It's a shame that a therapist talking about sex addiction, a real problem; is considered inappropriate. While these same companies will push topless women bouncing on inflatable toys in a bathtub, to the very top of the list.
Those videos are not monetized - they’re used to build a channel following so it can be sold to someone later who will monetize it with something else, or use it to promote something they want to reach viewers. It’s an exploitation of the system, yes, but it is not the same thing as this.
I get RUclips wanting to censor graphic content, but this is a serious topic that is talked about nearly enough. RUclips needs to fix their algorithm to tell when something's meant to be educational. I'm sorry the original got taken down. You made a lot of great points.
RUclips has the ability to limit the videos different accounts see and even has a kids feature. I get not wanting to go ham and have all kinds of explicit content on here but at the moment having many serious topics be risky to talk about on a platform that can filter for adults is a bit ridiculous.
RUclips cherry picks who they want to demonetized though, I reported a couple of modded Minecraft videos that were gear towards kids because it was showing the characters literally pooping on the ground. They’re still up smh
Doubt an algorithm can do that, they would need real people evaluating videos such as these. Which they won´t hire cause then they would have to pay them!
I'm sorry about the demonetization. Especially since you're addressing this as a therapist. Going through alc addiction (3 weeks sober) atm and in-person therapy and virtual therapy is really helping. I'm sorry that you trying to help people and pointing out real issues portrayed in accurate fictional works is impacting your income. Thank you!

I don't think that Ive ever seen so many people want to help someone out as much as to flood the comments with super-chats, honestly an incredible community Georgia has built.
Like with most people living in bad situations, I always thought that all the sex and drugs are just ways for everyone to take their minds off of the lives they have.
Man, it's alarming how much we've changed as a culture to prostrate ourselves to corporations. Where once the expression, art, and communication were the foundations of creation, has now been replaced by an incessant need to monetize it.
Our culture used to prostrate itself for the church and its moral guardianship. The masters are different but in practice seems like little has changed imo.

Oh yeah, it becomes very clearly apparent with david's addiction in the second part of the show once he becomes the leader. Cyber psychosis was presented in a cool way in the show
I really loved that analysis too. Honestly this topic has been such an interesting one in media as it’s been kind of a taboo topic yet I feel it to be very prevalent in todays time. Well done on this :)
Oh you know what I do wanna expand on this. I went thru a year of therapy, even shopped around for the right person prior to that year commitment. I even went to group SAA, to learn alittle more for the difference between addiction and healthy balance. I’ve come to the conclusion that I’m not addicted but rather just designed to want it and on the borderline of deprived of social and psychical engagement- especially in todays social and economic environment. With that being said, what are your thoughts on this natural biological need in a society where it’s made easier to get gratification alone compared to the stresses that correlate with having it with a partner? A biased question, yes, but I’m convinced that the stress of a partner is more San-devastating than taking care of it alone. It’s natural to want more and satisfy more in aspects in life, so why is sex so demonized ?
Interesting point at the end about power, because in cyberpunk power can be represented by augmentations or “chrome”. And the more chrome you have the more “corrupted” you become until you become a cyberpsycho.
I'm addicted to writing. I've written hundreds of webnovels in the past decade. Which is fine, I guess lol. But then I started getting into Smut recently and spent like 16-20 hours a day for months on end just writing and posting stuff... But I feel like the real 'addiction' was being able to talk to people lol. I was writing a chapter with like 2-10k words, only so that I could chat with a few people for a few seconds and then... Back to writing lol. I do enjoy writing, but sometimes I'll write a story I don't care about just because I feel the need to make some random person on the internet happy. It's not even about money, because I'm not making anything off this. Or maybe my addiction is feeling like I'm being 'productive'. I don't feel like I'm wasting my time when I write. I'm creating something that makes people happy. And it feels good.
I've noticed that it's actually a pretty common situation. Like a lot of the authors I've talked to have had similar experiences. Especially the more mid-tier popularity ones. Like if they're getting tens of thousands of comments, even just thousands of comments per day, people tend to get overwhelmed(I've been there once or twice lol) but when you're not getting anyone talking or commenting for a while, you start to feel a sort of withdrawal from the attention... It's probably even more dramatic among streamers and youtubers et cetera lol.@@ivanscynthia4521
Back watching and commenting for the algorithm. I'll echo what others have said, the fact that the original was demonitised is a real shame. Not only was it educational and genuinely important content that the platform is in desperate need of, but it was also a brilliant video. Plus your cosplays are always amazing
I learned a lot from this video, and I don't see any reasons to censor it. Thanks for publishing it again, as long as you do videos, me and many people won't stop learning new things. Most of them very important, btw
Cyberware addiction is easy to fall into in Cyberpunk. There's a constant competition to be as productive as possible, even office jobs require employees to have implants to help them work longer hours, eat less and sleep less. Even athletes are given invasive implants as children to even stand a chance of making it. I played Phantom Liberty earlier and a gig took me to a secret facility where they held auctions for child athletes, where they were even giving 9 year olds Sandevistans and limbs capable of breaking tempered glass walls. Humans have become commodities in the world of Cyberpunk that can be discarded as Corporations see fit.
nudity doesn't always mean sex. I mean, ofc sex sells, that's why they show it, and that's why there's so much sex business in Night City but they also show how the netrunners need cooling during challenging dives (,the game shows that cyberware needs maintenance by the user) and then there the body-disphoria when you're basically your ganic spleen and brain sitting in a robot body. I saw being indifferent to whether the body is clothed or not as sign of detachment. they don't discuss how the feedback from the cyberware feels, how much you're aware that these are not your limbs, how well good cyber-fingertips feel and if they have the good ones, when you dial down pain what other sensations do you mute, do you have phantom pain or do the implants manage that.... I mean the characters can talk a lot about how good it feels to be chromed up, but I smell copium and lots of green juice to keep them going.
Honestly my superpower is recognizing I’m in the average. That helps me better gauge the amount of work I need to do to accomplish something and helps me navigate the world around me.

Thank you for re-uploading your video with the censorship (though I wish you didn't have to). It shows how much RUclips actually censors creators who are out here talking real shit and making real content. I mean yeah, sexual subjects are typically reserved for adults, unless if they're educational - which I would totally classify this as. We shouldn't be afraid to teach people what a healthy sex life should be, because even a lot of adults don't know how to have one - let alone children who shouldn't have to rely on trial and error or abstinence.

Please do a series on Netflix's One Piece next! I would LOVE to hear your take on all of the characters. The cool thing about them too is that each of the main characters get flashback that ties into who they are in present day.

I tend to suspect that much of the etiology of disorders are rooted in something similar to the OCD fronto-striatal-thalamic network. Even such that, many instincts in the modern context of life can lead to pathological mental states, these desires (for fear & pleasure) can suggest compulsive behavior, especially as we fall into stressful & adverse circumstances. Wait until marriage. Keep in mind that they matter more than their body, and remember to question your actions regularly, (and yet fairly.) And consider the way you see others might just influence the way they see you. Would you rather them see your worth, and still it as yours, or something that they can exploit? There is wisdom in controlling yourself before the problem even starts. But ultimately you must decide to take risks, and experience life for yourself. Live it well.

It doesn't matter at all what the focus of your fixation is...if you're being self-destructive or harming others to get it...that's some variation of addiction. Otherwise, it is quite literally harmless. No matter how much you crave sex, if you're not actively hurting yourself or others to get it, then it's not an addiction. That said, behavioral addictions are considerably different from chemical addictions. Being fixated on maintaining a habit is one thing, going through physiological trauma as a result of not getting a particular chemical anymore, is another matter entirely.
