I started building LEGO when my mom ordered a simple125-brick set from a Velveeta cheese promotion for $1 in the early 70s. I remember the Christmas I wanted the set that had a molded green tree, I thought it was so cool. All these years later and I still have those sets mixed into my city bricks and I am still building with LEGO. I just put up some new shelves and put all the LEGO postcard sets on my wall using Command strips. So much fun! Happy Birthday!

Nice update! We just started going down the rabbit hole of collecting the brick heads as well. I received my first Lego at the age of five and haven’t looked back in 43 years.
I'll be honest, I don't quite remember how long I've been collecting lego. Basically my whole life, starting with Lego Star Wars sets, probably around the age of 3 or 4, so about 2 decades or so.
That seems to be the path most people take (including me). I didn’t collect much at all as a kid, but definitely addicted again lol. Good luck in the giveaway!

@@bingersbricks I am currently adding lights to my city but I will likely rebuild some sets like monorail and trains. Metroliner is at top of list followed by monorail to add to my city. I don't plan on ever selling.

I completely understand! Lego is very expensive now! It stinks cause it drives so many people away from the hobby. Not to mention it’s almost impossible for kids to collect :( hopefully you win and can buy something nice. Good luck in the giveaway!

been collecting for about 2 years now. It's a fun hobby. Trying to budget between Lego and Magic the Gathering is hard sometimes lol

I got back into Lego as an adult when I got the ucs Star destroyer 2 years ago

I started collecting again in 2011with the Star Wars UCS's. I have most of them from 2011-2023 and will continue to collect them.
You must have a huge area for displaying your sets. A lot of those UCS sets are huge lol. Good luck in the giveaway!
