice looking interior.
Congratulations, great video about this fantastic pickup. Unfortunately here in Brazil it is not sold yet, but in my best dreams I still hope to take advantage of a RAM 1500 Laramie Longhorn. I just missed the Rambox Cargo Management Sistem.
Mike, you do outstanding reviews. Keep the pointer...very cool. Now, about the truck: RAM has the best interiors IMO....I own one. In 2015 I ordered a 2500 Laramie Mega Cab with the 6.4 Hemi and 4.10 gear ratio. The only options that I did not get are the sunroof and the rear air suspension. I was out the door for less than $50k. My point is that these trucks are awesome but they are getting to be ridiculously expensive and, frankly it's these "trim packages" that drive a lot of that expense. IMO the best value for a trim package in the RAM lineup is the straight "Laramie" package. They build a lot of them and they discount them deeply....even if you custom order from the factory like I did. If you get into the "Longhorn", "Limited" and some of the newer trim levels you'll pay top dollar. Same with Ford: The "Lariat" trim level is the best value. Get into the "King Ranch", "Platinum" and "Limited" and you're adding a hell of a lot to the price tag. With GM trucks it's the "LTZ" that's best value on Chevy, "SLT" on GMC. I'm referring to the upper end best value....the RAM "Big Horn" is a great package if you like cloth seats. Just my two cents here....I don't think that it's possible to make a bad choice among any of these trucks anymore but you can pay too much if you don't shop around for exactly what you want. Thank you again Mike!!
Thanks for the detailed info :)
Please do a review on the 2018 Chevy Spark! That is my dream car with the intermittent wipers and floor mats. I would have a hard time deciding between the Spark and a Ram 1500.
The most beautiful truck I have ever seen 😍
Nice E-coated frame and cross members.
it should have wireless charger in front console comportment where you have keyfob...plugin phones on cables is quiet inconvenience in vehicles
Apple Carplay and Android Auto apps require the phone to be plugged in when in use.
I agree that they should find a place for a wireless charger as well.
Nice pick up truck you should do a review on the 2018 Cadillac Escalade because it’s a very nice car and it’s also my dream car
the pointer is epic!
Love the pointer....oh, and the truck is sweet too!
Really like that truck
I like the pointer, haven't seen one of those since the 5th grade
Time That's his hand, he doesn't like to talk about it. Shh.
My everyday truck!! Wonderful review bro.
Ram needs to step it up my 2013 2500 megacab looks almost exactly the same disappointed but not surprised
your review and pointer in on the point (y)
Can you try to find a Ram 1500 night edition? I’m really wanting to see a review of it
lol love it mike ! Keep up the good work
Excellent review as always
Edit : keep the pointer. .will become your signature :)
blocksterz haha I love the pointer I'm glad I keep seeing it :)
Ford trucks is better than the dodge trucks
Great video about my Dream truck ❤️
Love the white leather.
That lighting system should be the other way around! Headlights and tail lights MUST be L.E.D. on a truck of this amount of $$$! Your yellow hand pointer? Really funny!
Ed Simons , Tail lights are LED. The front signal lights are yellow DRL headlights, they are VERY bright. Anyhow, daytime LED running headlights should be added
Same as my 2014 Laramie. Other than some minor items.
Ram is the Best!!!👍
I clicked the like button just for the yellow pointer hand! Great videos as usual.
i clicked for the truck
Hey Mike, do you know if you can set individual themes on the updated uConnect 8.4 with the 2018's like you can with the 2017 model uConnects?
I have yet to see anyone mention this.. but, is the center console well(inside) cooled depending on if your AC is on? if I have some sort of power adapter in that big storage well, id like to know its cooled. I ask cause I know my crappy old 2005 Mercedes C class (the most basic one) has a cooled inner-center console, which surprised me. I was wondering if this had it. or If other ram models have it.
No RAM does not have a cooled compartment.
MikesCarInfo thanks for the fast reply! I been binge watching your videos! Super in depth! I love it
where are the ram boxes?
Damn nice!
Werry Good Video!!!
well done Mike, question, can you ask Underwoods for me is having the truck lights on the roof like the 2500 an option for the 1500, if not why, also why dont they have backlit cupholders like the rest of the Dodge range
Ok I'll get some answers for you.
No the clearance lights on top of the cab are not available from the factory on the 1500 however they can be installed at the dealer as an accessory. No one can answer exactly why the cupholders are not not backlit except maybe the designers :)
Me encanto!! ;)
I want one of those
Please ! where did you buy the yellow hand ? Very good video :)
Little Hand Pointer - amzn.to/2jNp6lv
MikesCarInfo Thanks !!😊😊
I have one of these Ram Laramie Longhorns….EcoDiesel. My BIGGEST complaint is the NAV system. It sucks! And this truck came BEFORE Apple Car Play. So, I either have to buy a new head unit in order to remove the NAV.
But EVERYTHING else has been great! I have NO other complaints.
Hahahaha look at the difference in the STICKER price THAN and NOW…😂 I guess I’ll keep mine forever.
Phone cupholder?
very nice. :) but still dont like the gear shifter..
MRJohnDeere3720: you may not like it, but Dodge has never been good at building a good column shifter compared to Ford and GM. i had two different Dodge pickup trucks in my life and the 98 Dakota i owned, had an issue with the shifter and transmission and my dads old 2001 Dodge Durango had a similar issue. when Ram became there own company that's when they got more reliable. i have a 2014 Ram 1500 big horn that has that shift knob and it's been the most reliable truck i've ever owned. it's smooth and it shifts phenomenal, and it also frees up alot of space. so reliability is more important than what type of gear shifter it is. i know that ZF makes it and Fiat is not known for reliability, but Fiat didn't have any involvement this generation Ram, atleast since this body came out. 2010 was the last time you could get the old 5 speed auto, but in 2011 is when they changed it. i don't know how reliable that first gen is of this body, cause i don't buy a first year model of any vehicle. so it's a good thing i waited, plus my old 2003 Toyota Tundra held me over and i got a really deal on it because Toyotas hold there value.
MRJOHNDEERE3720 it's actually really good
Nice video but what's with the ptastic finger?!
Fun :)
MikesCarInfo 😂
Can I ask which RAM trim is the highest? and which is better the longhorn or the limited?
Limited is technically the highest... but to me, they are both about the same with the only difference being the style.
MikesCarInfo I plan to buy a RAM but I'm torn between the longhorn and the limited. What do you think?
Muito tope
nice interior but man the lite color floor mats would have to go they wouldnt last a week and lite interior no way get dirty to easy
So is the back seat spacious?
Extremely
The truck is nice but get rid of the gear shift
For the love of God keep the pointer
tough shit, i like it.
Gateway teuck on the planet
dodge
This pickup truck is old already.
Miguel Baeza Yep, the model has been around with only minor revisions and updates sice 2009. The diesel option was a nice change but it's ready for a full redesign.
It’s already getting redesigned in 2019. The 2019 Ram 1500 looks different
Gerald G , the 2019 Ram 1500 is already getting a redesigned look. Expect to debut at 2019 Detroit Auto Show
Miguel Baeza says the guy with a ugly ass car lol
It's still nice but I hate this new grille
Borderline tacky
The yellow pointer is not needed please don't use it :)
Khalifa Alshalal it's very distracting. His reviews are still great, and I get he might be adding it for humor effect, but it is really annoying to me and acts as a distraction
I understand that we all have different perceptions and I am not trying to dismiss or discount yours. However I will continue to use the pointer at certain times in the video. Let me explain the benefits and maybe you will not see it as childish...
It gives me better reach around the camera.
it is smaller, more precise, and gets in the way less than my big hand.
I can safely tap it against surfaces to show the hardness/softness.
It gets people's attention.
It is another way to differentiate my videos and make them more memorable to newcomers.
In addition... feedback has been mostly positive.

it is needed, it lets people know what he's talking about.
If it doesn't have the air suspension it's a useless truck!!
